Booked afternoon tea for my partner and I for our anniversary. Service was poor no members of staff to be found. They didn't explain what food was included on the menu or asked if we had any allergies. When we wanted another drink we waited over 15 mins for a staff member to walk by so we could ask for another drink we where under the impression hot drinks where unlimited and was told we only had 1 serving each. The staff member forgot to tell us this information and the price for a small pot of tea (which was only half filled) and a medium latte was not worth the price. Not even worth mentioning about the food. Overall not good service or worth the money.

Hotel's Favourite
We stayed here earlier in August for my husband's birthday. We arrived on an early flight and the hotel stored our luggage for us before check in. We have stayed previously and weren't disappointed this time. A great hotel in prime location for all Liverpool sight seeing. 5 minute walk from the bus station, 10 minute walk to the Docklands and around 5 mins or so to Matthew Street. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast great and staff pleasant. I appreciated the birthday card, balloon and chocolates left in the room for my husbands Birthday. The pool was great you need to pre book your 30 min slot (it's small) but a great amenity to have. The only negative is on check out I would have expected to be asked how our stay was this didn't happen. Recommended for a great base to explore this fascinating city.

Stayed for one night in February. Very impressed and will stay again. We arrived a bit early so went for a drink and game of pool in the bar. The receptionist kindly came and found us as soon as our room was ready. Very comfortable beds and very quiet considering the central location.

Well situated in Hanover Street for Albert Dock, Liverpool One and many restaurants. Welcoming, helpful staff on reception, bar and restaurant. Plenty of variety for breakfast. Good standard rooms. Spa and pool in the basement. Always my go to hotel in Liverpool and never had any complaints.

Sadly cam only give a 2 stsr rating as this is really a fine hotel for the price. However am 2 nights into a 3 night stay and both mornings we have been woken up by the sound of delivery trucks unloading or similar, incessantly between 7 and 8am. Despite being on the 5th floor (524) and having the windows closed it felt as if we were actually in the garage, the noise was so loud.

In terms of location, it's hard to beat this property. It's very convenient in terms of transportation, with shops, restaurants, and the Albert Docks within easy walking distance. Having a Tesco almost next door was so convenient for supplies. Check-in was a breeze and we had a lovely big room. As others have mentioned there's a separation between bathroom and toilet - something I like. The room has all the amenities I like to see in a hotel that caters to business travelers - i.e. an iron and ironing board, safe, and ref - the ref filled up quickly with supplies from Tesco. We loved the bed - just the right sort of firmness and you won't notice your partner moving around. Accor does an excellent job with the beds in all their brands - one of the reasons I love to stay with them. The sleep guide is a great touch. Nice big smart TV, lots of plugs for electricity, ref, hot water maker, the sofabed gives you added seating and there's a nice desk. The shower was fantastic the whole bathroom felt nice. Like many other hotels, there's a distinct minimalism to the items in the bathroom - but nicely selected shampoo/soap brands. Overall I liked the layout of the room - this of course is something of a personal matter. Would stay here again.

This hotel is the perfect for exploring Liverpool right in the middle of it all. The room’s were clean and the staff were friendly but the beds are so uncomfortable, pillows are hard and the room was very hot and it’s January yes we turned down the heating. With being in middle of it all comes with the noise from the street we needed the window open but that meant no sleep as it was very noisy being woken up on a Sunday morning to sainsbury’s delivery driver banging around wasn’t the best also the light from the car park opposite is so bright through the night it was either roast or be lit up like Belisha beacoon.

Bought a one nights stay with Tesco Clubcard points. No option to book breakfast in advance, have to do it on arrival. Didn't bother as it was £18 each!!!! Clean room. One of the strangest layouts I have ever seen. Seperate bathroom and toilet. No locks on either of the toilet and bathroom doors. Nespresso machine was a nice touch. They need to get rid of the pool table and all of the kids running around downstairs though. Stopped us from having on-site drinks.

Having never stayed in the Novotel I was very skeptical. I went down to watch a football match with my little boy so really just wanted a nice place to go with him as part of his trip. When I tell you im fussy - im fussy - cleanliness is up there for me as a priority! Im the holiday goer who scans trip advisor for hours and hours before booking anything! First of allL The Staff: They were absolutely lovely - I checked in with ease. FYI - There is a £50 deposit needing paid on arrival - and refunded when you leave . If im honest my card stopped working for the room and i popped to reception who replaced this pretty quickly - wasnt a big deal for me. Rooms: We were allocated a room on the top floor (11th Floor). 3 Lifts available, and very quick. Room itself was spotlessly clean, and beds were very comfortable! Let me tell you - the whole place was spotlessly clean! Theres a hairdryer in the room ladies :) . Swimming Pool: Its quite small - but perfect- we had alot of fun.. was a little brucey bonus for my boy after the game on sat we went swimming. I think its open until 8pm - and its VERY quiet, we had the pool to ourselves 6.30-8pm. You need to book the pool before going- call them a day or two before- this ensures its not overloaded with people- however we went on a Sunday and it was very quiet. General Areas: Spotless (i know i keep on at this- but its a must for me).. There was a good few TVS playing the football, which was fantastic! Theres a pool table aswell, we had a few games of pool and headed to the room for a movie at night- perfect little place! Two pints of Lemonade and Fresh Orange were £6, so £3 each - thought price wise for a hotel this was good! Not over run with kids, but there were a few families here who were down for games. Breakfast: Full English available, fruit, toast, nutella/pankakes, cereal, apple/orange juice fresh and coffees from the machine (Latte/Cappuchino etc etc). Breakfast was nice. Staff on hand cleaning everything. Utensils etc very clean. Only thing id say was the pancakes werent the greatest, but thats me totally nit picking if im honest!! Location: Your a 5mins walk from Albert Dock(all the buses pull in here if your flying down, so get off at Albert Dock) - theres restaurants on the doorstep of the hotel. Theres little electronic scooters for hire across from the hotel too (oh and the hotel has umberellas for hire if you need one!) We went to football - back to the hotel, swimming in the evening, and stepped out to choose where to go for a bite to eat - italians, pub grub, lots on offer on the doorstep - we chose the Carribean place (Turtle Bay - it was absolutely beautiful to eat in here and quite a funky wee place too - they do burgers aswell if your with anyone whos fussy - but for me it was delishh and they do decent mocktails and cocktails too!). Overall - your in a great location - a 15min drive from the stadiums if your going for football and a good addition is that there is a carpark nextdoor to the hotel- QPark Hanover Street - litterally next door - if you book - ask the hotel for the discount code as you get 30% off.

Good location just minutes away from stations, transport links, shops, restaurants. Right next to Qpark where you get a discount and a Tesco to stock up on the essentials for the room. Check in was a challenge and never get the point of 2 staff checking in 1 customer when there is a queue!! Poor training?? Went to room and card didn't work. Went back to Reception, queued up again and then 'plum' tells me I have got someone elses card. That's right, I pick pocketed someone in the lift and stole their card. I'd say it was more like incompetent staff who should take ownership rather than blaming a guest!! Room is clean and functional. Check put was just ambivalent as check in. 2 staff standing talking about their night out last night. Far more interesting than saying thank you to a lowly guest!!
