Hotel's Favourite
Me and my family came for my partners 30th birthday and from the start we can not fault the hotel. Helping us with our bags and even offering us food even tho it was late. The entertainment was brilliant every evening which started off with a game of bingo. All the singers were amazing and they really made my partners 30th special. The hotel had decorated the room on arrival and I had ordered a cake in which they brought out in the entertainment. They even took the trouble to go and get him a badge and balloon. I would like special recognition to the Phil who managed the whole team well. He was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble Phil deffinetly needs recognising and told how well he works for the hotel. The food was lovely with different options every night they even made me a pizza as I did not want anything on the menu. Really couldn't fault anything at this hotel really good location.

Had a nice stay for the Usdaw Union Annual Conference. But found the hotel very expensive to stay where other Union delegates got different rates. The union only gives the members a certain amount for a day and ended out of pocket. It's a lovely hotel but I will be unable to stay there in 2023.

I regularly work from home and decided on a change of walls so thought where better than the Ruskin. My 3rd visit this year and I wasn’t disappointed. Was it awkward travelling solo for the first time? You bet it was lol. Was it awkward at the hotel? Was it heck!! The staff made sure of that. It’s the team at the Ruskin that make it so special. Every one of them has a smile and a word for you. All are very special cogs that keep the Ruskin engine going. As always the food was great the entertainment fantastic and this time I had a small win on the bingo :) plus my room was gorgeous. The management team are striving invest time money and effort to improve the surroundings and facilities all the time and thorough deserve to be fully booked all year round. Keep it up guys. See you again soon

Just returned from a fabulous break at Ruskin Hotel. We have been coming here now for approximately 20 years, usually for the New Year celebrations but decided to give the themed breaks a try. We came for the comedy break in Feb which was fantastic and this time, the cabaret break. All the artistes were amazing. We especially liked Cat Diva. What a voice. The hotel must be one of the best in Blackpool with staff that are friendly and efficient. Rooms are spotless and the food is lovely. The Ruskin is very well situated. A stones throw from the sea front and right next to all the shops. We are booked up for our usual New Year stay which is very popular so booking early is recommended as guests that stay each year usually book up for the following year as they are leaving. Cant wait to get there again. Can't praise it enough. Pat Reilly. York.

First time stay at The Ruskin. Room ok although not as big as most of the photos on the website so a little more transparency required. Disappointed that a £1 hold on my debit card was taken upon arrival after already paying in full and being a mature female solo traveller. This wasn’t explained to myself personally but I’d overheard the Receptionist explaining the reason for this to a group of young ladies checking in. Breakfast was excellent and the location great for The Winter Gardens, Tower and shopping area. I wouldn’t stay again but that’s as I would prefer an apartment for value and comfort for a four night stay.

Hello Angela, thank you for taking the time to send us your review, we really do appreciate it. We take a pre-authorisation of all bookings so that we have a chip and pin entry to confirm that the payment made with the card is a lawful one and there is no card fraud being committed, this should have been explained to you at check in and for that we are sorry. Our website, and those of our Online Travel Agents, have a selection on rooms on them, if we were to load all rooms then it would make the sites very slow with so much content. Even though you wouldn't choose to stay with us again, we do hope that continue to visit Blackpool and maybe stay at one of our brand new apartments opening in a couple of months just around the corner.
