Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked a suite, the Room not at all as good as we expected. Like a budget hotel, lacking in style. White and wooden, no soap in bathroom, dull noise all night from something kept us awake. Skipped the expensive breakfast too. Wouldn't recommend

We booked private dining for my Nan’s 100th birthday. From the organisation of the event with the events team to the service and attention we received on the day, everything was magical. We stayed in the hotel that evening also, which was so lovely and the room was great. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and well worth it just for that! Can’t fault anything at all. Well done Hope St!

This would have been one star , upon arrival we felt like we were an inconvenience, Damian really needs to take customer experience lessons from the lovely Rosa, we dropped our bags early as you are allowed to do but Damian’s lack of welcoming left a sour taste, we spent the day in Liverpool and on our return where greeted by Rosa… and this is where the experience turns from one star to 5 star, she was warm welcoming friendly funny and just an all round beautiful person, room is very nice too

Although it is advertised as having a spa, in fact guests have to pay to use it - and £45 for 2 hours is rather a lot if you just want to use the sauna and steam room. The room was lovely but we struggled to get the heating to work.
