This is a beautiful Arts & Crafts House above Bowness. The house is stunning, rooms exceptionally comfortable, and breakfasts lovely. There is a lounge for guests' use with TV / DVD etc. as well as an extensive library, and the garden, views, and surrounding countryside are beautiful. The guest kitchenette was an unexpected plus! A lovely B&B in a huge gorgeous Arts and Crafts manor house from 1906 located down a single windy road above Windermere/Bowness, and within easy walking distance of both small town centres and their shops and restaurants (though would recommend a taxi for winter nights). This is the perfect place to explore Lake Windermere. Tony and Rhoda are gracious hosts and their breakfast is outstanding. The house is a 1900's era arts and crafts home with oak woodwork and antique fixtures. The two rooms are generous sized and located upstairs with views to the lake (one room).
