This was my 4th visit to The Dutchman and will not be my last. As on every visit before we were treated,as were all the other guests, as if we were the most important guest staying there.
On arrival the car park in front of the Hotel was full but this was not a problem as they have a satellite car park which is more than adequate less than a 2 or 3 minute walk away.
Rooms are a bit small, but spotless and have everything you need, ours (6) even had 2 usb charging points, something I have only seen before in places charging a lot more. The courtesy tray was very well stocked, the room itself more than warm enough and lovely crisp white bedding on the bed.
Now we come to the food and it should come with a warning - you are going to increase your waistline.Every meal is better than good, cooked on the premises, beautifully served and HOT, including the Breakfast buffet which is unusual in itself, and the New Year buffet has to be seen to be believed.
Each evening saw us treated to live entertainment of a standard varying from good to excellent in the downstairs lounge, which was really comfortable and a pleasant place to be.
All in all I would rate The Dutchman as one of the best in Blackpool,OK it is not chrome and crystal,it does not need to be,just good honest superb value for money.Am I looking forward to my next visit - you bet I am!!!!

We had a double room with sea view, (that was good) room was a bit small, bathroom very small, sink to close to toilet wouldn’t suit anyone large, shower has poor pressure and is dated. Curtains needed to be changed to blackouts as to bright to early. Some of the decor was new, other bits old and needs a freshen. TV too small, free wifi in room needed only available in lounge area. The parking is free but off site, breakfast was good, staff very friendly and helpful, COVID plans well followed. They also have a bar that has good choice, reasonable prices.

There is an outside area to sit on the promenade but this needs more attention as it looks a bit shabby. They also need to empty ashtrays or provide a bin for guests
to but rubbish in.

Overall pretty good with some tweaks needed.

Me and my wife stayed here for 2 nights and we had a great time. The rooms are basic but had every thing we needed and most importantly clean. We didn't have a sea view but that was ok as we had booked the budget option. We were greeted on arrival by Julie who promptly checked us in, checking if we had any allergies or dietry requirements. Julie took us to a private car park just over the road from the hotel, this was included in the price. Even on the day of checkout she told us we could leave our car there for the day. The breakfast was really well organised, It was a hot buffet style full english with a great selection of cereals and drinks. They had entertainment on both nights of our stay so we went down on the Saturday night. The room has sofa style seating a massive plus with a small dance floor and games area. "Iggy" who was the turn was fantastic she really engaged with the guests and gave us a night of laughter and smiles. It is a family and couple hotel so no large groups and stag and hens. The location is central on the front so a nice stroll to either the pleasure beach or the tower. I was so impressed with The Dutchman hotel we are going to return with our children later in the year, I know they will love it as much as we did.

Was a lovely hotel.

Due to my mobility problems they changed our room from 2nd floor to the 1st floor which made our stay so much better.

All areas were clean and tidy.

The owner Julie and her staff were very helpful and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them.

On the 1st morning at breakfast I asked if
we could have fried eggs to be hard and not a runny yolk, every morning from then on she cooked and brought to our table perfect eggs.

There was plenty of selection at breakfast including a Full English Breakfast which you could have as much or as little as you required.

The cereal selection was extensive!

All branded cereals not supermarket brands.

The Dutchman Hotel was great value for money and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Located on the seafront in good central position with sea views and to catch the tram.

Julie and her team are the most friendly hardworking and helpful people you'll come across . The rooms and public areas are kept spotless at all times. After 3 separate stays at this hotel in 3 different rooms I really can't fault it for a family budget hotel . The breakfast is excellent and unlimited. The lounge bar / restaurant has great sea views a d the basement bar has occasional good free live entertainment and also a kids entertainment area with pool table and games .highly recommend for families and couples alike but could be a problem for people with mobility issues. Hoping to return at Christmas all going well with the current situation. Hope to hear soon . The hotel is well situated on the prom only a 3 minute walk from Manchester square tram stop and 5/6 minutes from central pier.

Really friendly staff, nothing is too much trouble. I think we may have got the smallest double room in the hotel (12), there was approx a metre either side of the bed and at the foot there was one single chair and a desk with tea and coffee on. We were there for 3 nights so would have been nice to have somewhere to sit in the room other than on the bed, or eachothers lap! The shower was no more than a dribble, perhaps being top floor the pressure isn't so good. Having said this, it wouldn't stop us from returning, we'd simply request a different room in the hopes it would be a bit bigger. Breakfast was brilliant, cereals, toast, fruit juices and then then hot buffet. Bacon was excellent quality and the restaurant is nice and clean and tidy. Lovely sea views to enjoy with breakfast.

My Wife and I had a 3 night stay at the Dutchman, you have to appreciate the hotel building is very old and as no lift . The staff are very helpful and will ensure your stay is the best you can have the room was basic and clean a comfortable bed also free Parking and breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had in any hotel stayed in. Full english, fruit, cerals, what ever you wished for, 2 evenings entertainment thrown in to. the bar was very affordable offering all lagers and beers you would expect to find in a busy pub. On the Whole a very enjoyable and friendly hotel who will cater for your needs.

Could not find any faults with my stay here. Very friendly staff, hotel is very clean and is complying with all COVID guidances. The breakfasts are fantastic I would highly recommend this hotel to any families or couples . It is excellent value for money, I’ve stayed at a lot more expensive hotels that don’t come close to the Dutchman 🙂

Nearest tram stop is Manchester square which is only a 3 minute walk from the dutchman or there's a bus stop across the road . Last year I got a taxi from bpn station and it was £5 . Have a look on Google maps for an idea of location. Blackpool transport tram and bus day and week unlimited pass are excellent value if you wanted to get about without to much walking . Hope this helps with your question.
