We really feel we got value for money. We had room 50 which has not yet been refurbished (I believe from previous reviews they have refurbished some rooms)

Hotel in an excellent setting overlooking Lake Windermere. Room was lakeside, very clean and well furnished. Restaurant evening meal was superb and good value for the quality. Breakfast again was excellent. Staff throughout were exemplary, attentive and very friendly. Would recommend.

The pool area is relatively small with around 5 or 6 loungers inside. There is also a steam room and sauna near the pool as well as the hot tub outside which will probably be suitable for around 6 people. On the numerous occasions we have stayed at this hotel, it was always possible to get a lounger (but we tend to go in December)
