Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was an excellent find and absolutely perfect for our visit. We were going to the night time visit to The National Space Centre to watch their special “Dark Side of the Moon” Pink Floyd 50 year tribute event and had to get up and back from Surrey. The hotel was easy to find, great communication from Kerry before and during our stay, clean and tidy with clear instructions so that we could get our own (included) breakfast and leave early this morning to pick up a friend arriving at Heathrow. Reasonable price, good service, clean and friendly. What more can you ask?

This was my first time traveling from the US to England so I thought it would be important to write a review on my experience. The room was charming, and had all of the little items needed, including tea and coffee setup. It was a peaceful country setting with beautiful views and very quiet at night. Downstairs was a full kitchen, dining, and living room area. Plenty of food was available for snacking and clear instructions are posted everywhere in case you cannot find something. Setup for the kitchen included dishes, pots and other supplies are available if someone wanted to cook during there stay. Communication regarding the keys and any other questions was very clear and helpful. Being so pleased with our stay, we are trying to figure out when we can come back with other guests and utilize more rooms in the guest house.

Cannot fault the Aaron lodge. I was in room 4. Very spacious and spotless. The hosts live opposite. From the moment i met the hosts you knew they cared. A kitchen with a range cooker is provided along with an extensive self serve breakfast. Local takeaways deliver to the premises also in the evening. One word of caution :) the nearest pub is quite a hike away. (The host will get this) . If your looking for overnight or 1-5 days look no further. The price is very reasonable and reflects the quiet and peaceful accommodation along with great hosts and being clean.

It was generally very nice- lovely clean room, nice guest lounge. Quiet location. However the other guests were very noisy- talking loudly in the hallway at 1am, banging doors, stomping around. As it is a house no insulation. But the owner was very helpful-obviously the noise not her fault.

After Reading these listing reviews I called the lodge on landline and spoke to Kerry on 30th of July and booked a room for three. As I was attending a wedding reception I explained the purpose of my visit give details of my card and my name spelt it up for her as it’s an Indian name. In due course I conversed with her about the arrangements and then on third of August I confirmed my visit and booked another twin room for a party of two. I also booked for extra breakfast for other family members to join us. Which you agreed to to accommodate. This was agreed with the discussion and a price I confirmed it on Thursday fifth of August. During our conversations we exchange information about personal details and events leading up to our visit. On the 7th of August I arrived with my party at the lodge. I was told that she taken a booking of another three women. I did check them in she’d given the room away and denied ever having a conversation with me. However she booked the second room on the three ladies name. Ironically the three ladies should given the rooms to were Asian as am l. When I explained the room I booked with all the checked and she’s gone back back on her word and again she kept on denying it by this time I was totally disgusted. As I left I had last word told her she give those to women she for and cancelled. She then apologised and said she had made a mistake and offered me a room as a consolation. But this time I was totally annoyed and realise what had happened she had not checked the names because I was Asian and three Asian women turned up she accepted the booking without checking. Hooray for little England and Leicestershire walkers crisps porkpies and cheese. Forget the diversity and how it presents nationally as a multicultural city. To me these presents as ignorance and total existence of life in a bubble. Therefore I will not recommend you booking this room if you’re Asian I had a foreign name is Kerry cannot tell the difference. For those who want to stay there good luck. For me never ever will experience this again total denial and fakes. God bless her 🌈 of denial.

Really friendly & helpful landlady. It really is the perfect combination of a self-catering accommodation and a bed & breakfast. There is a fully-stocked kitchen available to all guests, a lovely lounge and a decent sized garden. Plenty of parking space, and very handy for local shops and the city centre. Breakfast is "continental", but there is cheese, eggs, toast/bread, real and instant coffee, tea, jam, preserves, cereals, Marmite, porridge... The house is clean, bright, airy and cheerful. I would happily stay again for longer. Only one problem - a squeaky floorboard above room one. Everything else was perfect.

Lovely clean rooms. Owner is very friendly and helpful. Bed very comfortable. Self service breakfast. Kitchen nice and clean and well stocked. TV in our room was very small but there is a very comfortable sitting area with a nice sized TV. Highly recommend.

Stayed here for one night when visiting Leicester for a birthday party. Room was very clean, although I don't understand why there is not a towel rail in the bathroom, as there is room for one. Breakfast is interesting, completely self-service cereal, juice, yogurt, pastries and toast. You can even boil an egg! Would definitely stay again if in the area.

We chose this bed and breakfast because of it's location to family. The guest house is very clean and comfortable, we particularly enjoyed the informality. Breakfast is a continental buffet style, there are eggs provided that you cook yourself if you want them and there is no limit on how much you have. During the day you have full use of the kitchen if you want to use it as long as you clean up afterwards. There is no problem parking right in front of the guest house, we would definitely go back.
