Just opened hotel near The Infirmary and connected to the Tigers stadium for VIP hospitality. The Receptionist was very helpful and extremely friendly, offering to swop rooms if the one she had allocated me didn’t suit. The room was very modern, clean and comfortable. Lots of nice extras in a standard double, very quiet with no traffic noise, nor from other guests. The bar staff were pleasant, offering to bring menu and drink to the lounge areas, but service charge added to bill. Lots of nice sofas, record players and albums, but not sure if for display. The breakfast was the usual buffet style, all hot food, was fresh and the chef was available for requests. Tables were cleared away smartly after guests had left and sanitised before being reset. I didn’t eat in the evening so can’t comment. The hotel has only been open about six weeks so everything was nice and new, all the staff were keen to offer assistance. Overall a very enjoyable one night stay.

Great hotel; incredibly helpful, friendly and accommodating staff. Booked two adjoining rooms (one being fully accessible for our daughter who's in a wheelchair and needs hoisting). Even though a ceiling hoist was provided within the accessible room it didn't extend into the bathroom, which was a real disappointment (and we feel a design oversight). Furthermore the hoist track didn't run in the right location over the bed, so we had to get staff to adjust the bed position away from the wall to get it to work. A shower commode chair was provided, but this was very difficult to use and not practical for our daughter. We ended up having to use our mobile hoist (luckily we brought it with us) but this wasn't what we wanted to be doing/using when the hotel was adverstised as being fully accessible with ceiling hoists. Everything else was great though; rooms generous, staff very helpful and friendly, car park secure, overall design excellent and lovely breakfast. Would revisit definitley and looking forward to the new sites in Liverpool and Blackpool. I would ask the design team though to seriously consider incorporating a ceiling hoist in the bathrooms in any future projects - would make a HUGE difference to our stays. Thank you.

This was a very nice 2 night stay for graduation taking place nearby.
Check in was quick and also check out and staff very friendly. The room itself was really nice, loved the style of it and it was clean, roomy and comfortable, with a safe, mini fridge (although not stocked) and tea/coffee making facilities (kettle and coffee pod machine). The bed was a little firm for me but that's personal preference. The bathroom was pretty spacious and had a good sized shower which was great.

The hotel is a little bit out of the centre but it was convenient for the university and only took about 15 minutes to walk to the train station. Personally I loved the design and decor of the hotel.

The only slight niggle was the food really. We ate in the restaurant on the first night and the food was actually very nice but the service was fairly slow. It wasn't particularly busy and the starters arrived quickly but the mains took quite a while to arrive. The next day we had snacky bits in the bar in the afternoon which were very nice and arrived quickly. However we'd tried to order room service beforehand and weren't able to get through to order in the afternoon. However we did order room service in the evening for convenience and that was pretty quick and the food tasty (we did go to collect it ourselves though because otherwise it was a £10 charge).

Those issues wouldn't put me off from staying here again though as it was a good stay, the hotel was very nice, the room very comfortable with a nice view of the park and still convenient for the centre.

The hotel was ideally situated for 50th anniversary reunion at the local college.
Check in was conducted by personnel hidden behind a computer screen in the corner of the reception area. No clear direction was given to the room, so was left to wander completely in the wrong direction. Not a good first impression.

Bedrooms: beds were well presented with crisp linen but only one pillow, well stocked amenities,
Minuses : the iron posed a problem as it never got really got hot. The room safe couldn't be set, although this was resolved by a replacement, however this should have been checked by housekeeping prior to our arrival.
Bathroom: Well presented, the shower was excellent, good quality toiletries

Dining Room and Bar experience was not the greatest, A table of ten was placed in an area in the dining room with no down lighting, no additional lights were on the table so we were eating in semi darkness. The food offering read better than it was. The chicken on Caesar salad was overcooked. The service at best was mediocre with no offer of desserts or coffee or even a check to see if everything was ok with our meal.

Breakfast: Guests shouldn't have to knock on service doors for replenishments to the buffet. Hot offerings were overcooked.

Bar Service was surly and rude, the curfew of 11.00pm was implemented to the letter, so any socialising after then had to be done in a small area on a landing where bedrooms were situated above.

Check out was handled with a smile

Arrived far too early to check in but friendly reception staff were happy to store our bags until check-in.
Disappeared upstairs to the bar to wait until the room was available and again, bar staff were very friendly. They had a good selection of beers on tap which were perhaps a little expensive but that's kind of expected from hotels these days.
Checked into a twin room that was spacious, clean and had a coffee machine in it which is always a bonus. Absolute standout of the room was the shower - big enough to walk around in and with an overhead showerhead that made the water come out in a misty spray - frankly they're lucky I ever checked out, could have stayed in the shower forever.
Checkout was quick and efficient, again with polite and friendly staff.

As ‘themed’ hotels go, this was fantastic. Really well done. Clean, fresh and cosy. The shower was lovely with a little hole to put your hand through to start it so you don’t have to soak yourself when turning it on!

Parking is £20 a night and must be reserved in advance as there are only a handful of spaces.

Used this hotel as a basis to attend a conference elsewhere …first impressions is that’s it’s very stylish with a New York theme running through. Check on Dan be done via an email and then through self service.
Not sure why you need to have deposit of £50 taken from a card as we didn’t use the hotel for good/drink sort from breakfast
Rooms are laid out well with a big bed at w jaunty angle and a great powerful shower.
Tea and coffee are provided and the room was serviced and this was checked with a knock on the door from a housekeeper at teatime which again was odd?
Breakfast seemed to get very busy after 8am and the hot food wasn’t replenished so people were waiting for eggs and bacon to be put out. Otherwise there was a very good choice though when we were in there were lots of tables that hadn’t been cleared and we had to wait for one to be done for us. This might be due to staff shortages and the service was great otherwise.
The main issue I had was with parking. The hotel seems to only have a very small number of spaces for the amount of rooms and I was told when I rang up a week in advance they had no spaces and I could use the rugby ground next door when I arrived. This was great except when I drove round the rugby ground weren’t taking anyone in as there was a match on and I had to go to rhe NCP which was £25 per 24 hours!!! That’s fine as I could claim it back but otherwise it would put me off using this hotel again.

Dear Jen, Thanks so much for your kind comments which we appreciate and please be assured that we have listened and will learn. Albeit we provide accommodation and food services and like many hotels in city centre's car parking is not something we can guarantee as against the nos of bedrooms as there are over x 500 spaces within a 5-8 minute walk from the property. The few we have you've kindly highlighted do book out very quickly. That said we hope to see you with us very soon. All the very best Paul Bayliss MBE RGM Hotel BKLYN LEI

We stayed 2 nights, Friday & Saturday, to take in a rugby match at the Leicester Tigers ground which is right next door. I was aware that parking was limited so I pre-booked it well in advance and was impressed with the amount of space allocated to each bay - no risk at all of a door ding. Booking in at reception was quick and our room was ready on time at 15:00.
We loved the quirky New York themed bedroom which was cleverly deigned to maximise space. It was spotlessly clean with a comfy bed, big TV and everything else we could want including a safe and fridge. The air con worked well and quickly heated up the room.
The bathroom was also well designed to maximise shower space and, for a change, decent sized soap & shampoo containers were provided. Towels were of good quality and were changed daily.
There's a big bar area but this is needed, on our first night it was fairly empty but on the match day it was rammed full of supporters. The only disappointment was a lack of cask ales - only Guinness & keg beer. Throughout the hotel the New York theme continues and we thought it was great.
Breakfast was OK but not fantastic, a limited continental selection and the bacon was a bit overcooked, but it was kept well stocked with freshly cooked hot items.
All of the staff were really friendly, happy to have a chat and constantly checking we were OK, a credit to the hotel.
We're already looking forward to our next stay.

Room was amazing. Clean and tidy. Bed was enormous!!!!! My partner and I literally had so much space, our bed when we got home felt so small!!!!!
Staff on reception were smiley and friendly, she explained where our room was (we stayed on the rooftop terrace with hot tub, it was the cleanest hot tub we have ever been in) and to let her know if there was anything we needed.
It was our anniversary and the staff had put some sweets treats in our room on arrival.
Could not say a bad word about our experience.
We had dinner in the restaurant (fish and chips) no complaints there either.
Cocktails were yummy too 😃
Buffet breakfast in the morning was great, lots of choice and tasted amazing.
Will definitely return in the near future
Thank you

Our overall assessment is that we wouldn’t stay at this Hotel again. The front staff and reservations were 5/5 but we had a few experiences that weren’t very positive. My wife was hurt when a cupboard door fell and hit her hand. The response from staff was compassionate but management was/is dismissive and blaming her, not the bad design.

The Hotel policy advertises a discount off restaurant meals for guests but even when charging to your room the discount wasn’t applied unless you asked for it. Some of the wait staff didn’t even know how to apply it. I also don’t like automatic service charges added to my bills. Room service is available but if you want them to bring it to your room they’ll add a $ 16 Canadian to your bill.

The Hotel has few amenities ( basically none). So it couldn’t be more than 3 stars at best. In their material in the room they claim they have the usual things to assist guests at the front desk - they didn’t! One terrific staff gave my wife bandaids out of her personal supply. I asked for a couple of things they said were available- they weren’t and we were there for three weeks. No laundry service!

It’s not right in the City center. It’s basically a 15-20 minute walk from everything except the Stadium. That’s not bad and we had pretty good weather but it wouldn’t be great once the weather deteriorated.

The room was ok. Certainly nothing special but it had everything you’d expect from a hotel. Housekeeping was inconsistent but responsive to requests.
