This has been our first visit back since lock down has eased. We have stayed many times and always loved our time in this beautiful stunning guest house. We were welcomed as usual by Anna and Iain but in the new normal way with masks on which made us both feel so safe and secure. Everything had been sanitised and cleaned to a high standard. We stayed in the attic room which is one of our favourites as you have a lovely view of the cathedral which is wonderful at night time. The only difference due to COVID 19 is the complementary breakfast which was delivered to our door at a time to suit us. All I can say is wow beautifully presented in a basket with china plates and cotton napkins. It was so tasty especially the oatie biscuits that were homemade by Anna. Nice piece of fruit with yogurt, orange juice, crossiant with jam inside and a baby bel cheese. Very filling and a really lovely touch. Even though we have always been used to having a social chat during breakfast we found Anna and Iain were still always available for a coffee and a chat downstairs. Can’t wait to revisit in a few months time.

· Honestly, it truely is a home away from home with a touch of luxury. It wasn't overloaded with inventory, but the items in the room, such as a music box and a sewing box gave it that special touch. I felt like the room had its own character and that's quite nice. The selection of drinks available in the room such as teas, coffees, and hot chocolate (there was even a packet of biscuits) meant that it catered for everyone's diverse needs. The little toiletries gift bag in the bathroom is also above and beyond, although I only used the soap, it was nicely presented. For the first time in four years I really didn't want to get out of bed, the bed was so cosy with a good quality duvet/quilt. The images online doesn't give the room justice, its so much appealing to the eye in person. The breakfast was amazing. There was something for everyone, from fruit, yogurt, cereal, cheese etc. I think all dietary needs are met there. The hosts are just loveable. They remind me of Mr and Mrs Weasley in their characters and personalities, they really is no reason not to love them. I just don't see where they make a profit if I'm honest, everything is high quality including the customer service, and a great location, so at £55 I felt that they under charge (especially when I have paid more elsewhere and the standards were no where near the one at Creston Villa). Overall, above and beyond expectations, I can't recommend them enough and would definitely plan to stay there again.

I've been coming to Creston Villa for the last few years and can't recommend it highly enough. Anna and Iain are the perfect host and hostess - very warm, friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable.

The Victorian guest house has a lovely, cheerful atmosphere with very large, high ceilinged rooms beautifully decorated in individual period styles. There are lovely touches around the rooms to give the impression that you are a guest in somebody's country home e.g extra touches in the bedrooms such as an Edwardian dress hanging at the side of a wardrobe, a parasol in the corner, evening gloves over a mirror. There are only 2 rooms per floor so it is lovely and quiet.

The place is spotlessly clean and warm and the continental breakfast is perfect - homemade jams, specially prepared yoghurt, granola fruit bowls, cold meats and cheese and endless coffee. Complementary sweets and homemade cakes are also available.
So sad I was unable to stay my usual 3 nights this time, but already looking forward to my next visit when the weather warms up!

Stayed at Creston Villa 3 nights for a Steampunk weekend in Lincoln. It was our first time here but we now want to book it for every event in the local vicinity, it was that good!
Anna and Iain are the most wonderful hosts and the nicest people you could wish to meet. We were treated like long lost friends and nothing was too much trouble for them. I have some dietary needs , vegetarian and gluten free, and they made sure I had plenty of food that suited me. The breakfasts were incredibly fresh and tasty and plentiful and the home made jams and red onion marmalade were a real treat ( I bought 3 of the jars of onion marmalade as gifts!) Anna also made gorgeous fresh oat cookies and chocolate brownies to keep you topped up during the day and made sure I had a gluten free treat too....yummy. The house is beautiful and has a wonderful and welcoming peaceful aura. It's full of amazing quirky and eclectic vintage items that each have a story. Anna also sells some of her lovely vintage jewellery and bags and I came home with 2 gorgeous brooches. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and the rooms are large and sumptuous containing everything you need for a very comfortable stay, including dressing gowns and slippers, tea/coffee, biscuits and sweets. I have never slept so soundly ( not even in my own bed!) and wanted to take my mattress home with me!!

This is a Superb Guest House and I consider myself very lucky to have found it. Looking forward to seeing you again Anna and Iain xx

We stayed for four nights in this beautiful guest house. Anna and Iain are always so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. We stayed in the attic room which is beautifully furnished and everything has attention to detail. Al the rooms are cleaned to a very high standard and always feel safe with sanitisers in all rooms and all through out the guest house. The lounge area is so beautiful and relaxing and great place to unwind if you do not wish to use your room. Breakfast is continental and wow it is amazing with so much choice and Anna.s oat cookies are so delicious. Thank you Anna and Iain for another great stay.

A gorgeously ornate Victorian styled guesthouse. Antiques and ornaments embellish every corner ranging from the ceilings, walls, furniture to detailed decorations at each corner of the staircases and daily life items used in Victorian era, making you feel like a princess. Make sure you have capacity in your iPhones for avaricious phototaking in this ‘attraction spot’!

What draws you more to this guesthouse is the hospitality and very warm welcoming of the hosts, Anna and Iain. They provide you with superior catering services by serving you with their well-prepared continental breakfast, which is free and giving you options to choose! There are several kinds of cheese, tomatoes, fruit jams, bread for toast, and also a self help buffet for another set of food and drinks. The complimentary sweeties, oat cookies and brownies made by Anna are heartwarming addition to the rich energiser meal that starts your day.

They are chill to chat with especially greeting you with welcoming faces and warm smiles. They generously share about the history of the house (because I asked), their past life experiences, their family, their enjoyment in working in the house. They remember what you have shared and it makes you feel cared for even you are new acquaintances.

They demonstrate amazing efficiency in their work, showing you what it means by passion in work, cooperation, visitors being their prime concern. They maintain the house in perfect hygienic condition that you don’t need to worry about itchy bedsheets or dusty carpet floor. They are far more concerned about all these than you are because they put YOU first.

Anna had a brilliant eye for the refurbishment of the house and taste for antiques. There are antiques for sale in cabinets in both the dining room and guest room, sharing the exclusive joy with you. She also purchased Victorian musical figures for her grand daughters and some are for sale now. I bought two only because of my suitcase was already on the verge of explosion.

Creston Villa Guesthouse is definitely a must-return place for stay in Lincoln. It makes you dream big - to own your house and furnish it in your favourite style; it invokes your interest in old Britain and enhance your appreciation to quality things; it reminds you of the importance of life enjoyment, care and love among people.

We could not fault this B & B. One of the best we have stayed in. The hosts Iain & Anna are extremely friendly & welcoming. Our room, the Pine room was lovely with lots of interesting features. The attention to detail is superb - sweets in the bedroom as well as the dining room along with cake bars & drinks on hand. We were even left a box of Roses along with a Valentine card in our room for when we arrived. The breakfast was super & we would definately stay here again.

We were welcomed by Anna & Iain into their lovely guest house. We parked in the private car park to the rear of the property and was then shown around and taken to our room by Anna. The whole house is decorated in a Victorian/eclectic style and is immaculately clean throughout and felt very safe in these covid times. Our en suite room had all the amenities we needed (and more) and it was lovely to take our drinks downstairs to the new guests lounge. A 30 minute walk took us into the heart of the old city however we were reliably informed that buses run from just outside around every 10 minutes so perfect if you didn't fancy a walk or inclement weather. We chatted to both Anna and Iain over our complimentary breakfast and endless cups of tea. Thank you both for an excellent stay and helpful advice and hope we will be able to stay with you in the future.

The guest house is beautiful and the breakfast is a must. The owners cannot do enough for you and it is really handy for visiting Lincoln City Centre,. which is a short walk away. I was in the garden room, which is on the ground floor and consisted of twin beds. All of the rooms are beautifully laid out with little quirky additions. Very comfortable beds. I have stayed here twice previously in different rooms so I know the quality. The ceilings are high and each room is sympathetically decorated. If you want to buy a gift there is a display cabinet with all sorts of options. Each room is well equipped with tea, coffee (filtered), water, sweets, sewing box .... it goes on. Fabulous.

I stayed for just one night, which was a shame, as it is such a perfect place for a super comfortable break. Anna and Iain are wonderful hosts who have created this unique b&b experience, combining traditional comforts with their own very individual tastes. The theme of Victoriana suits the Villa and provides a fascinating background to the stay.
What really makes it special though, is their eye for detail, every little thing has been thought of, including proper fresh milk for the room!
Breakfast was a delight, with a wide range of Anna’s own homemade preserves and relish to go with the delicious range of fresh ingredients.
Lincoln centre is an easy 20 minute walk away, so the location is great, with ample off road parking.
Thank you and I hope to stay longer next time.
