An unbelievably welcoming couple in Ian & Von. Hotel clean and tidy. Visit England 4* rating plus numerous other awards. Room was brilliant, comfortable, clean with a lovely en-suite. Great company to come back to after seeing the Blackpool illuminations and we enjoyed a drink in the bar area. Very inticing bar menu also. Slept soundly. Tea / coffee making facilities in room best I've ever seen. Superb (award winning) breakfast. Excellent value for money. We will return.

We wasn’t sure about how our trip to Blackpool would be this year, but went as before pandemic our stay at the strathdon was always 5*Veronica and Ian go above and beyond, from waking and enjoying the best breakfast we ate most nights there also this time instead of eating out,and the food is just brilliant along with the service that comes with it. Rooms are super cosy with the most comfortable beds, which is why we knew we would be in safe hands to go, great job with all the new measures you have had to put in place so well organised and could fault nothing. So again we had a super stay and already can’t wait to be back for Easter, keep up the good work and thankyou for another great holiday.

The Strathdon is an excellent small hotel, close to the promenade. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and made our weekend stay as enjoyable as possible. I have to compliment them on the breakfast which was excellent quality. They have a really good menu with plenty of choice - my favourite was the full breakfast omlette which is a fold over omlette and includes sausage, bacon, mushrooms and cheese. The Strathdon was clean and comfortable with very good bar and seating area, and they also offered a 3 course roast dinner for £20 per head which was great value. I should also mention that the tram stop is at the end of the street to enable you to travel to other areas of Blackpool. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to return.

This was our first stay at The Strathdon, we stayed Monday to Friday. The hotel itself is situated in a good location between the South and Central piers, with a tram stop at the end of the road making it easy to get around Blackpool's attractions. The hotel itself is extremely clean and our double rooms were modern and spacious. The hosts Ian and Veronica were very warm and welcoming and provided us with great hospitality. The breakfasts every morning had a selection that would please anybody and were cooked to perfection. I would recommend The Strathdon to anyone wanting to stay in Blackpool.

First impression, the exterior was well presented with flowers and benches which made the hotel stand out more so than some of the other hotels along the street.

Room to the left as you go in is a pub/lounge. Nicely furnished and decorated. Only had a single rum and coke which was £4.50. About average anywhere.

Next room was the dining room. More on that below.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Strathdon.

The hotel has taken good steps to deal with the Covid Pandemic which was very reassuring.

The hosts were fantastic, the room was spotless, comfy and a good size for the 3 of us. Tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries were a nice touch also.

Breakfast was unreal! Top quality produce used, not the cheap processed stuff some other places use.

The Guesthouse is ideally located pretty much half way between the Tower and Pleasure Beach. St Chad's tram Station is about 5 minute walk.

Our stay was very enjoyable and we'd gladly return.

Choosing accomodation in Blackpool can be a lottery, but our stay at the Strathdon proved to be a winner. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. Ian always had a daft joke which kept us amused,. Nothing was too much trouble and we were so relieved when they invited us back in after we had checked out and got caught in a torrential rain storm a couple of hours later. The location was excellent, rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious and any issue was quickly remedied. An evening meal can be provided but we only had breakfast, excellent choice and they were more than happy to adapt the menu to suit our needs. Veronica and Ian obviously work very hard and it shows, they should be very proud of their hotel. They are lovely genuine people who I would happily stay with again.

This hotel was situated not too far from the tram, so made it easy to get around. Upon arrival it was amazing to see social distancing rules were in place, so it made a safe place to stay. The staff were wonderful, friendly and definitely very helpful. This hotel has an amazing little bar room where you can just relax after a long day with a nice cold one. They have a flat screen tv in the bar. They have chairs outside which are very comfy., they have beautiful flowerbeds outside which make it easier to find on the way back x The food was exceptionally good, the breakfast was amazing and we ordered the biggest breakfast and couldn't manage it all. The food at evening meal was amazing, with homemade chips. Staff were always helpful and greeted us every morning with a smile.
The only downside was the two flights of stairs to get to the room, especially carrying a heavy case.
The bathrooms are a little small but enough for what you need them for.
The bedroom was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable, clean and we had a kettle and condiments to have that morning coffee. I stayed here with my boyfriend and we had the best weekend ever. Wished we booked for longer.
Would definitely stay here again. I give this five out five for amazing and very helpful staff.

A birthday weekend treat for me!! I go to blackpool twice a year!! Would not stop anywhere else.. The breakfast are the best iv ever had.. Due to the current climate with covid 19 dicided to try the bar meals instead of going to places like weatherspoons and Harry Ramsdons where we go regularly.. The bar meals at the strathdon are fantastic good value for money.. And so enjoyable.. Will be doing that more often.. The rooms are so clean and Ian and Veronica carnt do enough for you.. I would strongly recommend any one looking for a place to stay in blackpool try the strathdon you will love it!!

Stayed for two nights while we in Blackpool to see a friends band. Great small hotel. Made to feel welcome right away and was very impressed how immaculate everything was. So much attention is obviously paid to keeping this hotel spotless and nice attention to detail to make it very comfortable . Breakfast was great with options and perfectly cooked and presented.

Nice little well stocked and comfortable bar area Nice chairs outside as we were lucky to get some sun and in a very quite area,

Bedrooms are nice too with all those extra touches and the bed was super comfy. Great nights sleep.

Very very nice hosts. Felt like known them for years. Definitely looking to go back soon but for longer.
