Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So happy with a recent 2 night stay. Chosen for the location and the reviews and not in the least disappointed. Very friendly welcome, fantastic room and spotlessly clean and trust me I checked. The whole place is spotlessly clean, breakfast was quick and tasty and the staff that we met (young girl serving breakfast) was great and Kay and Adrian were brilliant hosts. Will definitely return

After a very eventful and late trip up from Southampton, the lovely owners, Kay and Adrian kept the bar open for us. The room was well equipped with tea/ coffee kettle ect, in the bathroom was a glass container full off everything you could ever want, shower gel, hand cream, soap, cotton wool, cotton buds and even a mini sewing kit to name a few. The bed was very comfortable with soft pillows, very tasteful decorated, with a sea view. Breakfast was cooked to a very high standard. I would highly recommend a stay here, I will definitely be coming back

Hadn’t been to Blackpool for a few years but chose to revisit for a break with my young daughters, as I know from experience there’s plenty to do should the British summer play it’s party piece. In the end, we were blessed with the weather and the choice of hotel was great. The Rutland was chosen primarily due to reviews I’d read and I wasn’t disappointed. Clean, presentable, accessible, conveniently located, great views and friendly accommodating hosts. Couldn’t ask for more. A great short break.

The most horrible host I have ever met. It was a while ago I was at the hotel. However the anger still stands, was made feel VERY unwelcome from the moment me and my friend stepped foot in the hotel. It is clear they do not like younger guests. The hotel itself was stunning, I stay in Blackpool atleast twice a year and was recommended this hotel by a close friend. I would have understood if myself and my friend were out to all hours causing a scene etc. this was not the case. We go to Blackpool for a break away, this hotel felt like a prison. I will give it 2 stars as breakfast and room was fantastic! But if you’re younger than 30 DO NOT BOOK. Well and truly disgusting the way we were treated.
