Property's Favourite Review
After a rather traumatic start to our summer holidays due to a motorhome breakdown, the lovely Paul & Richard came to the rescue when I called to check availability on the day of our arrival. Luckily, the 2 rooms that we needed were available for the duration of our stay and we headed to Blackpool feeling so grateful that we would get a summer break after all!! We have stayed at the Corona once before and you’ll see from my previous review that I wouldn’t now stay anywhere else in Blackpool- this visit totally confirmed this, as once again we received the most warm welcome and were impressed yet again by the spotless surroundings. Our 2 rooms were next to each other which was much appreciated as we were travelling with 2 12 year old boys and I must say that both Paul & Richard and the waiting staff were so patient with our well behaved, but boisterous, boys. It’s the little touches that set the Corona apart from the rest : fluffy towels, quality toiletries, the comfiest beds after trekking round Blackpool all day, the complimentary tea/coffee in the reception area and the on site parking which we were lucky enough to secure. Keep in mind, though, if the small car park was full, there is plenty on street parking adjacent to the hotel so this would not be a problem. As I’ve previously mentioned, the breakfast is the best, freshest and most high quality breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel, and due to previous work I have stayed in some of the best hotels around the globe. The young girls and the boy who serve the breakfast are just delightful and so obliging and it’s clear that they enjoy working for Paul & Richard. There is a reasonably priced (actually cheap by Blackpool standards) bar in the hotel and we loved having our pre dinner drinks and night cap here, chatting to Paul & Richard and other guests - the majority of whom have been staying at the Corona for years : this tells you something of how much people love this hotel! We are so very grateful that we were able to book at such very short notice and we’d like to thank Paul and Richard for another wonderful time - we can’t wait to return and wish you a continued busy season. Robbie, Drew & Family, Argyll

Well, I really don't know where to start. Your review blew us away. Thank you so much for giving potential guests all the information you did. As you know, we have been here for 21 years now and still love what we do and gve all our efforts and pride to our work every day. We are proud of our young staff and train them to our high standards, they are an absolute credit to us and the hotel. We do have a very regular returning clientele who support us year after year. We are chuffed that you chose to return after the bad start to your original plans and of course, booking by phone, you secured the best rates that we can. Never book on booking sites as the prices are always higher. WHY? because we have to pay them commision but when you book on our official booking site, powered by eviivo, our booking diary, that is ours, so we put the best hidden rates on there for guests. Always a treat to see you when you stay and we hope you can squeeze in another break before the end of the year. Paul, Richard and all the team.

The Corona Hotel truly is the jewel in Blackpools crown. I have just returned from a wonderful Tinsel and Turkey weekend with my cousin. We had an amazing stay in this spotlessly clean amazing hotel owned by the extremely hard working Paul and Richard. Every detail of the weekend was spot on from fabulous food rooms public areas to the Entertainment on both nights. Exceptional value for money and we were truly spoilt. The staff were totally committed to ensuring that the full Hotel had a wonderful time. Thank you so much for an amazing weekend l truly cannot recommend the Corona enough

Lovely rooms! We booked two as we were travelling with our two teens and our dog. Tastefully decorated, en suite with extra touches like Elemis products and cotton buds, lots of tea and coffee provided, massive TV! Beds were really comfy. Hotel is spacious, nice conservatory with pool table and lovely well stocked bar area. Breakfast was fabulous! (Offered when you book direct)Alongside the usual continental items a cooked to order hot breakfast and rack of toast provided with plentiful supply of hot and cold drinks. Close to Pleasure Beach, plenty of free parking on site and off. Rooms were serviced daily, Richard & Paul went over and above to make our stay excellent, recommending places to eat, attractions, parks for our dog, so many little extras given that made this stay so good! We will definitely return and be recommending this hotel to all our family and friends. Thank you for having us x

Just home after our latest stay with Corona Hotel. Friendly, comfortable and we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Every box ticked for a fantastic stay in Blackpool. Close to the Pleasure Beach with various activities along the Seafront up to the North end and the Tower. Situated in the quieter end of Blackpool for a relaxing evening. I cannot speak more highly of the hotel and owners. Highly recommended

Superb place to stay, friendly staff and spotlessly clean. Met with a smile and the room was lovely. The tram service is very close to the hotel and is great for getting up and down the front. The breakfast was lovely with some little extra touches( scissors to cut sauce sachets). Would stay there again away from the mayhem of the front hotels it was quiet. 5*

Many thanks to all at The Corona for such a lovely stay. This was our 2nd visit and again we wasn't disappointed. After making an enquiry of availability via email, I went ahead and booked our stay (easy and straightforward). On arrival we were warmly greeted and checked in. Out room was lovely and the tea, coffee and water in the fridge was greatly received. A thank you also for allowing us to leave my wife's wheelchair in the reception area, this saved me loading back into the car all the time. Breakfast in the morning was lovely and compliments to the chef and his staff. The service was superb and there was a great selection for all. Paul and Richard were always available and there recommendations on local places helped us make our decisions easier. We would highly recommend staying here and we look forward to staying again in the future

The Corona Hotel is a bijou place with very high standards. Richard and Paul run this place perfectly. The breakfast is great with lots of choices. My son & niece loved the pool table area where we sat every night and had drinks from the bar. If there was a problem, it would be rectified immediately. The rooms itself has everything you could want or need, tea caddy, shower room, desk, drawers and a rail to hang up clothes - more than enough, always a clean room with biscuits, tea, coffee & milk. We visited during the air show- so we was very glad our Corona was off the busy parts of Blackpool.

Response from PAUL OWNER, Owner at The Corona
Responded 3 Sept 2023
Thanks for the review, you covered all the points there for potential guests to make their own choice if we are the right hotel to stay at. We have an excellent location, just off the prom, semi residential, so no noise from bars or clubs. Our local high street, Highfield road has a great choice of restaurants, bars, etc so you will be spoilt for choice. Our housekeeping staff work hard to ensure our rooms are spotless, if anything is not right, we encourage guests to bring this to our attention at the earliest convenience. Our rooms are not big as you know, but they are practical, clean, with quality products in the shower rooms. Elemis spa toiletries are wonderful and a great British well known brand, our guests give us great feedback. We look forward to welcoming you back. Don't forget our on line January sale for stays from March to July every year, you can save upto 30% when you book in January. Through September & October, you can book 3 nights and pay for 2 midweek, take a look on our official website that you can link to at the front page beside our phone number. Paul & Richard
