Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Property's Favourite Review
I booked to stay in Blackpool and in The Wescoe Guesthouse with my children and my sister and her kids. As soon as we were greeted by Alton and saw our rooms, the children were extremely happy and said I made a good choice. Myself and my 3 teen children stayed in the superior room which is spacious enough for us all. We loved the decor, which is a shabby chic look with matching furniture. We got chocolates as gifts in our room which is a great touch. The room has an en suite, iron with board, kettle, fridge with water and milk supplied, dressing robes, hair dryer, port for our electric toothbrush and a large rocking chair which was much used. The TV has a fire stick if you want to Watch Netflix, I think we did once and used my phone as a remote (downloaded the app), sorry I forgot to tell Alton that the remote needs batteries. Alton was very welcoming, positive and genuinely a nice person. You can let Alton know if you need towels to be changed, more water, milk or loo rolls. The place and Alton made our holiday more special. We all looked forward to breakfast every morning which was delicious and is very reasonable. We spent the evenings after dinner playing card games and charades. This guesthouse has plenty of board games, great for children or families, they are situated by the front door. We stayed at Blackpool to use our Merlin passes for the Dungeons, Tussaud’s, sea life and the Tower. We also booked bowling and the escape room in the area. You definitely need to pick up the best fudge from “Sticky” on the sea front, we bought loads for gifts for people with gift boxes. The flavours are to die for. I would 100% recommend this accommodation if staying in the area. Well done to Alton and the team!

Fabulous little B&B, very clean warm and welcoming. Although Alton wasn’t there to great us he kept in constant contact until we were in and settled. (He had a well deserved night off) Breakfast was gorgeous, the little touches of honesty fridge in the entrance hall and board games are the perfect touch. I would highly recommend staying and if we ever stay in Blackpool again I will be staying with Alton.

Always a warm welcome at The Wescoe, nothing is too much trouble and very friendly. Breakfast is always delicious and always plenty of choice. Rooms are cosy and comfortable with beautiful vintage decor. In a ideal location for the pleasure beach and also a tram stop at the end of the road to take you to the where you need to be!! Excellent value for money 💰 Would definitely recommend especially for couples and families. Keep up the excellent work Alton and his amazing team!! Will definitely be back xx

Vintage style B&B. A great find. Everything you need in Blackpool. Nice and clean. Honesty fridge at the door is a nice touch on your way home from a nice out! Lovely tasty breakfast which was included because we booked direct with the host. Free parking if you’re there early enough.
