Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Found this little gem and so glad we did. Our room was lovely, a good size, nicely decorated and a very comfy bed. Big bathroom with a great shower and plenty of towels. Everything was spotlessly clean. Parking the car was easy (and free), the staff are lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. The pub itself is brilliant, some proper characters in there and very good prices in the bar; I actually asked the barman if he’d charged us enough on our first round as it was very cheap! It’s about 15 minutes walk into town or £6.50 in a taxi. All in all, a brilliant stay and if visiting Lincoln again would definitely consider it.

We only popped in for a snack, but with the size of the portion it was very good and I didn't need to cook that evening! Lovely building inside. Good food. Helpful friendly staff. We will definitely call in again when in the area.

We came as two couples and our stay was lovely. I highly recommend. Rooms were clean and lovely. Tea and coffee making facilities. It was like we had a house to ourselves. The pub was nice and drinks were a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable and the room was nice and warm. We got a parking permit from the pub and could park right outside. Would return.

We decided to visit Lincoln for our wedding anniversary as its somewhere we both love. We arrived on Friday evening, and were greeted by Donna, (the pub was very busy as it was England/Scotland game) but she personally showed us to our room explained everything and answered any questions for us, she even reserved us a table for later that evening after we'd wondered down the the marina for food. We had a drink in a back room away from the football. Despite the fact that the pubs was busy you really cannot hear it from your room, which was lovely and cosy with a comfy bed, tea and coffee were provided for the morning. I can honestly say we had a great stay and we will definitely be staying again.

We had a very pleasant stay, the room was comfortable and the bathroom spacious, the staff were excellent and followed the COVID rules to the letter we felt very safe staying here. The breakfast was great ! If your looking to get away from the big corporate style hotels then this is the place.

The pub is friendly and has good quality beers for reasonable price. Staff were delightful. The bedroom needs quite a bit of attention especially the shower room. Breakfast was really good but the Pub does not do food so eat before you return in the evening. The Pub is at the bottom of the Hill and so its quite a climb up to the Cathedral area.

We stayed here for a night. The room was perfect, with a shower, tv and tea/coffee making facilities. The pub sells reasonable prices drinks & has friendly staff who are happy to advise on the best places to visit whikst we were in Lincoln. The breakfast was perfect. All served hot and to taste, (I asked for my eggs well done & the chef had no problem with this. A full English consisting of Sausage, egg, bacon, tomato, black pudding, mushrooms and beans. There are two rooms here, located just to the side of the pub. There was minimal noise from 10pm onwards, despite there being a 50th party being held in the pub. We would definitely stay here again, should we be in Lincoln again.
