Had a great 2 night stay! Kevin and Mark are great hosts! Room was very clean and comfortable, as was the whole hotel! A great breakfast on both days! In the midst of where in wanted to be local to all the bars and clubs. And a short stroll to the sea! Will definitely be back!

My partner and I were able to return to this fantastic hotel after not being able to visit for some time due to work commitments and the dreaded pandemic where the world shut down 🙄 We always received a warm welcome on previous visits and this visit was no exception, Kevin & Mark are 2 of the nicest people you could meet, the hotel has 20 bedrooms and they run this establishment efficiently and keep it immaculate, they work hard to ensure everything is as it should be and this is why we would not stay anywhere else when we visit Blackpool. We stayed in the Frank Sinatra room, it is well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay, there is a mini bar in room and this is well stocked and the prices for items are the best we have ever experienced, they do not rip people off ! The bed was very comfortable as were the pillows, the room was immaculate and there was absolutely no question of cleanliness, they take pride in there hotel and this is reflected in the standards of the public areas . Evening meals are available when the bar is open, they offer a great selection and once again prices are good, we ate in a couple of evenings , food offerings were good quality and reflected on the quality of the breakfasts that were also excellent and set us up for the day until we were hungry later on. Thank you both for making us welcome as you always do , we really appreciate it and we will most definitely be returning . Ian & Paul 🙂x

Let’s be honest, Blackpool isn’t what it used to be. I hadn’t been for nearly 20 years and was shocked by the decline in some places. Chaps, however is a fantastic little Hotel doing its bit to keep Blackpool worthwhile to visit. I stayed in the Sinatra room. It was a lovely room. The biggest plus point for me was that it was immaculate. No dust or grime. Lovely clean bedding. Spotless bathroom. We were there on a quiet Monday & Tuesday so the bar was closed which was a little disappointing but not enough to not give 5 stars. Great breakfast and the owners were very accommodating to individual requirements. My companion stayed in the Judy Garland room. It had a Saniflo loo so don’t stay there if you eat a lot of cheese 😆 My only gripe is that there was only one opening window for quite a big room so it was a bit stuffy. If two windows opened in the bay window there’d at least have been a bit more air movement but I’m a bit of a fresh-air freak so it might not bother others so much. Great location for bars and clubs. Would I book again? Absolutely! Please note that my photos were taken when I was leaving. The bedding and curtains were tidier when I arrived.

STAFF: Kevin booked us in and explained the where everything was, Bar, Dining room, Ironing board etc before handing us over to Mark who welcomed us before showing us to our room. Both of the guys were very friendly and made us feel really welcome. CLENLINESS: From the outside to all of the interior it was spotless. The room was cleaner than some 4 – 5* hotels we have stayed in over the years. In the dining room are was noticed Mark constantly cleaning any spillages immediately which is probably why they have a 5 * food hygiene rating. Rooms get cleaned on alternative days unless requested otherwise. FACILITIES: The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the promenade. There is an outside seated area where you can sit and watch the world go by. A bar / lounge which is staffed until 10pm, dinging room and ironing board. It is manned until 10pm then guests use a key to gain access after that. Breakfast is included in the price. Not sure how Mark managed to cook full English breakfasts so perfectly for around 12 guests with Kevin working non stop ensuring all guests were served meals and drinks promptly. ROOM: We had the Mama Mia room which was a triple. (1 double & 1 single bed) and was on suit. Plenty of storage space and a wardrobe which had a couple of dozen hangers. There was a small shower toilet area. Tea / coffee facilities and TV The bed was made of Oak and was a little bit squeaky when moving on it also the room next door had a squeaky door which needs oiling. Both of these are easily fixed and not an issue. AREA: Handy for all the local bars. Most within 5 minute walk. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. OVERALL: Due to the location, cleanliness and friendliness of both Mark and Kevin we would definitely stay here again. Could not fault the place.

A great little B&B out of the way of the noise of central Blackpool. Run by a couple of friendly guys who will offer advice on bars, restaurants etc. I’ve stayed in a few hotels in Blackpool over the years and this one is by far my favourite…..I stayed in an ensuite double (very reasonably priced) Spotlessly clean, really comfortable double bed…a well made full English breakfast in the morning. I have only one minor annoyance and that was that my two bedroom windows looked directly onto an enclosed space and brick walls……I know not everyone can have a sea view etc but I did find that it made the room a bit claustrophobic…..

What can I say about this Hotel, Well..... 1. The hosts were lovely, Kevin was the one we saw the most, he was warm and welcoming, even allowing us the use of his umbrella when the rain came. 2. The rooms are themed - we had Joan Collins, the room was lovely and clean, even had room for a table and chairs if you wanted to eat dinner in your room. 3. The bed was comfortable even had a lovely weighted feel blanket. 4. The bathroom consisted of a toilet sink and shower. Although there was Soap bar provided, you would need to provide your own shampoo and shower gel. This is not an issue, as I, like most would prefer their own fragrances. 5. Our room faced the back wall, which for me was perfect as it was quiet, you never heard any traffic. 6. We never used the Bar area but did have a sneaky look in, there is a big Television in there, a nice cosy bar area and plenty of space for a seat. 7. Breakfast was lovely, there is a selection of cereals, and the option of cooked breakfast. It was all cooked perfectly. the perfect runny egg every day! 8. The location! 5 minute walk from the railway station. and similar from the hotel to North Pier. but you are a 2 minute walk to the beach itself. On the whole, the experience was lovely, the room was great, made really special by the hosts. Nothing was too much for them. Would I stay again??.... without a doubt! I would thoroughly recommend.

This is first time stayed at this hotel and would stay again. The Hotel was clean and well furnished. The rooms are themed and we stayed in the Joan Collins room (No 16). The bed was comfortable and pillows were comfortable. Tea and Coffee were provided and plenty of it. The room was clean and ready for when we arrived at 1500. The Hotel was full occupied for the weekend but it was nice and quiet and sleeping was great. Kevin and Mark, the hosts couldn't do enough for you and were very helpful, even lending us an umbrella, for the Wonderful Blackpool weather. Breakfast was very nice indeed and full English offered every day if you wanted It, but would adapt to whatever you wanted. Cereals and Toast are also available with your breakfast. It is a very safe venue so no worries there and only a 10 minute walk to the centre, as its near the North Pier, and only a short walk to Funny Girls. Would we stay here again, yes we would without a seconds thought. Thank you, Kevin and Mark, for being such great hosts.
