Stayed overnight in a twin room, clever use of an awkward space. The hotel was very clean and well kept. Breakfast was included in the price and the portions were generous, in fact I couldn't finish all my scrambled eggs! All the staff were met were very pleasant and helpful. Not a 5* review as the bed could have done... More

Would have been a higher score if we had not had to share a communal shower and toilet. Friendly, and professional staff. Good breakfast. Room was clean, and comfortable. Room overlooking busy street. Traffic noise went into the early hours. However, this is a large city with an active nightlife, so to be expected. Maybe if windows were double glazed... More

Good hotel to stay in Shimla.Good food and good service. Some of the rooms are having good scenic view. Even tough you will not find everything as you find in a hotel but overall its a good place to stay at.

This is a small family-run hotel. The room I got was small but cozy, with flowery bed spread and such. The bathroom was terribly tiny, and uncomfortable. Their English breakfast is hearty and traditional, with lots of bacon. Service is friendly but distant, which I find professional. Good location.

We had 3 nights at the Aachen. First of all, the photo on trip advisor is not of the hotel. So don't be looking for that! I will post genuine photos with this review. Basically it is two houses made into one. Well appointed, clean and friendly. The dining room and bar area are modern and pleasant. The room was... More

Stayed here for three week nights during a conference last week. Great value and very central to Liverpool, just a few minutes walk from Lime Street Station. The room and bathroom were very clean and every member of staff I encountered was helpful. Breakfast choices were basic continental (cereal, yogurt, fruit and toast) or cooked (full English or selection). Rooms... More

The hotel is pretty old school, rooms pretty old school, bathrooms are clean. Wifi not the best. Location is decent so you can easily walk to Central in 5 minutes. Breakfast is so so unless you wanted cooked breakie which looked good. Staff are nice.

You will not mistake this for a 5 star hotel but it doesn't have 5 star prices either. The room was clean and comfortable, thought had been given to the facilities we might want ... microwave, small fridge ... and most important for me ... a mirror with good light where I can do my makeup. This is something that... More

Decided on a last minute 2 day trip to Liverpool in the first week of August. Checked out many hotels on their own websites and on booking sites, many were still quite expensive but one that stood out was the Aachen with a very good 2 night offer including breakfast. It is within easy walking distance of Liverpool Lime Street,... More
