Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well it's a chain hotel so don't expect by way of character or charm. It's all a gernerally, bit anonymous and sterile and, to be honest, it needs some money being spent on it and it's care-worn and tired in places. But our room (somewhat austere) was clean and as comfortable as you wish for a buget hotel. The bed was fine and the blackout curtains worked well. But it, like the hotel, was showing its age. Having said that the towels were excellent and there was plenty of hot water. We had dinner and breakfast and both were fine for the price you paid (a deal for just under £27 for unlimited breakfast, drink at dinner and two course at the same). But they added an extra spurious £3 on the dinner for reasons unexplained. Swiftly removed. Overall it was just over £102 for one night for the two of us (B, B and dinner) which was fine. Staff were very good: helpful and smiley (something of a rarity in UK hotels). No orhgage juice at breakfast ("supply problems....") but amongst the best croissants and pain au chocolat we've had in the UK. Would happily stay again, but only for the one night.

Stayed here on business and we had a meal in the restaurant. We were served by a young lady called Ellie. Her customer service skills were fantastic and she was very helpful and polite. She was very knowledgeable with regards the items on the menu and recommended I tried the chicken curry which was extremely tasty. She is a credit to the team and had a great customer focused attitude. The two ladies on reception when we arrived were very nice and welcoming also. Overall a pleasant stay, rooms looking a bit tired, lights bulbs missing from wall lights but an ok nights sleep. Will visit again today if in the area overnight if only to enjoy the food and service from the restaurant.

Great service from Ellie and maddi. Very helpful, very happy and a great credit to the company. The food was OK, not the best. My window was hanging out of the wall, very noisy. The girls were great and they worked hard and always had a smile on thier face

The positives first: very convenient for central Leicester, plenty of parking, pleasant staff. We've stayed here three times because it's convenient for where we need to be. BUT....... the smell of weed is overpowering! If they had someone on security duty, they could easily identify the culprits. The room we had had a horrible unwashed body odour, perhaps the mattress needed replacing. The staff stand outside the main entrance smoking (not weed, hopefully!), next to the "no smoking" sign. And to make things worse, I was overcharged this time, which I didn't discover til I got home. I'm sure there are better places to stay in Leicester, we won't be going back to this one. Premier Inns can vary a lot. This one is the worst.

Beds comfortable and rooms clean. Staff where very friendly and helpful. This is an older hotel and some parts of the building reflect this but over all excellent value. We had dinner in the restaurant and rhe food was tasty and serving was quick. Would stay again.

Staff were always very helpful and ready to assist me if needed as a disabled person and the meal package was good although not particularly cheap. However, the hotel looks like little work has been done on renovation or maintenance since the seventies. The decor of the rooms is tired and dated and the hotel has a nerve charging what nowadays appears to be the standard £100 a night for these substandard rooms. They should plough some of this money back into hotel improvements rather than profits.

We were a little worried about being delayed and arriving here late to check in after 11pm. But we needn't have. The welcome was warm and efficient, the bar was still open and our room was very comfortable and great value for money. A Premier experience indeed.

Looked, felt, and smelt like a homeless hostel. The room was tiny, and the toilet seat was yellow. Carpets worn and holes in curtains. The doors had no slow closing and banged all night. The restaurant next door was a Thyme, and unlike all the other premier inn restaurants didnt offer any blue light discount. Husbands Guiness was rank and went back, and the fish and chips weren't cod or haddock and looked like corrugated cardboard inside. There was a time when I loved a Premier Inn, as you knew what you were getting, not anymore, but this has got to be the worst one yet!

Room Tip: Avoid, try the Braunstone one. I have tried that one, but it couldn't be worse!

Good value of money. The place was easy to find, parking on site available. The room was spacious and clean. Friendly staff. There is an option to check in early and you can check out by 12pm which was very helpful for me. Will definitely visit again. The only problem was the internet as i couldn’t really use my data due to poor signal and the wi-fi wasn’t very efficient.
