Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely hotel with friendly owners. The beds are very comfy. The owners had great local knowledge and could share lots of info with us. So much choice for our breakfasts, and they took the time to find out the children’s names and what they each would like. Free on street parking and being close to the tram stop was great too. Nice to be greeted each time we returned to the hotel with a smile and a chat.

Just returned from a lovely stay at The Penrhyn. Our party consisted of a family of four with two children, aged 6 and 7 and my parents. On arrival, we were greeted warmly with local information and recommendations shared with us which we found very helpful particularly some of the good value and family friendly places to eat. The rooms were clean and comfortable and they were some little touches like tissues and face wipes alongside hot drink making facilities which were great. The family room had bunk beds and a double bed which was perfect for us. The hotel is in a great location - quiet and safe- but only a few minutes walk to the tram stop at The Cliffs. We were able to walk in to the main strip or tram depending on how we felt. Easy to visit all the piers, Blackpool Tower, the amusements and the illuminations. We also took up the recommendation to visit Hole in Wand - a wizard themed indoor glow in the dark golf which my children loved! Thank you for a great stay - we really enjoyed our short break.
