Stayed for 3 nights whilst my partner was working in the area. Windermere and Bowness are a short walk in either direction so perfect for me without a car. We were in room 7 which was newly decorated, carpeted and clean with a four-poster comfortable bed and spa bath.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review... i WAS expecting it. I am surprised the guests found me to be a hard faced cold hearted woman out to make a quick buck, when in fact i was very sympathetic towards the guests. I am sure I am not alone in hospitality when i say that this predicament is thrown at hoteliers on many occasions. The guests know exactly what they are booking when they go online and a classic double room will NOT accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. They also understand the cancellation policies clearly stated on Booking.com and our confirmation email. Children are very welcome at The Glenburn and we have 2 family rooms to accommodate them. Please do not criticise me or my hotel when the blame lies entirely in your own hands. Happy New Year from Fawlty Towers

Ali it's a little walk but not too far you could get a taxi and it would be just a few pounds. I stayed here this year and would highly recommend it.

Yes, I believe there is. But if there wasn't a hairdryer in the room, management is so obliging I am sure they would find one for you.
