Blackpool is full of guesthouses but we choose this one after seeing how much the owner and daughter cared about their customers on 4 In a Bed. Its obvious that this is a budget hotel from the outside but inside its a home from home. Some of the decor and bedding could benefit from being colour coded but all wad clean, fresh and if we had any issues I felt they wouldve been addressesed quickly and in a friendly way. Traditional seaside break at a great price to see the illuminations. Looking forward to seeing the improvements the owner has planned - Would love to see the outside painted a light fresh colour next time we visit.

I stayed here for 2 nights. The owners were polite, helpful and welcoming. The location was very central with attractions and restaurants/cafes in walking distance. The room was small but still a good size with a comfortable bed. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend it.

It's cheap and cheerful, stayed here for one night last weekend in a room for 6. It was nothing to write home about but I will say this Daz is a nice chap and from I've heard he does a mean mash n mince. We only met his lovely wife at night and she knew there was 5 of us but when only 2 of us came back she was good enough to stay up and wait for the rest of our party so they could get in.

Tina, Darren and family are so great they try and help you in any way they can. We had an en suite room but our friends didn't and it does not matter you felt just as special using either to be honest. They were always making sure the shared bathrooms are clean and I asked the cleaner and she just comes in to check them when Tina isn't available because she is a lovely lady and you wouldn't believe what she does for the area even though she is disabled herself, which I didn't even realise she was disabled as she hides it very well.

Defo recommended anyone to stay in any of her rooms she even made sure we were OK when we came home late at night.

So we booked this guesthouse and didn’t read the reviews until the day before and absolutely panicked, the majority of reviews are stating it’s awful not clean and rude management. I don’t know what they did to annoy them but they are absolutely wrong!
When we got there the lady owner welcomed me, my partner and 4 young children, she explained where our room was, what key was what and told us if we need anything to just come ask. Her beautifully polite son brought us our change when we got to our room. The room was clean, comfy and more than you can expect for the price. When we returned later on with kids covered in sand the lady owner was lovely, telling us where another stronger shower was and interacting with the kids. Back out we went and returned at around 11pm, the ladies daughter came out to speak to us and the kids seeing if they’d had a good day then took them to the reception to show them marvel and Disney pictures much to their delight she gave them some!
The fire alarm malfunctioned at around 4am which was sorted quickly and the male owner apologised profusely when checking out.
Couldn’t of asked for nicer owners tbh. We will definitely stay here again.

We stayed here last weekend overnight and were really impressed. The owner met us promptly at the door and gave us a really warm welcome. She was lovely and very cheerful and explained the Covid regulations. Our rooms were all immaculate and spotless throughout. They had everything we could possibly need. We were grateful for the heater in the room as it was a bit chilly, being October, and the windows are single-glazed due to the age of the building. The place is perfectly located near to the Central Pier. We came back from seeing the illuminations in the late evening to a lovely warm room. I was a bit wary about the shared bathrooms, but they were also spotless. We would highly recommend this place. You do get what you pay for, and we couldn't find fault with anything whatsoever. We would definitely recommend The Foxhall Village Guest House and will definitely come back again.

Everything adequate for the price. But then within a few hours of leaving, my card had been charged £80 by the hotel & I received an email saying a bed was damaged in my room. No pictures or details provided before the money had gone.
There was no damage to anything in the room.
The ‘proof’ of damage followed, an undated, untimed picture in an unspecified room where there was clearly maintenance going on. Foxhall unhelpful on communication, told to go through Booking.com which I have been doing for the past 11 weeks, which is a laborious process.. Now have written confirmation from Booking.com that any damages were not because of my stay.
I had to get a refund via my bank. They also advised Foxhall had set up the charge as recurring which was very unusual, so effectively could process transactions at will. Had to cancel my card immediately, on banks advice. Foxhall probably think at an amount like £80 & sending people through the painstaking Booking.com customer services that people won’t challenge it, but I couldn’t be ripped off like that because I had caused no damage.
All very dodgy. Better off just going elsewhere to save all the hassle.

When you break a bed base on a new bed (which was proven) then you are charged, a message and email was sent to this customer on the day of check out and the funds were taken the following morning. Booking.com agreed with us and after his 11 weeks he got his money back from the card company and not booking.com, this was only the second time since we opened in 2013 that we have had to charge for broken furniture and the other was a cabinet. The pictures from inside the bed was taken out of the bed room as the maintenance company had to take the bottom of the base off to take the pictures from underneath for everyone and this is the picture he is talking about, but there were also pictures submitted with the bed in place in the room. We only have one small single in the whole of the building and it was purchased on the Wednesday and they stayed on the Friday (the first to ever sleep in the bed), on Saturday morning when we came to take the bedding off the bed for the next customers who were due that day the base was broken and we had to find another accommodation for the people coming in on the Saturday at our expense a new bed base cost us £80 there was an extra funds to the guest house who could fit the next customers which we payed also for the maintenance company to see if they could repair to make it cheaper and to take the pictures from underneath all the material as requested which our guest house paid as well. In the end we had a bill for £115 in total and only charged the customer £80 for the new base, which he then claimed back from the bank and left us out of pocket and after he got the £80 back then tried to claim another £30 from booking.com and he calls us dodgy. He has been blocked from using booking with booking.com and ourselves ever again.

Disappointing. Good location near Central Pier but about the only good point I can mention. Beds hadn't been changed, one was covered in sand, sheets had hairs on them, new sheets given to us were as bad and were stained. No toilet roll. So bad we left and didn't stay. Only a partial refund was given citing due to fees. Not good enough when management acknowledged why we were leaving and accepted responsibility.

This is a decent little place. I have stayed here twice previously when passing through. The mum and daughter team are both hard working people, who try hard to make guests happy and deliver a nice stay. Clearly the place needs a few quid spending on it, but value for money you can't argue, and the breakfast did the job too.

Nice people running the b&b make the place better. Good job!

Any property that has been found by our staff are always returned I've even posted them and dropped them off before myself. We have never had any brackets lost since I opened our first guest house only ear rings and necklaces. Sorry if you friend has lost them but it wasn't within our property if you contact the police they can come and see and do a full investigationwith pleasure
