We have just returned from our 4 night stay, the staff are beyond friendly and can’t do enough for you. The breakfast was really good, choice of full English or cereal, toast etc. We were informed that there was over 200 guests in the hotel while we were there so the earlier you got down for breakfast the better (7:30-9:30). For that volume of guests we found breakfast very well managed, there were plenty of staff and everything seemed so well organised. Our room was a great size for our family of 5, was so nice to see the crisp white sheets instead of some dated bedding which you see in other hotels. Newly installed bathroom with a big family sized shower, which was perfect for showering my young children. The only downside I could make about our room (308) is that one of our windows would not close so we were woken by seagulls each morning from 5am which wasn’t ideal but we managed. The bar was a great size and had a large tv with the usual soaps on. The location of this hotel is great, just a short walk from coral island so ideal if you will have children with tired legs. There is a car park with limited spaces although a couple of streets away it is secure with cctv. The only thing that we could complain about was that the car park is also open the the public, which I can understand why. But when you have paid upfront for 5 days then struggle to get parked in the car park it is extremely stressful. Luckily they have a smaller car park yet another street away, which had one very tight space left, which at this point I was willing to take anything. It was not just me struggling to park as others had just dumped there cars blocking others in. I just think the car park situation needs to be organised a little better ie. when the hotel and its sister hotel are at full capacity, not to open to the public as it is only fair the hotel guests get priority. We were situated on the third floor but due to the lift we did not find this an issue with having a double buggy. Overall we found the hotel to be well ran and clean. We would definitely recommend despite the few niggles, our overall experience at the Lawton was brilliant. We look forward to seeing you again next year. Thanks

This b&b is central it’s only a 10 minute walk to all the shops bars restaurants and beach front. For the price we paid which was £70 for the two of us and included a hot breakfast each it’s worth it and I would stay again. It is a little tired and could do with a bit TLC we were with 3 other couple ours was a big disabled toilet area so couldn’t grumble but I know there were tiny shower cubicles in other rooms, there is a free hairdryer and a tv in room tho I didn’t turn ours on there was a remote so I presume it was free also a kettle with tea coffee and sugar facilities the bed was comfy and I turned the radiators on so the room was really warm. Juice tea coffee and cereals for breakfast as well as a full English car parking is an extra £5 for each vehicle which is behind the back of the hotel. A small lift to take you to your floors and electronic key cards which we got 1 each I do think the web pictures on line need to be updated as I personally think they were took when the building was decorated and updated and not actually true to the way it looks now but saying that it still is worth the money I

We stayed here for a family weekend away from the 27th -29th, we got the the hotel and the lady at reception (didn't get her name) was very nice and welcoming explained where we could park our car and paid for the parking which was £14 for two days, the car park was quite a walk away from the hotel ad it was at the sister hotel, we could park outside the hotel while we got our belongings out then go to the car park.

Our room
We had a family room which was a small double bed with three single bed
The room it self was quite spacious, it was quite drafty and cold as we walked in chest of drawers which was blocking the radiator also be careful opening the drawers because it nearly fell on me as I was putting our things away, no wardrobe but hanging space for coats or clothes, towels was onto of this.
A desk in the room which had a full size kettle, milk pots, coffee sachets, tea bags and sugar, The draw on the desk was a bit dodgy and fell as I opened the draw.

The bathroom,
The bathroom was a decent size nice powerful shower, only got complimentary soap and 3 toilet rolls.

Sleeping,
The beds are comfortable the pillows are a bit flimsy and flat not my cup of tea wish I had brought my own pillows, the duvet was quite thin I don't know if they would get changed being the time of year we are coming up to.

The have a lift which is good as my son is a wheelchair user and he had space to get in and out the room comfortably.

They have a games room which had a pool table and foosball table which was £1 the drinks prices are OK.

Noise, The main thing that kept us awake was the noises of the seagulls but you are at the seaside so it's expected so not complaining there.
The bar was quite full first thing in the morning and an evening which is expected

Breakfast was nice you had a full English which was nice, a choice of cereals and orange and apple juice I think the thing that put the breakfast down was there was no fruit to choose from which my daughter lives fruit so she was quite disappointed that there wasn't any.
There was a nice gentleman that brought our pot of tea, coffee and toast round he made sure you was happy and if you needed to have a top up of anything.
No children under 12 the leave their seats they must stay seated so my children couldn't have that enjoyment of getting up to get their own breakfast.

Overall stay. The hotel is outdated and there is bits that need improvement, but it was a nice stay we enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

Now, I know that this only cost me £49.50 for the night but no matter what I pay for a hotel, I expect to be able to sleep!

My partner and I have just returned from a night in Blackpool. The hotel is a very short walk from Blackpool prom, tower, piers, etc. so the location is great. The hotel itself could be so much better with a some new mattresses and a smile here and there!

I was quite happy when we first pulled up outside. It looked lovely in comparison to the other hotels in the street, with the exception of the double yellow lines outside, when the advert said ‘parking available’. It is available - a couple of streets away at their other hotel, at a cost of £5. There were only a couple of spaces available when we got there so I would maybe call in advance. The parking attendant asked me to park in the most awkward space (and then took the piss out of my driving). He assured us that we’d be free to pick up the car in the morning whenever we were ready to leave. However, when we checked out of the hotel, the car was blocked in, there was no attendant, so we had to go and pass a couple of hours walking along the prom until others had moved their cars.

When checking into the hotel and asking about the parking situation, as I was parked on double yellow lines, I was greeted with a very patronising “don’t stress” from the receptionist.

The room was tiny, which was fine and it appeared to be clean but I’d be surprised if the bed was bigger than a small double! The mattress was sooooo soft and extremely lumpy! I didn’t sleep a wink! There was an en suite bathroom with a great wet room type shower! There was a big lip on the floor of the bathroom doorway, which really hurts when you stub your toe on it! There were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room and no iron (we were told that there was no iron due to COVID-19 however, the hairdryer was still there - not sure what the difference is?)

Breakfast was a little cheap. A choice of a tiny cup of tea/coffee with barely enough milk, fruit juice, cereals, cooked breakfast and 1 slice of toast (warm bread). The cooked breakfast consisted of 1 bacon rasher, 1 sausage (which was barely warm and had a strange texture, as though it has been boiled rather than grilled or fried), fried bread, plum tomatoes (most of which were tomato ends) beans, 1 hash brown and a fried egg. No smiles were included!

Been here before and loved it so booked again, had room with double bed and 2 singles. Cost £135 + free parking. Upon arrival the staff especially the lady who is very pretty btw, are very helpful and cant do enough for you to be honest. The carpark is around the corner on a plumbers shop front so a little walk back but not too much of a problem. The rooms was ok and clean but maybe needed updating and a decent painter as stains on wall and looked like spillage of a drink also up wall. No tea or coffee facilites in room but I think it's down to coronavirus, there wasnt even an iron. Just a basic room with beds, but clean enough I suppose for the money. Good nights sleep apart from the elephants or noah building his ark above us they had catered for before we turned the tv on to deadun the sound. Its blackpool though so its expected I suppose, anyway the breakfast from last time was self service as was great but yet again due to this crappy coronavirus we were greeted with a hand sanitizer and showed seats, man came over and asked what we wanted, came back with 3 single toast as I suppose there were 3 of us but table next to us there were 2 and had 2 each, then the tea and coffee, 2 squares of butter and 5 packets of sugar. This isn't enough. Then we waited at least 45 mins for breakfast to be served and wasnt even busy, in this time we had asked 4 times how long it would be and it was 45 mins we had been waiting and was told they would check camera, what? Are you for real? To see how long we had been there? When it came the sausages wasnt cooked nor was the bacon, and the toast which we had saved was also now totally cold, total rubbish if I'm honest. At this point I'm not happy but being polite, havent said nothing apart from asking how long it would take as 4 or 5 tables considering they came in after us with larger parties had been served before ours, im just waiting to review I said. I'm being totally honest with my reviews and I would consider another hotel now. Really disappointed considering we had a disabled person with us. Staff at breakfast hadn't got a clue but on checkout were brilliant. Any questions please ask

What can I say about the Lawton hotel? Well one thing is that myself and non of the other 10 of my family will ever set foot in there again!
We stayed here for 5 nights as it was close to the tower and 2 of our party use wheelchairs.
This place certainly needs updating big style. The rooms are small as you can expect from Blackpool but do they not know how to clean?
We were told on arrival that there is no housekeeping while we were there and if we wanted to change our towels or empty bins , we had to bring them down to reception to sort it out.
We all went to our rooms (4 of them) and each of us said the same when we went downstairs later. The shower heads were black with mold and looked like they had never been cleaned as for my partner and I, we called to reception and asked them to clean the toilet which looked like that had not been cleaned in months as the thing was black on the bottom and all along the rim. They just put the cheapest toilet duck inside the pan and left it there for us if we needed it.
I scrubbed the thing myself for about 10 minutes with the toilet brush next to it.
The mattresses on all the beds were just like springs sticking in your back with no comfort whatsoever. The only good thing was the breakfast in the morning. All the staff were excellent as was the cooked breakfast!
To top it off we had used a small room with a pool table to play on in the evenings which was not exactly good but we used it anyway and to find out just as we were leaving that they had a games room on the other side of the building and no-one bothered telling us about!

Good location, 10 min walk from the sea front with corner shops not to far. Also 10 min walk from blackpool north station.

Right, beds whilst comfy where not secure in one place they rolled across the floor a lot. Mine had a urine stain and another friend actually contracted shingles which can only assume came from the dusty carpets and dirty sheets. The staff are rude and not overly keen on helping when requested. For a room of four we were given 1 and a half toilet rolls…
Breakfast is basic but eat it quickly as it’s not very hot. For Over £400 I wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me

Decent price, lovely room, great staff. Never ate breakfast so can't comment. Parking either on site (I was told there was only 4 spaces)
or at council car park right next to it (I paid £12.20 for 24 hours). Only downside was finding our way back to our rooms, the place is like a maze 😁.

Was told in reception the room would not be cleaned or checked over the two days we were staying, if we needed anything just ask at reception.
The room was basic and the bed was not the most comfortable. The shower was barely functional as it delivered a trickle of water at a very tepid temperature, ver disappointing!!
The staff were all pleasant and helpful, especially Gianlucca (breakfast waiter) who was really on the ball. One noteable exception was the chef doing breakfasts on the Monday (11/10/21) who was not prepared to swap certain elements of the breakfast (they did it the day before).
Decent location but the place needs smartening up, maybe a full refurb.

We arrived at the Lawton Hotel at 2pm for our check in. The check in process was smooth and simple. We were given our room key cards and TV remote. We were then shown where we could park our car (behind the hotel).
We were a bit disappointed that we had to pay extra for parking but it was only £5 per night. I guess this would add up as an additional cost if you were staying longer.... but we were only staying 2 nights so it wasn't too bad!
The hotel staff were all polite and helpful. The hotel had a nice atmosphere. The hotel looked as though it has recently had some renovation work done which was nice :) there were still odd parts of the hotel that looked very tired and dated, but most of the main areas were modern and clean!
We stayed in a family room consisting of a double bed and bunk beds. The room and en-suite was very clean and had everything we needed. The hotel was very quiet at night and we all slept really well!
The location of the hotel was perfect for walking onto the promenade. It was 2 streets away from coral island so was very easy to pop backwards and forwards to the hotel in between visiting attractions if needed. Everything we did was within easy walking distance!
Now for the negatives.... the breakfast was really nice, however it was very small. Only one of each item was given so it was perfect sizing for the kids but for an adult I would personally say it was too small. They did offer tea/coffee/juice, cereal and toast with butter which was nice, no offer of jams however.
The biggest issue that faced us was that we have a 12 week old baby who is in a pram with a moses basket pram top. The family room we had meant we had to take the pram up in the lift which was fine but then we still had to carry it up and down around 3 sets of steps to get to our room. I guess this is to be expected with the type of building the hotel is, but it did get annoying at times trying to battle with fire doors in the corridors whilst carrying the pram! The hotel did offer to store the pram down on the ground floor for us but as our baby used the pram top to sleep in this was not an option for us. There was space in the room for a travel cot in the room but we didn't use ours as our baby doesn't sleep well in it!!
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying at the Lawton Hotel again if we were to revisit blackpool! It was good value for money :)

Not sure only used lift once, very tight with 2 people and bags. Our room would not have been accessible by a wheelchair. You need to ask management this question, we did find them helpful.
