This was our 3rd visit at the Glenburn and we were not disappointed. Our room(115)was lovely and clean, overlooking the back so it was very quiet. Bed comfy and towels nice and fluffy. Housekeeping replenish coffee, tea, milk etc everyday. The breakfast was very tasty, hot and well cooked. Great scrambled eggs. All the staff here are very polite and helpful, especially the young lady on reception who explained everything perfectly about the hotel joining the Woodlands to make a bigger place. This has made a huge improvement as the breakfast room is a lot bigger and 2 lounges to sit in. We thourally enjoyed our stay and will be back for a 4th time.

Fantastic place to stay and the hotel is in a good location for pubs, restaurants and Lake Windermere. I absolutely loved the personal touches in the room, chocolates, toiletries. There is a cosy bar which is great for a nightcap! We had a great breakfast and opt for the cooked breakfast which was delicious. You can also have cereals, yoghurts, croissants etc. service at breakfast was very professional and to be honest service was extremely professional in all areas of the Glenburn. Would definitely stay again!

We have just returned from a lovely 4 night stay at the Glenburn Hotel - we had a really lovely stay - our room was clean and spacious and really comfortable - only one negative about the room was the shower - there was no pressure to it at all and we did ask for it to be looked at but if it did get looked at nothing changed - that definitely needs sorting in room 15 The room was cleaned everyday and was always supplied with plenty of tea, coffee, milk pots, hot chocolate and biccies - really good The staff are fantastic - helpful, kind and so efficient - especially when you go to breakfast - they literally do not stop and we didn’t have to wait for anything - breakfast was a fab selection and all of the cooked options were hot and very tasty - a special Mention to the two lovely Bulgarian ladies who work so hard at the breakfast service - they are both so hard working and conscientious The property itself is always warm and that’s lovely when you have been out walking on a chilly day It would help if at night time there was a light that came on in the car park as it can be quite difficult to see when manoeuvring your car - spaces are limited but we always managed to get a space A big thank you to everyone at the Glenburn for a lovely stay - keep doing everything you do - we will definitely be back to stay again

Arrived before check in so parked car and walked 5 minutes into Windermere. Plenty of shops, bars and cafes to pass time before 3pm check in. Greeted pleasantly at reception. Offered help with bags as room on 2nd floor but no need. Choice of breakfast times. Gorgeous room 15 on top floor. Comfortable king size bed, wardrobe and drawers. Tea/coffee/chocolate making facilities. TV and hairdryer. Ensuite bathroom with shower cubicle, sink and toilet. Shampoo, shower gel and small soap. Full English breakfast up until 10am; plentiful with toast, tea/coffee, cereal, fruit and yogurts. Delicious breakfast such good value and very attentive staff. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend a top floor room. Some reports of noise but not upstairs; just the lovely sound of a distant river flowing past. 5 minutes walk one way into Windermere and 15 minutes walk the other way into Bowness.

Great location, within walking distance of Windermere & Bowness. Car parking a bit limited, however we were able to use The Woodlands next door. Room spacious and well presented initially, however was disappointed with upkeep throughout stay. Breakfast was great, cooked fresh and plentiful. The main concern we had was the noise, as the walls are thin. Also the ‘quiet times’ mentioned aren’t kept to. The constant music from the bar area from 8:30am - 10:30pm was totally unnecessary as no one was around. Maybe the staff could be more aware of this. Liam needs some help with customer service as he was rather rude to a comment I made about him having a local accent. I would have mentioned this to a manager but there was no one on reception when we left. He really did take my comment out of context!!

Not a comfort place to stay. Run by juniors. Room had the worst bed, hard as sleeping on the floor. The breakfast no one seems to bother. The establishment is run by juniors serving the breakfast but not clearing the cereal dishes. We had to ask them twice to clear the dirty dishes. We had to ask for coffee refills. I could go on. All little things that matter. We would not stay again. The place needs to be refurbished bit tired. Won’t be coming back

We had a wonderful stay at the Glenburn Hotel. Our room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and spacious, and we had free parking at the back of the hotel. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of the lake, Windermere and Bowness with plenty to do and see. The breakfast really bowled us over as it was delicious and we were spoiled for choice. Will definitely return when we're in the area again!

This hotel is located near bus stops and about 20 minutes walk to Bowness. We found a a scenic walk way to part of Bowness walk which is easier and more relaxing than walking along the main road. Room access is unique , via a skeleton type key vs the normal contactless card. There is a small nice bar next to reception to relax after the long walk to and from Bowness. The room is okay, clean and the staff is helpful and efficient but you have to ring a bell at reception if no one is around - for service. We did not have any problems with this type arrangement, just be a bit patient. Bowness is the place to take boat tours on Lake Windermere - quite beautiful and relaxing. There are coaches also to other towns such as Grasmere etc from Bowness. There are many pubs and restuarants in Bowness, our favourite was The Flying Pig , the mussel dish is worth a try. Peter Rabbit attractions is also nearby.
