Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Norbreck hotel Blackpool in my eyes has won an award for being the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in the room was tiny dirty the bed was so uncomfortable it gave me back pains the bathroom door only opened half way had to walk in and out sideways and didn’t shut properly there were other guests hair in the bathroom the view from the window was shocking it was a roof of next door and alleyway was full of rubbish in the envelope that we picked up from reception that had our room card in was a piece of paper with our room details on at the bottom it said best room available ha ha also there was a gap under the door I could put my hand in never ever will I stay there again ! !

Absolutely awful hotel, not even going to describe what I saw on the towels in the room apart from absolutely disgusting and dirty!! Never staying here again. Walls need sound proofing especially from loud and noisy guests. Room was very dirty and outdated bed not so comfortable!

We attended a day time event here, the room itself was great, toilets were smelly and dates. Whole place is beyond dated. Can’t say much about the guests either. At 8am as we walked in, stepped over the cigarette stumps outside to a man burping in my ear. As we walked through, a man still drunk, slurring his words with a can in his hand There was a kid’s rave on too in the afternoon and I don’t know where to start with the people attending. It was like a documentary for Jeremy Kyle rejects. There are cleaner better places to stay in Blackpool. Vile

After reading the bad reviews I have to write this. Stayed last night on a caladoneon mystery trip. The queue to get key was a little while as only one givingout keys. Our rooms 242 244 248 were lovely. New beds new curtains new carpet. Everything was lovely. Hot water, hot radiators. Evening meal was delicious. A choice of chicken pork, steak pie buffet. Lovely and hot 3 choices of pudding. Breakfast was very good too. Nice and hot. Slowly been updated and nice place to stay.

We had a great weekend at the Norbreck blackpool, we were attending a burns celebration but decided to make a weekend of it. The staff were friendly and helpful the rooms clean and tidy, any problems, although minor were dealt with promptly and satisfactorily. The food at the restaurant on the Friday night was excellent and the food for the burns banquet was amazing. On the Sunday morning breakfast was really busy with over 300 guests in attendance all had plenty to eat staff again helpful and pleasant food excellent once again. Thank you the Norbreck 👏👍

The hotel was uneven making it difficult to walk around the corridors. The room was like a prison cell. Dated, unclean, a piece of the soap dispenser had fallen off into the bath. There was no curtain for the window in the bathroom. Cold shower. No towels in the room and couldn’t contact reception via phone so had to go down to ask for towels. No heating and we have a baby so went down again and the lady told us the radiators need bleeding and they’ll send someone with a heater. The staff were helpful and polite. The poor maintenance man was running around like a headless chicken giving temporary solutions to much bigger issues. The place needs closing down and a lot of money putting into it to get it up to the 3 star standard they claim to be. Absolutely horrendous.

Look if you're looking for 5 star luxury rooms then go elsewhere, but if you are after a clean, refurbished room with clean sheets, warm and pleasant staff then give it a try. The breakfast is buffet type and everything you can think of. Pool is well serviced, sauna is clean and well maintained. 👌

Just stayed at this hotel as part of a Caledonian Travel mystery trip! I have to say, when the coach found out they were staying here they were displeased to say the least. However, when we arrived, check-in was fast, our room was clean and the communal areas didn't seem too bad either. We had an evening meal and breakfast and the food was absolutely lovely! Reception staff, bar staff and dining room staff were all great! Not luxurious but for the price absolutely brilliant. Even the people from the coach and the driver said the place had improved massively and everyone seemed really happy with their overnight stay! Wouldn't be disappointed if I returned as part of a mystery trip again!
