Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Rooms are spacious, modern, and spotless. Beds are extremely comfy. Toilet and shower were clean and modern as well.
Located a 10 min walk from both Pleasure Beach and Central Pier on a quiet street with family run B&Bs around. Tram stop a 2 min walk away for the nights you just can't be bothered with a walk.
Breakfast was either cereals or a full English. Cooked breakfast hit the spot just right.
The lounge area was excellent for a quiet night after the pleasure Beach with the kids to just chill.
The hosts Jon and Chelle couldn't be more helpful, between telling us the best local restaurants, takeaways and shops, to even moving their car to let us get a space right outside.
In case it's not clear, we (family of 5) were incredibly impressed with the value for money and will definitely be booking again on out next trip to Blackpool.

Myself the wife and our three kids stayed for a couple of nights at the Ascot hotel what can I say the hosts/ owners were so welcoming they couldn’t enough to make our stay special. The room was fantastic for our family, large and spacious really clean. The breakfast was superb 👌🏻 the bacon 🥓😋😋😋and they have San Miguel on tap in the bar 🙌🏻 the location is awesome middle of the strip you come outside the hotel and you can see the sea at the end of the road it’s stunning. We enjoyed our time that much we’ve already booked to go up again to stay and see the illuminations.

Thank you to chell & Jon for a great 8 day stay over the half term. These are very difficult times for businesses in Blackpool with all the COVID restrictions. But they always had a smile on their faces and nothing was too much trouble for them. The hotel was clean from top to bottom.
The breakfast was great. The bed was very comfortable and with a large bay window with a sea view. The room felt light and airy. The shower worked fine and the bathroom was very clean and usable. Book directly with the hotel for a much better deal. We will definitely stay again when visiting Blackpool. This Hotel offers great value for families & with the lovely hosts, you couldn’t ask for more. For the amount of money they charge
Thanks again for a great stay

We stayed at the Ascot Hotel for four nights at the beginning of August 22. ( Second visit) We were made to feel so welcome by Chelle, Jon and Paige on both occasions.
One of their mottos is come as a guests and leave as friends, couldn't be more true.
Family room was perfect for the four of us, breakfast excellent, and overall great value for money.
Great location, just off the promenade and Jon helped to point us in the right direction regarding parking as anyone who has visited Blackpool knows that parking is at a premium anywhere near the seafront.
Look forward to staying there again in the future.

We stayed at this hotel for one night and would reccomend it to everyone. The hosts are so lovely and accommodating - nothing is too much trouble.

It has great amenities and the room was emactulately clean and well equipped with a designer touch.

We stay away a lot and wish everywhere we stayed was like this place. A real home from home.

Had a really lovely stay here at the Ascot hotel a couple of weeks ago.

Really good value for money, hosts very welcoming and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with cereals and cooked breakfast to order available. Location of the Ascot is a few moments walk away from the sea front. Couldn't have asked for anything better from our stay in Blackpool and would definitely stay here again if returning.

We were in room 6 up on the second floor, a double. I think we were unlucky with having loud neighbours in nextdoor room where we could hear them talking until well into the early hours but that is the only negative about our stay and only affected one of our two nights.

We took the train from London but if travelling by car, parking nearby would be an issue (there are many B & B's along the same road, all would have the same issue)

Second visit to the Ascot. There will be a third. Location is perfect. Close to everywhere you need to be but not too close that it's noisy. Hosts are welcoming and the breakfast is ideal. Thanks again for a lovely weekend. Will definitely be back on our next trip to Blackpool. Why go anywhere else when this place has everything? Thanks to John and Chelle.

After an 8 hour trip Jon and chelle were so accommodating from literally the second we pulled up. We had the family suite for 2 nights for 2 adults and 3 children. The room was so clean and the beds were very comfy. Plenty of room for all our stuff and the bathroom again was clean. The hotel itself is tidy, clean and welcoming. the pool table and sweet machines in the bar went down a treat with the kids (and us). Great choice of drinks in the bar and very reasonable prices. Breakfast was really tasty and plenty to keep you going. Now back to Jon and chelle.... Iv never been made to feel so welcome in a hotel. Nothing was to much for them and they will sit and chat to you as if you have known them for years, thank you both. It's a lovely family run hotel, perfect for families to stay. We will be back.

Room Tip: Nice quiet side Street but close enough to everything you need. A chip shop 2 seconds away :)
