We stayed here for one night in Jan after receiving a voucher as a Christmas present, and were both so impressed from start to finish with the quality of the hotel and staff. The hotel itself is an old Manor House and the room we stayed in (9) appeared to have been recently renovated with new carpets and furnishings yet...

Travelled 160 miles to stay at this hotel on 8.1.17 and we were both starving. Checked in at around two oclock. Went into bar for a drink and asked for a sandwich, was told the chef had a large party in and we would not be able to make us a sandwich. We then had to go back out to...

Stayed here for one night with my wife and four other family members. I can think of nothing negative to say and every aspect of the stay was excellent. Food was top class. Rooms were comfortable, well-equipped and spotlessly clean. Fabulous location in idyllic grounds and commanding beautiful views. deserving of special mention are the staff who are courteous and...

We have eaten here many times over the last 25 years but this was the first time we have had the pleasure of staying over after our meal. We were a little unsure about it since the management had changed but Albert was lovely as were some of the other staff, Michael, Luke and Robi stood out in their friendly...

We wanted a quiet short break in January, log fires, views, food, ambience and good service. We had no previous knowledge of this hotel which is well set back along a long drive from the main road and is right on the edge of the lake. From the moment we arrived we knew we had booked well. There was a...

We stayed for 3 nights in early December on a B&B basis. The hotel was lovely, cozy bar areas with roaring log fires were ideal for the late afternoon/early evening. The room we had was fine. The staff were all friendly and helpful. We did not have dinner in the hotel as it seemed to be rather expensive "fancy" cuisine...

The Cragwood is a set in a lovely plot by Lake Windermere with nice grounds and views from outside. Inside the hotel is a bit tired and there were some renovations taking place when we were staying. Sadly the new part of the hotel doesn't have any lake views, instead you over look the car park. The common areas are...

We stayed at Cragwood about 18 months ago with our black labrador and stayed in one of the dog friendly rooms. Our daughter stayed with her partner in another. The rooms were warm and extremely comfortable. Dinner in the evening was so good and I would absolutely recommend booking in if you are staying. You would not be disappointed. In...

My wife and I stayed here for one night as a post Christmas treat. Cragwood is in a beautiful spot overlooking lake Windermere. We were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. It was lovely to sit by the roaring log fire after having our very tasty cream tea, so relaxing after a busy Christmas. Our room was very...
