Travellers' Choice
Looking for somewhere quirky? amazing? clean? welcoming? and fun? Somewhere with fabulous rooms, and a great atmosphere and a well stocked bar? Then look no further as the Mercury is the place to stay. Take a look at our photos and reviews then remember to book via our own secure website for the best available rates that travel sites cannot match. We are adults only (sorry kids) and pride ourselves on being different without compromising quality. There is music memorabilia throughout. The bar has a record player and a selection of LPs for guests to select play and reminisce. If you’re fellow music lovers, then this is the place to stay. Our eight en-suite rooms are individually themed and take you from London to New York (via Paris & Vegas) each with a quality bed, TV, toiletries, towels, hair dryer and kettle as standard. Our junior suites offer a lot more room for just a little more money (see room descriptions for full details). Situated between the South and Central Piers, we are yards from the promenade, bus/tram stops and a short walk to the Pleasure Beach, Winter Gardens, Grand Theatre and Blackpool Tower. Henry is our 'big friendly giant' dog, He is resident here therefore we do not take other pets. He is not present in the dining room during breakfast, and is never allowed near bedrooms.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is without doubt the best B&B I've ever stayed at, not just in Blackpool but throughout the whole country. It is immaculately clean and tidy. Gary and Jo definitely have an eye for detail and there isn't one thing that isn't considered. It's warm, cozy and has the most unbelievable music memorabilia through the whole building. The full brekkie was delicious and not shy on portion sizes, I didn't eat for the rest of the day :) We absolutely loved our stay here and we will definitely be back, hopefully for longer next time. Huge thanks to Gary, Jo and of course Henry the gorgeous dog.

Property's Favourite Review
We had the pleasure of staying here over queens jubilee weekend, nothing is too much trouble for Jo & Gary, they are the new owners and have never done anything like this before, but wow you’d never know it!! They were both so polite, the room was welcoming and spotless and the bed was super comfy, we loved sitting in the bar area playing cd’s and vinyl all night, we had the best time, all that music brought back so many lovely memories, and then the cherry on the cake came at breakfast time! The food was perfectly cooked and the portions were great, I definitely didn’t need to stop for lunch! The B&B itself is placed pretty central between south and north piers so all bars eateries and attractions are in a short walking distance We will definitely return, good luck with your new venture, if our stay was anything to goo ok by, you’ll do amazingly well!! We will be back soon thank you 😊

We stayed at the mercury hotel in December and had such a lovely weekend! We enjoyed having a drink on arrival in the bar area which we could have stayed in all night the decor is on top form and just had a great vibe! The rooms were no different great themes and decor not to mention how comfy the bed was! The little extra touches in the room like the record player and records made it stand out. Short walking distance to all local attractions. Jo and Gary were such great hosts and we won’t be staying anywhere else in Blackpool from now on. We can’t wait to visit the mercury again this year.

Lovely place and such nice people running it. So friendly and made us feel really welcome :) Great brekkie, the host very kindly sorted out some veggie options for my partner, even though we’d forgot to mention. They advised us on some really nice places to go they thought would suit what we liked and we had a great night because of that. Super cool music memorabilia everywhere which made the place really unique.

Enjoyed my 2 night stay at this clean and spotless hotel, both Gary & Jo couldn’t do enough for you, nicest hosts ever. I stayed in a single room which was so quiet and warm. The breakfast was lovely and plentiful, on second morning I asked for bacon toastie and it was not a problem for Jo. They also have a lovely friendly dog. I will be returning soon with my partner.

Great hotel, room was immaculate and nicely put together. The Bluetooth jukebox was a big hit with my partner and the make up mirror lights for me. Breakfast was great, we gave it a miss the second morning as we wanted to get on our way. We would have explored the records if we’d had more time, would have been more exciting than the football that prompted our stay! Gary was so very friendly and helpful with booking cabs, giving us some restaurants, pubs etc to try. We will be back next season for the football again and we might meet Jo 😊
