With international travel almost at a standstill you have to look more closer to home at the mo, thus why a group of us with kids booked the bank holiday weekend at the Cardoun, Blackpool. I must admit I was apprehensive, maybe that was just my churlish snobbery kicking in, but my fears were well and truly allayed with the Cardoun and its genial host, Tracey. The location is as central as you can get insofar as its just off the front a mere 1 min walk if that! the property is spotless in every aspect, now I didn't do the 'four in a bed' dust test and mattress inspection but its clean trust me. Tracey clearly works very hard and is an excellent host, chef (her cakes are to die for!), bar manager and all round good egg, she bends over backwards for all her guests and no issue is too small for her to deal with. Breakfast is superb and made with good quality produce, parking is available in the a pay and display on the next street and is £20 for three days. To conclude would I stop here again, hell yes (churlish snobbery intact!!).

Tracy is a fantastic host, warm friendly environment. Lovely breakfast in the morning and beautiful homemade treats. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beds were extremely comfortable. Great for families as Tracy goes above and beyond for her guests, to make sure they have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended and we will be back very soon .

There's such a choice of places to stay in Blackpool, and the Cardoun was definitely the right choice for us. We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived from a friendly and professional landlady. The room was spacious with a big comfortable bed, fast wi-fi, spotlessly clean ensuite and good brew making facilities. We slept well as although it's very close to the promenade it's a quiet area. An excellent cooked breakfast made for the perfect stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to stay.
