Leicester is the location for the second Hotel Brooklyn – after Manchester, which opened in 2020. This one is so close to Mattioli Woods Welford Road Stadium, the home of Leicester Tigers rugby club, that it’s linked by a footbridge! Hotel Brooklyn has 191 suites and bedrooms, including a number of award-winning accessible Liberty suites. The 120-seat restaurant, The Lair, is a nod to the Tigers next door and, like the whole hotel, also brings you right to the heart of Brooklyn – New York’s most vibrant, stylish, trendy district. There’s a vibrant Grandstand at the hub of the hotel – a kick-back kind of a space, where you can grab a cocktail, a beer, a glass of wine and watch a movie, listen to some music or just watch the world of Brooklyn pass by.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the nicest hotels Ive stopped in in England. It still has a new feel about it. All the staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Bed, pillows and linen are all super comfortable and top quality. Room was very large, comfortable, clean and tastefully decorated, as was all of the hotel throughout. Breakfast choice was extensive and excellent quality. The only 2 downsides were limited parking that had to be pre-booked and is £20 per day, although there are multiple cheaper options in the near vicinty; and secondly the bar closed at 10.45pm, even on a Saturday night.

The bar shuts at 10.45!! I’ve never ever been to a hotel where you can’t get a drink at ten to eleven at night! The rest of the place is ok but what sort of hotel doesn’t let its guests have a drink when getting in? Oh and there are no pubs nearby either.

Booked an executive suite rooftop terrace with private hot tub for my husband’s birthday treat. The young lady was lovely on reception checking us in. The suite was stunning. A lovely kind and thoughtful gesture from the hotel team on our arrival was so appreciated thank you. The hot tub was lovely and made it extra special. The bed was so comfy! Really pleased and would gladly come back. Thank you for a great stay.

The building is striking and modern. The interior was a fabulous mix of contempory chiç and 60' s retro.. The room was eccentric and classy. The food was very good. Every member of staff was smartly dressed, spoke good English and were extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend this place.

Great stay. Bed comfortable, great atmosphere, secure car parking with decent sized spaces. The parking worked well for us - I was organised and booked a space, you have to go to reception before you're allowed into the carpark, so you only get access if you've pre-booked. Really easy and once we were in, the carpark was secure and the parking spaces were a really good size. I have no complaints on that front and felt comfortable my car was safe. My only issue was the room wasn't ready at 3. Would have been a nice touch to have been given something for the inconvenience.

Absolutely beautiful hotel, very modern, spotlessly clean with super friendly staff. I would highly recommend. The bed was a nice firm comfortable one. We had a standard room which came with everything you need (tea, coffee, kettle, fridge, iron, ironing board, hairdryer etc). A little tip, if you want to upgrade and get a few extras, you might get an upgrade offer (executive room for an extra £20) a few days before your stay.

Nice clean and modern hotel. Bedrooms are a reasonable size although very hot at night - figure out the air con before you go to sleep! The breakfast was great with allergens labelled and loads of gluten free options which made it feel very safe for a coeliac. Only slight negative is the expensive car parking - it has a tiny car park which you must pre-book in advance and adds another £20/night onto your stay. We would definitely return though.

First visit to this hotel. Reception staff were really welcoming and checked we were happy with our rooms as we left for the evening. Bedrooms were stylish and cleverly designed. Bed extremely comfortable and corridors surprisingly quiet. We didn't eat at the hotel, but spent a very enjoyable few hours in the bar/lounge, which was spacious and relaxing. We even left a note for room service staff requesting green tea and, on our return, some sachets of green tea had been provided. Biscuits too, which is quite rare these days. The only drawback is perhaps that the walk from the central shopping area to the hotel, although only 5-10 mins away, is quite dark (along a kind of dual carriageway). It's possible to walk from the railway station/museum area, but you end up on deserted side streets and then having to cross a park. Those in cars are unlikely to find this a problem.
