Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 2 nights on a much needed break. The welcome was warm & friendly and the room was perfect. In the current situation breakfast was not available but that gives us an excuse to come back again. All provision was made to make us feel safe staying at the Hotel during this time. Nothing was to much trouble for Jackie or Darren. We are hoping to return later this year. Would Definitely recommend to family & friends.

Stopped here for the weekend. Had stopped there years ago and was pleasantly surprised how they have upgraded the rooms. The house it's self has some lovely features, stained glass windows and the hall had lovely floor boards and period rugs. The stair case has lovely thick quality carpet. My room was lovely. The bathroom had quality fittings. The bed lovely and very comfortable. The linen sheets were brilliantly white crisp and smelt fresh. even the hangers in the wardrobe are quality!! Cannot fault this place at all. Everything was immaculately clean the tea and coffee tray was very generous. I have stayed in 5 ⭐ hotels that couldn't meet the stands of south park. Well done and I will definitely be coming back. Alastair

I spoke to Darren the owner directly and he very kindly sorted a room out for my 1 night in Lincoln. Clean, tidy, and very friendly staff which is a credit. The room had kettle, coffee, tea, hot chocolate drink too, sugar, biscuits. Tv with freeview The bathroom had a shower which was clean and spotless with clean towels. 1 large 2 small hand towels. Met the staff on the Sunday who are chatty and friendly. Darren also allowed me to park up after checkout on the sunday, so I could visit the castle before travelling home. It is a good walk to the main shopping high street but is on a bus route. As I don't mind walking, it was no.bother for me. If you are visiting the castle, be prepared for steep hill, which takes you up to the castle and is an understatement. Should call it heart attack Hill lol. Sorry for being going off piste a little. Anyway I would highly recommend this guest house and would give it 5 * and if I am ever in the area again, will definitely stay here again

+1
Wonderful privately owned guest house. Extremely friendly and helpful owners. Room,(6) very well appointed with some lovely touches e.g. disposable ear plugs if you have difficulty sleeping. Fred standing fan for comfort. The whole place was immaculately clean and the standard of housekeeping in the room is to be applauded as totally 100℅. Often neglected by budget hotels and even top end establishments, but not here. Excellent.

This is a splendid guest house.
I had an event at the Lincolnshire Show-ground and this guest house was in ample distance. I booked via Booking.com and was shortly telephoned by Darren to confirm my booking. He was superb - diligent, kind and very willing to cover my requirements. He is a great asset.
When I arrived at the Guest House, I was greeted by Sally who was lovely and so helpful. She showed me to Room 6, which was a large room with a double bed and a single bed. The room was great, was sizeable, was incredibly clean, had a good sized bathroom and the tea tray was well stocked. It had everything I needed and more.
There was also ample parking outside the guest house which provided peace of mind.
In the evenings, I walked into the centre of Lincoln. This took 20-25 minutes and was a nice and pleasant walk.
Overall, I had a lovely stay and will be returning when I’m next in Lincoln. Thank you Darren and Sally.

Stayed here for one night and was very impressed with the quality of the room.
Owners have spent good money and invested in the rooms.
Top quality shower and modern handbasin.
Bed was very good and room furnishings all new (room 4)
plenty of tea and coffee making facilities and even more extras.
Well done and only 37 quid in a single room!

...And there goes my chances of getting a room there again! It's worth every single penny. The detail is astonishing. Look. This is a small guest house ,within a stone's throw of the football ground and therefore about a 15 minute walk from the city centre. And it is superb.
I have been visiting my son in Lincoln (he's at Uni) for three years now and only once - this time, obviously - has South Park popped up on the list of possibles; even though I book well in advance. Smart people call direct. It's a gem of a place and doesn't need promoting.
Examples? breakfast. Help yourself to cereal; theres ooh maybe 7, 8 to choose from! Toast? Of course. With peanut butter, Nuttella, honey, or several different types of jam to slap on it. Need more butter or spread? Get up and get some! You aren't limited, everything is there. OR will be brought to you if you ask. Full English is just that. Sausage; then everything else seems to come in pairs. eggs, bacon, toms. Beans and mushrooms complete the set.
In the comments below, I have ticked yes to budget and luxury. Confused? My room was £40 per night. That's budget for a single traveller. It was extremely comfy, ensuite and shower. Tea, coffee, (With replenishments available in the dining room or lounge at any time) biscuits, chocs provided - the usual shower kit; everything you'd find in any chain. More probably. That, to me is luxury at the price.
OK. No bathrobes; but if that's your deal breaker for luxury; you'll be staying elsewhere anyway. Your loss. ;-)
I have long dreamed of owning a B&B which did really good things at sensible prices. This is it! I have your number!
Has to be one caveat. No lift. It's not accessible to anyone who is unable to use stairs. (Unless I was missing something)

I rang the guest house to see if there was a vacancy for the next day, and I spoke to Jackie who informed me there was a room available, and the rate per night. Jackie was very helpful and polite over the phone.
Upon arrival in the afternoon, Jackie had just popped out to the shops, but I spoke to her on the phone located inside the front door and she informed me that the key was waiting for me in the letterbox, and that I could access my room.
As a lone traveller, I was provided with a twin room and I was able to select which bed I wanted. The room was extremely cosy with a kettle with a selection of tea, coffee, hot chocolate and milk with cups and teaspoons. In the corner of the room there is a television with a selection of chocolates. Central heating in the room and bathroom to keep the space nice and warm. The bathroom was well stocked with towels with shower gel and shampoo available.
There is a wide variety of breakfast choices available, freshly cooked by Jackie. There are chocolate bars for those with a sweet tooth, and fruit as the healthier option. Newspapers are also available to read over breakfast. The guest house is approximately a 15 minute walk, easily accessible from the guest house.
I only stayed for two nights, but I loved my stay and world have no hesitation in staying at the guest house next time I visit Lincoln.
The hospitality of Jackie and the staff is second to none, and I was made to feel very welcome.

We stayed for two nights. The rooms are very comfortable and clean with a good range of facilities. The breakfast was plentiful and tasty. We walked into Lincoln and it took fifteen minutes. It’s a straight road. Even a bus wouldn’t take you up the hill to the cathedral!! There are lots of nice places to eat. Would definitely stay again.

Stayed here for the weekend of the Scampton Airshow and are so glad we did. What a wonderful guest house. Spotlessly clean and fantastic facilities. Many extra little touches. Breakfast was delicious and there was a great choice. Very handy for Lincoln town centre and many great pubs and restaurants nearby. We will be back without a doubt.

depends on whether you want to drive or walk. Bedford by the wharf as all the chains ( 10 to 15 m8ns). alternatively if just visit try browns pie she up steep hill by the cathedral. driving 10 mins, walking 25 mins ( but this include walking up steep hill.
browns pie shop is an institution in Lincoln and a must visit. the pies and food are excellent.
A very good Chinese restaurant 10 mins walk, a number of pubs and eating places within walking distance or Lincoln is not far away which has the usual city type eating/drinking places.
