We stayed here for the illuminations 2012 with our 2 kids (5&7yrs) Far enough away from the main strip to be quiet but literally 5 mins walk to the front. Lovely clean room. Friendly welcome, biscuits, sweets and fruit for the kids. Nice cooked breakfasts. Family atmosphere. Wud stay again.

Very friendly and helpful owners, very clean, nice to have stuff like water and fruit in the room. Good location away from noise, and all for a very good price. Chose this place based on the good reviews and was not disappointed. Recommended!

Our main criteria for a two night weekend break in Blackpool was the cleanliness of the accommodation having stayed in some (and I don't use this word lightly) disgusting hell holes in the town of which, unfortunately, there is no shortage. I can concur with the other reviews on here that this place is very clean and a credit to... More

Myself, my husband and our 2 boys, stayed at the Lantern Hotel for 2 nights from Friday 3rd August. Upon arrival we were greated by the lovely owners, who cannot do enough for you. We had a SAVED & SECURE parking space and our bags were taken up to our room. The entrance of the Hotel has beautifull flowers that smell... More

We stayed at the Lantern for the 2nd time and just like our 1st visit, it was top class. They have spent more money on bringing more of the rooms up to the modern standard of all the rest. The Hotel is so clean throughout, I would eat the wonderful breakfast off the floor if required. The service they provide... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
As seen on Coronation Street - Aired in 2003. A frequent 'home' for many local singers, dancers and performers!! Situated in a central position about 150 yards from the prom, 10 mins from tower and pleasure beach. An extremely clean, family run hotel offering Bed and Breakfast facilities, or simply the room. Included in the room is free bottled water, towels, a Colour TV (some with free view), tea, coffee, sweets and biscuits. A baby cot is available on request. The hotel also has a fully licensed bar and outside sitting area. We are a small friendly hotel, with limited secure parking, free on street parking and a car park opposite the Hotel. We are less than 15 minutes away from many attractions, including theatres, clubs, cinema, central pier, Blackpool Tower, Winter Gardens etc. With all of these attractions on our doorstep, this does not compromise you having a peaceful night’s sleep as we cater for families, couples and small groups only, and are located just far enough away from the late night clubs not to disturb you. Our dining room comfortably seats up to 26 people, and we are proud of our traditional, full English breakfast which satisfies our guests and sets them up for Blackpool's multitude of attractions and activities. Full English Breakfast (Sausages, Bacon, Egg, Hashbrowns, Tomato, Beans).....or Vegetarian option (Egg, Hashbrowns, Tomato, Beans) with no charge for extra Toast, Tea/Coffee or Juice, Cereals (self serve). Finally free Cake and Fruit are also available on a self serve basis. ... more   less
