We booked on the off chance, but we were delighted with what we found. I had struggled to find this quiet and private place, so much so, that the owner had to come and get me! Dave Roberts, the proprietor was a very kind host and nothing was too much trouble for him. A lovely quaint place - a real...

Stayed at this Guest House for two nights from 4-6 July 2014. We would say it is between 2/3 star accommodation, but Mr Roberts, the owner, is very obliging and friendly. The house is surrounded by a lot of large, mature trees which made the house quite dark. We had a ground floor double room with en-suite which was clean...

Location is ideal for those who drive, as it is about 10 minutes from Liverpool City Center. Parking is easier. It is walking distance to bus stop as well if you prefer public transport. The room is nice with fantastic breakfast. Owner is nice and friendly.

Booked 2 rooms. Situated in a quiet leafy suburb, close to bus stop, 75 is best route to town. A further 5 minute walk to Allerton Road if you want some local shops. Rooms clean & beds comfortable, breakfast very well cooked. There's a very well stocked hot beverage selection cupboard where you can make drinks for room if you...

No frills, but a nice place to stay, a good breakfast and a friendly owner. It's about 4 miles from the centre, but it is in a nice neighbourhood with some really well rated restaurants and parks etc. 5 mins to bus stop, with buses about every quarter hour on public holidays, 30 min, £2.20 trip. Taxi from train station...

Somersby House was recommended to me and, is a grew up in the area, I knew it was in a really nice part of the city and, importantly for me, close to my Mum's place. I found it easily enough, despite a couple of one-way roads, and it is a beautiful old house with an amazing garden. Mr Roberts who...

This B & B is situated in a leafy suburb and is spotlessly clean and has parking. The bedroom and en suite were good value for money considering what you can get in the centre of Liverpool. Dave is a friendly and helpful host and we would choose to stay here again. There is also a kitchen, lounge and garden...

Nearby to a park, to the bars and restaurants of Allerton and only 10 mins from the city centre, this b&b has something for everyone depending on what type of liverpool wknd you want. I have stayed in the Somersby Guesthouse the 3rd time now (this time I stayed for three weeks) and each time I did highly enjoy my stay. From the first moment I came here I felt welcome and at home. Dave, the owner, really did everything to make me feel comfortable and makes the best beans on toast I've ever...

What a fantastic guest house, Dave, the owner, couldn't do enough to help! Great location and fabulous room. I had a great nights sleep am only sorry I didn't stay for breakfast as I left very early, I am sure it would have been as top notch as everything else. Thanks again Dave, I'll be back!
