Sefton Park Hotel is a beautifully restored Victorian Villa overlooking the Boating Lake in Sefton Park, the largest park in Liverpool. It is one of the original detached houses on the perimeter of the park where rich merchants and shipping magnates once lived in style. Today it offers a warm friendly welcome, comfortable accommodation and quality food and drink which is served in Astrid's Bar and Michelngelo's Italian Restaurant. More modern history confirms that 'The Blenheim' was, infact, the family home of the fifth Beatle, Stuart Sutcliffe in the 1960s. Stuart's family continued to live here until 1970.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We held our daughter's wedding here 24/02/2024 and we can honestly say the whole experience was wonderful. The staff were amazing very attentive, excellent service. Julie made sure all the guests with with food allergies and those who are vegetarian were catered for 5 star service and the food was amazing. The function room was stunning, all the guest that stayed over said the rooms were lovely, beds comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Thank you so much to Amy the manager and all her staff.

Just had the most amazing Sunday roast dinner - 3 courses .. we went as a family of 6. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who served us throughout our meal , very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent , all fresh and homemade , beautifully presented and probably the best Sunday roast I’ve had in a long time! & for three courses at £24.99 per head it’s a great price for the quality & also a beautiful setting .. highly recommend. 🙌

A wonderful experience, was made to feel welcome from the first minute we arrived. Excellent service. Very friendly staff, especially Julie and Joan, both of whom go the extra mile. They are both a wonderful asset to the hotel. The breakfast menu is great and flexible. A pity that there isn't a meal service in the evenings. That would be an excellent service to offer the visitors, especially if they are long-term visitors.

My wife and I called in without reserving (advised to do so normally) and were lucky to get a lovely window seat where we enjoyed a delicious and plentiful Sunday roast dinner prepared by Cathy in the kitchen. Highly recommended. The stand out feature though was the warm friendly service by Julie, she was great and a real credit to the hotel. She looked after us with a smile and very efficient service. Well definitely return.

Great location away from city centre with park directly oppositeand my beloved Lark Lane just around the corner. Staff were lovely and the bar prices were reasonable. Dog came too and made welcome. Parking was free and I would be happy to make this my home-from-home. If you are looking for super smart, a city break or a Premier Inn experience, this hotel is not for you. If you are looking for all the good stuff I mentioned above, this venue is perfect.

We have stayed at the Sefton Park Hotel on a number of occasions now, because our daughter and grandson live in Liverpool. We always have a comfortable room and a lovely breakfast in the morning. This time we discovered they do Sunday lunch, it was excellent, very tasty and they were very accommodating for my needs as I have to be on a gluten free diet. Brilliant staff too, very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back.

Room was spacious, view of Sefton Park, bed very comfortable and no outside noise. Delicious cooked breakfasts made to order and waitress service, a relaxed start to the day. Free car parking and a regular reliable and speedy bus service available just outside the hotel. All the staff were friendly and helpful, I simply cannot fault this hotel, even its architecture is impressive.
