Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Visited the Anfield Guest house for the 4th time and each time I've had no complaints James was very helpful and welcoming and the rooms are very good as well. BnB in a prime location for the football and not far to get into the city centre would definitely recommend to anyone

From point of booking to departureI cant fault James and his crew - what great people and welcoming. I definitely wasn't expecting what we got. The rooms were clean and comfy apart from squeaky bed (room 5) - we were shown the outside bar - what a revelation - was brilliant - set us up perfect for the match - you wont get a better location. Returning we had another drink at the outside bar - the ladies on duty were fantastic and friendly. Breakfast was very good - Continental and choice of eggs - good scrambled!!! Set us up for the journey home. All in all 10-10 - definitely be back - well done you lot!!

Host and staff was fantastic, accommodation was as it says on the tin, next door to Anfield and a couple beds for me and my dad, bar in the garden which was a great touch, breakfast in the morning was great too, can really tell the owners gone all out and done as much as possible to create a really welcoming experience and at home, only thing we found was our room was ridiculously hot so didn’t sleep to great, but we also didn’t open the window so that’s on us. Lots of space, clean and tidy, tidy bathroom and parking included makes match day experience all the better. Will defiantly be our regular stay from now on, no need to go anywhere else, cheap as chips too. Thanks again and we’ll see you next time.

Arrived to find nobody around. Owner appeared after 10 mins and showed us to the room but failed to give us any further info re breakfast etc. Room was very clean as was the bathroom and bed very comfortable BUT there was no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was very poor. Some other guests told me they had kettles and teabags but no mugs!!!!!!!!!!! No glasses or plastic cups in the bathroom. There were no directions for the dining room or what time breakfast was served so I emailed the owner but have not received a response. Other guests had been told there was no breakfast but it is advertised on the Web page. So at a price of £50 each I would have expected breakfast. There was nobody around when we checked out and no instructions on what to do so we simply left. No instructions on how to contact the owner if there was an emergency. The pictures of the dining room are from the house next door. I have to admit it is very well placed for Anfield but that's about it.

I’d like to start by saying that this property is excellently located next to the Anfield Stadium and was perfect for my husbands booked Legends Experience. Communication with the owner was minimal but ok and we we were able to book a second night at late notice which was helpful. The room (no 7) was spacious and obviously fairly recently decorated. The towels provided were large and well laundered. The Smart TV is a good addition to the room for those wanting it. Despite being a loft room it was bright from a single roof light. Now the not so good bits! - we never saw a soul during our stay; at all!!! We were informed the owner/manager would be at Wembley for the Semi Final (fair play!) but expected maybe a note or some info to help us on arrival? - we never caught sight of the breakfast part of the booked BnB? - there was no information provided about the off street parking so we ended up speaking to a neighbour who said it would be ok to park outside the property as no matches on that weekend. - advertised tea and coffee making facilities consisted of a tray with coffee, tea and a few sugar sachets but no cups/spoons/milk? - it was very difficult to fill the kettle from the tiny sink in the bathroom - it was necessary to remove the glass shelf from above the sink to be able to brush your teeth without head butting it! - the shower was no more than a trickle and the tray has been installed unevenly so it feels as though you’re slipping out of it. - no bath mat or anti slip mat was provided so we had to use the spare bath towel. - there is no ventilation in the room, apart from an extractor in bathroom so we had to stand on a chair to open the roof light. A hook rod is provided to close the Velux blind but we didn’t choose to close this. Overall, a beautiful house with, from what we could see, a good sized garden to the rear. Loads of LFC memorabilia to indulge in. We feel the £100 a night price is very steep basically for a bed. Maybe an update to the website would benefit future guests. We wish you all the best for the future and hope you take our comments as constructive rather than negative. Come on you reds! YNWA.

You don't need to look anywhere else if you want to visit for the Footy or other Events, or even just for a visit. My wife and I came up from Warminster, Wiltshire for the football. The owner Jay is a very welcoming and generous fella, nothing was too much trouble. The room was great value for money. Nice bed, TV, ensuite, Tea/Coffee. Free, secure off road parking nearby as directed by Jay. Breakfast was continental, something for everyone. Great displays of LFC memorabilia everywhere and flat screen TV's in the bar, lounge and breakfast room. Almost didn't want to leave a review in case too many people book and Jay can't fit us in again.

We ended up staying a week at this lovely B&B which is really close to Anfield. Perfect location to match day, pubs and places to eat. Jay is very friendly and accommodating and made our stay enjoyable. Would highly recommend this venue. Rooms are comfortable and spacious.
