Thanks again to the wonderful owners and staff at the Langwood for a fabulous and fun long weekend. The quality never fails and the efforts they have made to ensure social distancing and a hygienic and safe environment are second to none. We felt safe but able to relax and enjoy ourselves. The food is amazing, well prepared fresh every day and very well presented. Even though live entertainment is not currently allowed we still had great fun. It’s like a home from home and we always leave feeling like part of a big family! Thank you Srini and the whole team. We’ll be back!

I have been several times to The Langwood Hotel and have never been disappointed with any of the facilities, the staff are brilliant and there is nothing they wouldn't do to make your stay happy. Trips to Fleetwood, Clevelys, St Annes/ Blackpool are included in the cost which I think is absolutely fantastic with door to door service if required. Smiley and his family and staff are 100% brilliant. Totally recommend staying here an I will be doing again this year

We returned to this wonderful family run hotel after many previous visits and yet again the amazing team there have given us a fantastic experience. Smiley and the staff take so much care to look after every single guest as if they were family and nothing is too much trouble. The bedrooms are clean and well serviced, the location is conveniently located close to tram and bus stops and it’s easy to get into central Blackpool. The hotel faces the sea and has some lovely walks along the seaside just across the road. The food choice and quality are wonderful with mostly traditional home cooked food but with some lovely contemporary additions. Breakfast is fabulous with so much choice of the usual breakfast options. The entertainment means never having to worry about finding somewhere to spend the evening and there is a well stocked bar. We usually go as a couple but this time we took our grandchildren and they absolutely loved the traditional seaside break and have already said they want to go back.

I stayed here for the second time in December 2019 and the was made to feel very welcome by the owners and staff, a few of which remembered me from my stay the previous year. Clean comfortable rooms (that are on the compact side), good location where I have always managed to get parked on the street (albeit my stays were not in high season) and no complaints about the breakfast. Any time I go to Blackpool I check the prices and availability here before looking elsewhere.

I am writing this review on behalf of my 76 year old mother who has just returned from a weekend at the Langwood. The hotel mainly caters for older people and this was my mothers fifth trip to the hotel this year. She has been numerous times in previous years and has enjoyed her stay. She arrived on Friday and in the evening went downstairs, as she usually would to play bingo and cards with the other guests. A member of staff took a drinks order from her at the table, she ordered a soda water. When he brought it over she was told it was £2.50, as she's usually charged £2 she asked had it gone up, he replied it had and she thought no more of it.
The next morning my mother was waiting with the other guests to go on a day out, the owner berated her in front of everyone as to how he wouldn't tolerate her upsetting his staff and how he has to pay three people, and he has a lot of overheads. She was totally humiliated and didn't come down with her friend on the Saturday and Sunday evenings. She told him that if he had anything to say he should have spoken to her privately, although she didn't understand what she had done wrong. He didn't respond.
She has told me that she won't ever go again. I would be interested as to why the owner thought it was appropriate to verbally attack a guest just for querying the cost of a drink.

Dear parkermichelle21 The main story was your mum (Carol ) wasn’t happy with our drink price and asking the staff free drink as a part of package of holiday which all other hotel provide as per her thought and why not yours hotel giving a free ? she asked than my staff reply speak to the Smiley so my staff told me next day morning about this I just ask her friend(Brenda ) your mum just reply i told him about this not my friend she reply than i was just queries what has happened ? then she said you should ask me privately i was even not say anything further !all i was asked how come people think give a free drink like I talk normally everyone than she said you should not talk like that to me than upset ! i am sorry for making her upset but as a running a business so many years not a easy !about drink we charged £2.50 for 400ml soft drink if she thinking it’s too much I can’t help it out everything is gone up price ! After coming so many times she should know that she can confront me rather than my new staff! share this information to driver and other guest!!! I just spoken with your mum and apologies that's all I can do! Anyway no problem you rate us low at here as a Human they always remember 1 mistake and forget 99% of good things thank you so much for your time!!

From the cleaners through to the management nothing seems to be too much trouble.

This little gem just keeps on giving. We have been back time and time again and are never disappointed. This was a visit with our extended family including grandparents, parents and kids and we all just LOVED it. The food is great with amazing home cooked meals with choices each day. Always served piping hot by friendly staff who simply cannot do enough to make sure you’re happy and comfortable. The entertainment is wonderful, again with a variety of different acts each evening and of course the ‘fun’ stuff with a couple of games of bingo included to help keep the traditional experience going. We cannot thank Smiley enough who, along with his family and his lovely team of staff never stop working hard looking after everyone. Our grandkids loved it and stayed off their gadgets to take part in the fun and were never bored.

Our granddaughter celebrated a birthday while we were there and she was treated like a princess and was made to feel very special.

The hotel is well located for trams and buses into Blackpool and is great for having long walks Along the sea front. We can’t wait to be back. I’ve said it before in a previous review, you arrive as a guest and leave like family with a big smile looking forward to the next time.

A wonderful holiday at a beautiful hotel run by a beautiful family. Smiley & Manika, the owners & all their staff are extremely friendly, welcoming & helpful. Every meal was very good, served piping hot by the owners & a small number of staff.
Entertainment provided every night after dinner if you want it. A free minibus trip on most days if you want it.
Liked it so much we’ve booked for next year & would whole heartedly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area - but be warned - the hotel is so popular that you may struggle to find a reservation!

My mother in law and her friend booked The Langwood for a week and really enjoyed it, the owner who everyone knows as Smiler picked them up from their homes and took them door to door to the hotel which was ideal as they are both elderly. Smiler and his wife made them very welcome, they went in the ballroom most nights where Smiler entertained them sometimes in fancy dress, he also took them out on excursions quite a few times. The rooms are clean and tidy and the food although ordinary is perfectly cooked and they really enjoyed it. They are both booking again for next year.
