Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I’ve been staying here on my visits to Blackpool for about 8 years now, Terry and Scott, are great hosts, the rooms are comfortable, tastefully decorated, all en-suite, and clean, Terry is always available even if he’s not in the hotel, just a txt or a call he’s quite accommodating, and several times I’ve stayed at very short notice and sometimes when he’s very busy but has managed to fit us in.
I’ve always had the cooked breakfast which is tasty and terry is always on hand to top up your tea, coffee, juice and toast. A large selection of cereals are also on offer if you prefer, in the evenings he will open his bar for a couple of hours if you request to have a few drinks, which I must say his drinks are at very reasonable prices, and having a catch up, a bit of a banter and gossip always goes down a treat, he is very knowledgeable when it comes to local bars and attractions. (However for me I’ve been coming to Blackpool for 35+ years so I know my way around)
If you want advice on restaurants and bars he’s the man to go to! If you want a little something extra in the room as I did once (champagne, chocolates, ice bucket with flutes) again it’s not too much trouble!

As long as Terry has this hotel I won’t stay any where else in Blackpool of a weekend unless he is fully booked,

Only draw back is he’s only open weekends nowadays,

We treated my parents to show and night in Blackpool and chose the Wilcot for them to stay as it was local to Winter Gardens where the show was. Both parents could not speak highly enough of Terry and Scott who run The Wilcot. Extremely friendly, helpful and informative. They raved about their stay, telling us their room was modern and stylish and comfortable and told us about their amazing breakfast and how Terry kept their tea and coffee topped up.
Thanks for looking after them; they had a great stay with you and I have already recommended you to friends :)

It’s a typical Blackpool Guest house.

Host Terry was nice. The premium room wasn’t premium but okay. We didn’t have the breakfast but friends say it was okay.

Check out is very early at 10:30am

It was expensive for the area at £65 compared with a Premier Inn at £53

But it seems well occupied so good luck to them!

What a lovely stay we had at the Wilcot. Terry and Scott were excellent hosts and made us feel totally welcome. On arrival they let us check in early as the room was ready, which meant we could drop the bags and get out to explore Blackpool. Terry gave us some excellent tips of where to go and we had such a great time. The following day breakfast was the best I've had - great quality food and cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back!!

Several times per year I travel to Blackpool for leisure purposes and always stay at the Wilcot in Lord Street. Hosts Terry and Scott go out of their way to make you welcome and always with their brilliant sense of humour!
Nothing is too much bother for them. Rooms are all very comfortable and clean, breakfast is excellent and tailored to your needs.
Feels like a real home from home, thanks again boys

Clean and comfortable in a handy location.
Easy to reach from the railway station and close to the prom and bars.
The owners are friendly and helpful, serving up an excellent breakfast and running a bar that is great value.
I'd have no hesitation to stay here again, and would recommend The Wilcot to anyone.

Bought dad for his 85th birthday and Terry and Scott are brilliant hosts helping me bring everything in for the car and finding me free parking.
Breakfast is the best I’ve ever had at a B&B and even served me and dad earlier as w3 are early risers.
Will definitely book again
