We booked two rooms at this hotel in good faith through Expedia. We booked a year in advance with free cancellation. I was shocked when the payment was taken straight away as I got a receipt from the hotel. A week before our stay I got Covid so I cancelled one of the rooms but the hotel refused to refund. Expedia has tried to contact them but could not get through. I want people to be aware of this when booking

We stayed for one night. The hotel room was good and comfortable however quite noisy mainly from banging doors and drunken customers in the bar. Breakfast was a total atrocious we whet down no staff it took 15 mins before we saw some staff however we were still invisible !! after more time elapsed we walked out without breakfast. My wife spoke to the manger who simply didn't care! Had breakfast in the white heart hotel and it was great. I wouldn't go back to the The Duke William Hotel.

Very cosy. Really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful hotel, quaint and quirky rooms, friendly service and excellent location to visit Lincoln’s attractions. Tasty breakfast but didn’t stay for lunch or dinner. It is a pub but is not too noisy of an evening and quietens down after 11pm

Very poor, not worth the overpriced offering of £17 Staff lovely and very attentive and friendly.Food not worth the price AT all. Meat, boil in the bag , the beef especiallly, two tiny pieces, crinkled at the edges and when is belly pork regarded as roast pork with crackling ? Not good Will not go again for food.
