Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We have recently just returned from this hotel, were we stayed for a weekend break, as a family. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts yvette and Paul. I had requested a specific room and they gave us this room. My mum struggles to walk far and relies on a wheelchair, paul was so helpful getting it in and out of the premises for us. My mums chair actually broke during our time there and they lent us a spare one the hotel has to use, paul then fixed my mums. We was so impressed.

Breakfast was nice. My little one didnt want the original order on our second morning, yvette was not bothered in the slightest and changed her order at drop of a hat. Thanks so much darling.

Oh even though covid 19 was still around, we felt more then safe there. Hand sanitiser everywhere, social distancing in the dining room, yvette even served food with a mask and gloves on.

Blackpool as a whole was so busy and not many places were actually doing track and trace. Weatherspoons down at South was doing track and trace one day but not the next. Coral island were doing track and trace and doing temperature checks, although this changed daily. One day they did my daughters temperature, next day because shes under 11 decided she didnt need it done. Consistency needed much.

However had a brilliant time at this hotel and will return at some point

Thank you yvette and paul, your diamonds xx

This was our first trip to Blackpool and we picked the Wellington Hotel as it had great reviews. First of all the hotel and bedrooms were spotless, you had an allocated table that you went to every morning where you could have cereal, toast, juice and a cooked breakfast which was piping hot. Nothing was too much trouble to Yvette and Paul who also got up on their day off to ensure we had breakfast before we headed home for the boat. Rooms were serviced every other day plus there were loads of signs in relation to masks and social distancing plus hand sanitisers that could be used throughout the hotel. Thank you for a lovely stay xx

First of all I'd like to say this is the best hotel we have stayed in in Blackpool we have been coming here for over 30 years. Paul & Yvette work very hard and nothing is to much trouble for them we had room 11 on the top floor which had a view of the sea. Nice comfortable room with tea & coffee facilities in . Breakfast was excellent you are asked what you would like and it was ready for you straight away along with a choice of cereals toast and fruit juice. We will definitely be coming back here in future years and we recommend this hotel to everyone. We will book directly to the hotel. Once again thank you for our stay at the Wellington.

We had a great stay. Paul and Yvette are a lovely couple and they made us feel so welcome. I got the impression that nothing would be too much trouble. Family room had plenty of space, good shower and tea and coffee stuff. Breakfast is pre-ordered every day so it's there ready for you at 9am, and it was excellent. We didn't use it, but there's a bar and pool room too. The hotel is in a great location, about 50 yards back from the promenade, between the Pleasure Beach and Central Pier. So it's just far enough back that there's no noise from the promenade at all, but it's literally a stones throw away. On-street parking is very, very limited, but we got lucky and nabbed a space. Although Paul did offer to see if he could help while he was texting us earlier on the day of arrival, so that was much appreciated. We would absolutely come back here if we return to Blackpool. We couldn't really have asked for more from our stay.

After the past 18 months we decided to go away for a short stay cation with our boys, and decided to go back again to their favourite UK destination Blackpool. We had a few options but based off of reviews on here decided to stay at the Wellington Hotel! And did not regret it one bit, lovely welcome from Paul who took our breakfast order for the week, and carried a bag up to our room. Room was clean, modern, boys lived the bunk beds, big comfy bed for my wife and I, and a quilt along with just a sheet as it was unusually hot in Blackpool! Slept well every night, shower and amenities were easy to use, decent sized kettle for a cuppa and the breakfast each morning was a delight! Yvette greets you every morning, coffee and orange on your table, cereal ready also, and once you sit at your table, milk is brought over, and as soon as your ready, your own personalised cooked breakfast is brought to your table! Yvette always kind and courteous, asked how our day was and what plans we had coming up. I don't think she realised we had been to Blackpool many times but such a great, easy place to stay especially with my sons disabilities and intolerances that were easily catered for! FYI for Yvette, it actually stopped raining as we hit the prom, so the 4 of us didn't get too wet! And rest assured we will definitely try to stay again on our next visit! Thank you, all the best and keep up the great work!

Fab stay, Paul & Yvette lovely people, our friends we were with have previously stayed on numerous occasions and recommended the Wellington. Glad they did as we will now look to book here in the future!! Rooms adequate we had two adults / one child. There was a double bed and a single. Shower was fine, towels available, kettle in room etc.
Breakfast is fab, pre ordered and time given. Works great!! Hotel clean!
Also if available Paul parks your car for you etc (handy)
All in all was a good stay and I will be highly recommending the Wellington to anyone I know looking for a hotel in Blackpool in the future.

I'm a bit fussy not going to lie, if there's dust or a stray hair I'll find it. I can honestly say I didn't find anything.
Not only is it spotless, the rooms are nicely presented and pleasant decor with the best bed I have Ever slept in.
We had a very nice surprise with a sneaky seaview from room 4.
Hosts Paul and Yvette make every effort to provide fantastic customer service and go out of their way to help you enjoy your stay in Blackpool.
I left feeling very relaxed .
If this was a TV show they would probably be criticized for the simple provisions of the tea tray but how many of us visiting Blackpool expect a choice of specialist teas ? I certainly don't and wouldn't drink it anyway.
Well done Paul and Yvette, we'll be booking again soon.
