Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Yet again another fantastic visit. I added on a extra night for the same price as a low season break. The shock was a extra suprise birthday buffet for a elderly resident included in the price.
This time I stayed in room 2 the butterfly design room. A big double bed and bunk beds so it's suitable for a small family. The heat was on constantly and the room was always very warm.
Another extra suprise this break was the introduction of new vip loyalty scheme for regular guests who get a 10% discount for all breaks booked in 2020.all drinks and meals. I believe that you qualify for the extra loyalty scheme if you stay for at least 3 Short breaks over the coming year.
Every night included the legendary small buffets. If these are the smaller size I'd hate to see the bigger size ones.
Can't wait till I'm back at the hotel in February for half term. You get what you pay for and the rooms are cleaned immediately before guests arrive and as soon as they leave.
One of the best value for money hotels you will find in blackpool. Even the towels are included in the price so everything is catered for. Yet again I can hugely recommend this hotel. You have your own keys so you can come and go as you please.
I found this hotel about 5 years ago whilst looking for a hotel with smoking rooms and it's definitely one of the top small hotels in blackpool. Definitely a hidden gem

We had a wonderful comfy stay at Newlands Hotel. Me and my autistic son stayed for 5 nights. Bedroom very clean and comfortable. Heather and Phil were wonderful hosts. Great with my lad. Breakfast was perfect every morning and evening meals were tasty too. The bar was very cosy as a music room and a few of us stayed up drinking until all hours whilst my lad peacefully slept in the room above.
Hotel very close to Central pier and promenade. Look forward to coming back again. Thanks again. 😊 Kelly

Phil and Heather are very friendly hosts in a hotel full of character.

Quiet location, given it is so proximate to Blackpool's main attractions and beach.

In all, great value for money and would stay again and recommend.

I stayed in Blackpool with my wife and children all last week, this is the fourth time I have stayed there but each time I have stayed in a different guest house as I couldn't find one where everything felt right. Now I've found it! The Newlands Hotel (on bairstow street) is definately the best place I have stayed. The owners are great (nothing is too much trouble for them) and the place is really clean and tidy. There were even colouring books, pens, games and cuddly toys for the kids to play with. Fantastic, I'll be back. (I can't find them on your site though? Check out their web site ...Cheers,Paul.

We stayed at the Newlands Hotel for eight days and enjoyed every minute of it!!!!

Heather and Phil were very friendly from the day we got there until when we left. They were there to cater for you when necessary and always went out their way to please us.

I would definately recommend this hotel to anyone going to Blackpool as there is no place like it, you are really made to feel at home.

Food was lovely, the rooms immaculate and it was altogether a brilliant holiday.

Will definately be back soon!!!!

Cheers, Anna and Steven

Just returned from an excellent weekend at The Newlands Hotel.

Phil and Heather made us so welcome, they were great with our three kids and even put on some entertainment on Friday night. Phil strumming some great tunes on the guitar and singing - excellent.

The accommodation was beautiful and clean. Excellent decor, the adults and kids were impressed by the Lord of the Rings theme in the breakfast room and the music theme in the lounge.

We have already booked for next year we were so impressed.

In previous years we have stayed in some very unsavoury bed and breakfasts in Blackpool, so it's so nice to find somewhere that I would be very happy to recommend to anyone else.

Thanks a lot

Karen (Normanton, West Yorkshire)

Enjoyed every minute at this hotel! The reviews I have read on this site are spot on, the rooms are great, the food fantastic, the proprietors excellent and the music room is so relaxing you feel at home as soon as you walk in. I wish Heather and Phil every success as they more than deserve it (I even think they should put their prices up as the Newlands far exceeds anywhere that I've stayed before, both in Blackpool and esewhere). I will certainly give them a mention in my publication 'The Derwent Valley Treasure Trail' as I think anyone from our area should visit this hotel if they are venturing anywhere near Blackpool. 10 out of 10 to them.

Hi Irene, could you use our email for contact (google 'newlands hotel blackpool' for contact details as it will not let us put web or email on here). We have some vacancies in July, it depends on the dates you require. We are between £24 & £26 per night depending on whether it is mid-week or weekend (If there is just yourself, there may also be a small surcharge for single occupancy of a double room - around 20% if 2 nights, less if more nights), this includes breakfast & free wi-fi is available.
