The rooms are stylishly appointed, the full English breakfast contained quality ingredients and was cooked to perfection without being greasy and the location was ideal, but what sets the Raffles Hotel apart are the proprietors Tim and Janine.
They are friendly, welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. We were given excellent directions to all the local attractions & I mean local (without being too near) along with top recommendations for food, drink and entertainment.
They have worked very hard at building a classy boutique hotel with attention to detail.
The rooms include toiletries, slippers, bottled water on arrival and tea, coffee and hot chocolate which you can make in your room. But it doesn’t stop there. There was an excellent beside kit that even included eye masks and a sewing kit.
The beds are extremely comfortable and we didn’t need to make any adjustments to the heating, which was perfect. The real bonus for me was the pillows. Rarely do hotels get it right but they’ve nailed it. Put m eye mask on and slept like a baby.
Finally hygiene - The hotel was spotlessly clean and I’m fussy!
In summary, great hotel, great location, great food, great beds and pillows and great hosts.
I’m due to return to Blackpool next year. Where will I stay? No brainier!

My friend and I arrived on Friday afternoon last week and stayed until Monday morning. Looking for somewhere to stay in Blackpool is a little overwhelming to say the least but I do not think we could have found a better place if we tried! The hotel itself is cosy and clean and has such a friendly feel as soon as you walk in.
Janine and Tim were perfect hosts, friendly and chatty and so very helpful for anything that we needed, not that we needed a lot! Breakfast was fresh and plentiful with lots of choice - all sorts of teas, coffee, juice, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, pastries and lots of choices of hot cooked food too - and good quality products used - no cheap and nasty sausages here!
We stayed in Room 8 - a twin room on the first floor, it was small but perfectly kitted out and the little extras were so welcome. Lots of towels, slippers, hairdryer, plugs with USB charging, bathroom products and a stick of rock and some love hearts too. Lovely. And each day we came back to neatly made beds and the room smelling wonderful.
The location was exactly right for us, just away from the hubbub of the sea front but only a ten minute walk to the tower and shops and all that that area has to offer which is where we wanted to be most of the time.
We didn't use the bar area or restaurant for evening food but we did nose in and again it looked very comfortable and cosy. I am so glad we found this place as for any future visits researching hotels for hours on end is no longer required. Thank you Janine and Tim we had a fabulous weekend.

After a nightmare journey to get to Blackpool we were greeted by Janine who just wanted to get us checked into our rooms and de-stressed as quickly as possible. There was no pushiness to pay on arrival and just very laid back.
Our rooms 15 & 16 were right next to each other which was great as our young son was sharing the other room with his grandma so could come and go between the rooms easily. You could smell how clean the rooms were when we walked in and there were lovely little touches such as the slippers and stick of rock each. We were just a short walk from the main promenade and there were 2 pay and display car parks literally 2 minutes walk up the street too.
Breakfast each day was amazing, hands down the best eggs benedict I've ever had! They just can't do enough for you, checking you've got enough juice etc. Also making toast just how our little boy likes it. A huge selection on offer for breakfast too.
They found out it was my birthday and when we came back from a day out there was a birthday card and a box of Fudge waiting in the room for me that everyone had signed, it was a lovely gesture.
We enjoyed having a few cocktails in the bar too and it was a bonus that they had some games in there to play with our son. The staff would come and chat with us and tell us about what was on in Blackpool and gave us little tips on how to see the illuminations the best way.
All in all we just had a lovely little stay, the whole team were so friendly and go out of their way for you. We would all definitely recommend Raffles Hotel and will return next time we visit Blackpool!

Raffles Hotel has a grand name but it more than lived up to expectations (and exceeded them!) The hotel was really easy to contact as we kept changing our days. When we arrived they had put balloons, banners and a card in our room for our daughters 13th birthday. Such a lovely touch. The room was full of other lovely touches. It has everything you could possibly think of - toiletries, shower cap, eye mask, ear plugs and much much more. Plus Blackpool rock and sweets as well as a well stocked tea tray. Breakfast was amazing - pancakes, pastries, yoghurt, fruit, cooked breakfast etc. The location was amazing, just a few mins walk to the beach, tower, tussauds, sealife centre, winter gardens, shopping centre and much more. I would hugely recommend this hotel to everyone.

Excellent. Tim and Janine were attentive but not intrusive and very helpful - nothing was too much trouble. All the little details, toothbrush, slippers etc, made it that bit more special. Tasty breakfast. Family commitments prevented us from booking evening meals, so will try on our next visit.

Really comfy room. Friendly hosts. Clean throughout. Perfect location to get around Blackpool (kind of in between north & central pier) breakfast on all three occasions was outstanding and you got a few different options each morning. If you’re going to Blackpool, just stay here, you won’t at all go wrong.

Stayed for 5 nights at this lovely hotel where the Owners and Managers were A1 and very helpful right up to getting a toilet light switch fixed at 10pm by their worker who really wanted to leave it till the morning. My wife and I both enjoyed how they were always greeting us with a welcome smile and always seemed to find time to see how we were doing as we went with the mother in law and the twins and it was nice enough weather wise for us to venture out mainly shopping every day with the mother in law only able to walk small distances this was perfect location as was not too far from the town centre or the beach front. We all enjoyed the stay so much that we plan to return in the spring or summer. Fabulous breakfast and fabulous stay...

We had a great stay at Raffles Hotel. We had a warm welcome by the friendly couple who run the place. There is a lovely little bar serving a good variety of drinks and there is a great atmosphere in there. There is a dining room that served our breakfast which was of excellent quality and cooked fresh every day. Our room was small but beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. It was spotlessly clean. The shower was powerful and hot. There was a folder with information about the family, facilities and local area. They also provided slippers and & gave us a stick of rock. The hotel is situated within a walk of all of the main attractions and we would most certainly stay here again if we visit Blackpool. They could not do more to try and make our stay comfortable offering local knowledge about the area and booking taxis etc. Thank you very much for making us so welcome during our stay. We hope to be back!

I stayed at the Raffles Hotel to attend the UK West Coast Folk Festival as it was about a 5-10 minute walk to the Winter Gardens. I really cannot praise it enough, the room was good (and warm!), the breakfast was fantastic and there is an option to eat dinner there in the evening where the food was again excellent. The welcome we received at the hotel was top class. There is also a very reasonable bar there as well. I cannot praise this hotel enough and will book again for next year.

We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. The room was lovely with lots of extras, and the single beds were very comfortable. The toiletries provided were very comprehensive, even included a small toothbrush and mini tube of toothpaste, and the walk in shower was luxurious. Last but by no means least, the breakfast each morning was excellent.
