Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked last minute to celebrate my birthday with my children.

Hotel perfectly situated to visit sandcastles (waterpark) and pleasure beach, as it us only around the corner.

Staff were so helpful, allowed us to leave our bags on the last day, so we could spend it at pleasure beach - then picked them up on our way home.

Hotel rooms are modern, spacious and very clean. We had a room which slept 4, with a double bedroom, bunk beds in a separate room and lovely bathroom.

Breakfast, there were cereals and juices, then we were served a full english with tea or coffee.

There was a bar with pool table (didnt use this as we were too busy, but it looked lovely).

Would definitely come back again and highly recommended.

My wife & me were attending the Lytham Music Festival (July 22), I'd booked a cheap b&b because we only wanted a bed to crash for after the gig. However as Phillip Schofield says - buy cheap buy twice! They cancelled me at two days notice because of building work (allegedly).

I had to rebook and managed to get a twin at The Alderley. Very reasonable price, I'd even spoken to 'Alton' the day before who sorted me with a free parking space round the back. Which for 24 hours was a proper bonus.

The room was very clean, not high spec but we didn't pay for or need that. All prepped well with towels & toiletries. We had a lovely sea view and because it was at the south end past the Pleasure Beach, it was lovely and quiet. There was a bar too open during the afternoon to start us off!

We added breakfast for a measly £6.00. It was fab, plenty of choice and a large 'Full Cooked Breakfast'.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Much appreciated.

We stopped as two couples. The host really made our weekend! He really was lovely and made out experience. Nothing was too much for him.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing, Cooked well and filled us up both mornings.
The pool table and bar prices were great and we ended up coming back to drink at the hotel on Saturday night instead of hitting town as the atmosphere was great.
The cocktails, wow! They were brilliant, definitely worth a try. The room was clean and had a brilliant view of the sea.
I can’t wait to book again.

Just arrived back after one night stay.
The host was nice, allowed us to check in early.
Showed us a parking space round the back of the hotel.
My dad was given a double sea view room on the 1st floor. He struggles with his mobility issues, so he was moved to floor 1. There was a shutter over the small bathroom door rather than a proper door.
We were given the option of a double or a twin for me & my daughter, we opted for the double, en-suite with tv. Tea & coffee facilities
Basic room , stains in the wardrobe, a wooden board on the wall, I think to cover damp. The bathroom was decorated nicely, but they need a bathmat, to stop slips.
The stairs are very steep, so if anyone has issues with stairs, don’t opt for a room up stairs.
A lot of noise from other guests, after a family had been separated round the hotel.
A young family were placed next door to my elderly dad or vice, verser, but it didn’t make sense
We used the bar after coming in, the owner was very nice. The drinks weren’t expensive.
The breakfast was ok, served quickly. The dinning room needs a deep clean, dead flies on the window sills near the tables at breakfast.
The location was good, near the pleasure beach, not far from the south pier, across the road from the tram stop. £6 for a all day ticket.

This place is absolutely horrific we are extremely well traveled & this is by far the worse place I have ever checked into so much so that we checked right back out!
The car park at the back is very rough & I doubt if your car would be there the following morning! The entrance stinks all fusty & is mouldy & very uninviting. The room was just simply awful there was plywood stuck on the wall trying to cover the thick mould, the bathroom was so dirty, the bedspread was full of stains, it stank, loose wires everywhere, a hole in the wall ( like a fist hole) paint flaking, ceiling bowing, fire escapes blocked by mattress! I could go on! I’d suggest you avoid this place at all costs as it’s nothing as described it is complete false advertisement & trying to get your money back from booking.com is hard work as the hotelier doesn’t respond!! Even when we raised our issues with the hotelier he didn’t do anything not even to offer a room swap so I’m guessing they are all on par! Most good reviews for this hell hole have only given one or two other reviews which makes me question them? Avoid avoid avoid!! We will be taking this further if I could of given a zero rating I would!!

Absolutely fabulous from the moment me and the good lady arrived for a 4 day break.
The staff were superb and nothing was to much of a problem.
The room was clean comfy and warm.
Breakfast was on a different level to any hotel we have been in over the last number of years and to say it was lovely would be an understatement.
We also had an evening meal In the hotel twice and both times it was well priced and very tasty, thanks you Kaz.
We will be back soon.

We were booked in for a one night stay. on arrival there was no parking like advertised... were told to park down some dark ally way were there was no coverage of cctv on my car .. managed to park outside after a while ... went into the hotel and was instantly greeted by the smell of smoke considering it's a non smoking hotel. Owner showed us up to our room where the staircases were extremely narrow and dark and a major fire hazard really unsafe
Got to our room and it got even worse the smell of smoke was abosultly vile the room was covered in damp and mould
The tv was tiny
There were holes in the carpet
The bedding hadn't been washed was covered in stains
The plug sockets are cracked and highly dangours
The window wouldn't shut and room was freezing on arrival and you could hear everything going on outside .
Cups and spoons in room were dirty
The wallpaper above the bed was covered in damp and mould
There was cobwebs and dust everywhere
Beds were extremely hard and stank of smoke
The door to the room had look like it had been kicked in and didn't feel very safe or secure
Kettle was dirty

THE BATHROOM
the mirror was vile like someone had spat all over it and ran fingers through it
There was rubbish in the bin
Hair in the shower and I'm not talking a little amount
The silicone round the shower was none existent and left a very sharp edge to the shower
The shampoo was half full and used

Needless to say we left straight away the guy I told about this wasn't at all bothered and there was no offer of a refund just a discount on our next stay 🤣 after me telling him I wouldn't put my dog in this place.

Avoid at all cost !
Ideal hotel if you have no sence of smell and live like a tramp!

We had drove 3 hours to get here and I was over the moon to be driving 3 hours back home !

AVOID !
