Detailed Reviews
We stopped at the Charnley Gold last minute on the bank holiday weekend due to trouble booking an AirBnb. The owners were fantastic and made us 8 lads feel so welcome as so many that weekend elsewhere, didn’t.
There are no bad words to say about the stay. Rooms clean and well kept. Just what we needed. Reasonably priced per night and breakfast (which was included) in the morning was top notch.
If we ever visit Blackpool again, we will be contacting these guys again for sure.
Thanks again
Haydn and the lads!

We just stayed at Charnley Gold for the 3rd time. I highly recommend this hotel for the friendly welcome from the owners Martin and Annabelle who are a lovely couple and always make us feel welcome and special and feel at home. The hotel is comfortable and the breakfasts are full English and really filling and plenty of self service choices of cereals, fruits and pastries. Gets the day off to a great start. The location is a short walk to the sea front and there are plenty of shops and restaurants close-by.
We travelled over from Ireland by ferry and train and it is worth the journey, to be welcomed by this couple , highly recommend a stay here plus the prices are very reasonable.

Called and asked for availability on short notice ( family of 4, boy aged 10 and girl age 3) as we wanted to get away for a few days. A room was found no problem ( had struggled to find anywhere to accommodate us all at short notice) which was clean tidy and comfortable
(tea/coffee facilities, ensuite/TV). Staff all lovely, friendly couldn't do enough for us. Extra tea/coffee/towels always available no bother.
Town centre 5 min walk away, and the north pier/ tower only 10 min walk. Independent ( not connected to the B&B) car park is yards away and we loved the fact that the car was parked up ( close by) and we didn't have to worry about driving!
Breakfast great and quick friendly service, and great variety of choice for the kids and adults.
As with any seaside town would advise to go online and pre book attractions as can work out cheaper and allows you to plan your break.
Overall a lovely experience for us all, generally nice to see people happy to be by the sea, locals lovely too. Definitely going back, looking to book soon to avoid disappointment! Thank you Martyn &Annabella for a fantastic "home from home" experience!!!!

Choosing a hotel to stay in when visiting Blackpool can sometimes turn into a game of roulette so finding a hotel that offers such a great stay as Charnley Gold is a real win.
From the moment you walk in, the owners were friendly and attentive to what you needed from your stay. After a long drive, it puts you at ease knowing you have a warm welcome waiting for you.
The room itself was clean, well decorated and spacious with ample tea and coffee facilities. The beds and bedding were comfy with clean crisp bedding. It is worth noting that if you are coming up for a dance comp let the hotel know in case the fake tan ruins their nice bedding!!!
The bar area was clean, everyone was friendly and chatty and the prices were very reasonable.
It is worth noting that it is really worth talking to the hotel directly to get the best deal available rather than going through a 3rd party booking website.
Location is fantastic for access to the Winter Gardens and the Tower, and there is a sizeable outdoor car park at the top of the road which appeared to be well maintained and reasonably priced.
All in all, we had a great stay at the hotel and would gladly return in the future. Cheers!

Recently travelled from Edmonton, Canada and stayed for a fifth time (since 2016) at the Charnley Gold. Travellers often say Canadians are known for being friendly, but I feel that those from the North of England, especially here, put us to shame!
Annabella and Martyn have become like family and truly make this annual visit all the more special. They have always gone out of their way to accommodate any special requests and are always available when needed.
Breakfast here has always been exceptional. The cleaning staff are super-friendly and always do a fantastic job. Beds are comfortable, rooms clean and location is very convenient being only a five minute walk to Wintergardens and local pier-front attractions.
I had two rooms this stay as I had a couple friends travelling with me, and both were excellent, pictures included.
The main floor of the Charnley Gold has a small pub which has been the location of many fond memories over the years with friends and strangers alike.
This accommodation would be equally ideal for individuals, couples or families alike, and it is not uncommon to see a mix of all.
My title of this review sums up my feelings, " I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in Blackpool".

Charnley gold have good size rooms. You have additional electric radiators in your room incase you need that extra hit of warmth on returning to your room. The breakfast what Annabelle serves up is second to none. Both Annabelle and Martin have made a very welcoming comfortable and friendly place to stay. I shall definitely be staying with them again.

Just stayed for the weekend with our band for the annual spring festival contest at the winter gardens. We have been staying at the Charnley Gold for the last few years and will continue to rebook every year as long as we are in the contest! The owners are amazing and meet every single one of your needs during your visit. Accommodating our full band, providing us with the ability to rehearse in their dining room, making a buffet for us on the evening of the contest following with a full English breakfast cooked to perfection the next morning. All staff are amazing as always. What’s better is that it is only a short walk to the town centre and sea front! Thank you Charnley Gold for another incredible weekend and we will see you next year!

Needed a few days away and couldn't have picked a better place to go. A very warm welcome from Martin and Annabell, such a lovely couple who run this b&b, it's home from home and nothing is too much. The breakfas is freshly cooked and hot and what ever you want the staff are happy to cook. The beds are really comfortable and bedrooms are warm. Can't wait to go back soon
