Receptionist was extremely rude to me, accused me of lying. When I asked him to check the cctv if he did not believe me he responded with "does it look like I care" completely unacceptable service from a "luxury" hotel. Will not be visiting again.

Stayed here for just one night as we had a black tie event near by. Didn’t spend much time here but the reception / bar area looked modern and nice. The bedroom had a bit of a funny smell but wasn’t so terrible we had to leave. The breakfast was good and staff were friendly.

Dear angandjay06, Thank you for your review. I'm bit concerned that why you didn't let us know during your stay at the hotel to get it right for you and also that it took over 2 months for you to post your review. Please email your reservation details at op.mercureleicester@jupiterhotels.co.uk so we can confirm that you stayed with us. Kind Regards

Pleasantly surprised. Our room was a bit out of the way and round the back, but this meant it was quiet and we slept well. It was a good size. Breakfast was good. We did have a fire alarm...someone smoking in their room!!!! Not the hotel’s fault. We tried a cocktail one night.

Where is the nearest parking
The nearest Parking is behind the Hotel. It is, I believe, shared with other local businesses though the Hotel does have a limited space dedicated Parking right next to the Hotel rear entrance. Entry and Exit from the Carpark is via ticket operated barriers from a back street roughly parallel to Granby Street. Hotel guests will pay upon checkout and receive a pass for exit. DJG

I do not know which year you are staying, and you may already have found out the answer: Basically the Carpark is, I believe, shared between various local businesses though the Hotel does have a dedicated area right next to the rear entrance. As for most Carparking provision - first come, first served - though as it is rather a large Carpark in total I doubt you would be unable to find a space on your return - but it may not be the actual space you left.
