Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Hotel being used as a brothel. Loud sex going on all night in a lot of rooms with people opening doors and coming and going all night Long. Police are aware of what is going on here. Do not stay here. Full of unsavoury characters. Management and staff are uselsss

The staff were quite welcoming and friendly. Easy and quick check in. I was very pleased to have a nice cup of tea brought up to my room shortly after arrival. My bed was very comfortable with fluffy pillows. The bathroom was clean and well stocked.

Room is basic and small, but perfectly OK for a night or two in the centre. Hotel doesnt look as advertised. Bed was comfortable but found the duvet was a little too thin for me. No tea making facilities though. Not a deal breaker however. The main issue for me was the noise coming from outside. I was on floor 2 but there is a taxi rank below and until at least 2am was so noisy I couldn't sleep. Maybe a room at the back may be quieter but not sure if I'd book again

Had such a lovely weekend here, great location close to the centre of Leicester staff was so friendly and helpful. The room was fair size and very clean with tea coffee set-up, iron, hairdryer in the room. The room was furnished beautifully and the bed was extremely comfy. The staff we spoke to at reception and at the bar was so friendly and made us feel welcome.

Absolutely disgusted from the front door onwards. The room was dirty, freezing cold and unwelcoming. I would not shower my dog in the cubicle which was full of black mould. Pillows were grey and crammed into pillowcases too small for them. The duvet was thin and grubby. Air conditioning sounded like it was going to take off. Room comes with a flatscreen tv (is there any other kind?), but you can’t watch anything other than daily mail news. Do yourself a favour- stay somewhere else- not worth thirty quid never mind 100 quid.

The room was unclean and dusty. It's not a wise choice having the crushed velvet as this looks very mucky. Smoke detector was broken and not even attached. Bathroom floor was brown and looked unclean. Very loud from rooms above, floors creaking and what i'm assuming was the boiler was very loud.

Awful Experience The pillows in the room where stained and mouldy which is not acceptable. Drain in the bathroom was blocked and the room was not the cleanest. Very disappointed. Contacted the hotel to share my experience and they ignored me for a few weeks and then said that there is nothing they can do about it.

This place was weird. Nothing like advertised but we had a very comfortable couple of nights, regardless. Our room was at the back with a view of a brick wall but I gather this was a good thing as we had very little boisterous weekend noise to worry about. Décor is poor but the room was large and the bathroom was great. Splendid shower. The duvet cover was much longer than the duvet, oddly, and the pillows were actually solid square little cushions. But we slept very well. And there were two non-functioning safes in the cupboards. Kettle worked but nothing to make coffee with. None of which would have mattered if it wasn't supposed to be a four star hotel, charging more than was warranted. Great location though!

The room was so dirty and dusty, the windows were left open to get get rid of the musty smell. Was offered another room, someone went to clean the first room, second room was just as bad. Left to go to another place, ask for refund, said I can, when I asked in writing, refused. Employee were rude when I called, was told manager will call back, never do. If you differ from asthma, stay away!!
