Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Condition of room and bathroom was very good, for Christmas 2023 stay. Staff were good, check in was fast, efficient and pleasant. Parking was so easy. My bathroom looked like it was newly fitted. Will use this location again.

Good hotel. Conveniently located on a bus route to town. Easy access to the airport too. Chose here as it’s an area I know well. Very convenient for what I wanted to do. Free parking. Drinks next door at the Kingsman ( Toby) reasonable. Lovely Mexican restaurant over the road.

At 12:30am the fire alarm went off. Everyone evacuated the building but the staff in charge that night did not have a clue how to handle the situation. The staff were running around aimlessly. They decided to do a walk around of the building to see if there was a fire!!!! After a while they decided that there was no fire but still no one was able to silence the alarm. By now almost an hour had passed. The residence were stood outside waiting for the fire brigade to come, they never did arrive. One of the residents worked at a Travelodge at a local airport and she took control of the situation. We were finally told that it was safe to enter but I had no trust in the staff that night after this shambles. I slept in my clothes that night and so did my husband, just in case it went off again. Nothing was said in the morning when we finally left. If there had been a fire that night I dread to think of the consequences. In my opinion the staff were not trained to deal with the situation which I think is abominable in this day and age. I would not recommend anyone i know to stay at a Travelodge......ever!

Our family arranged our stay over a weekend family wedding aand we found the accommodation entirely adequate for our needs including a well arranged disabled bathroom. We did not require the frills of an expensive hotel but the comfort, cleanliness and convenience of this establishment were all that we could expect with the added bonus of helpful and pleasant reception staff. The proximity of the "Toby" Carvery was an added bonus.

Overall, excellent value. Friendly professional staff. For me, ideally located. Have stayed at Aigburth dozens of times and will continue to do so. Need to improve the bedding, but the room was warm and comfortable. Highly recommended.

Me and my family stayed in this hotel for two nights and from the beginning we got the warmest welcome from the staff, the hotel itself is also very clean and organised with excellent staff. The room we stayed in was one of those family rooms which were cleaned to perfection, the beds were nicely made and the room was very cosy.It was a great stay and I would definitely come again!

One overnight stay. Close to main road but quiet enough with window closed. Rooms quite basically furnished but comfortable enough and bathrooms work well. Recommended if comfort is not high premium and for short stays. Staff were great.
