I usually prefer the anonymity of a hotel but staying at this spectacular B and B has really changed my mind. Owners Glenn and Sarah are truly the consummate hosts. They could not do enough for me during my three night stay. Sarah even took the time to write out several walking tours that I could take around the city. My room was beautiful and the breakfast that they prepared was superb! A truly outstanding experience!

Beautiful house and bedroom, what a setting for a luxurious breakfast, and so much lovely food we didn't need lunch. The hosts were attentive and friendly and made us feel like royalty. Would definitely recommend to family and friends

This is a lovely B&B owned by a couple, Glen and Sarah, who are both amazing hosts. The property is beautiful and a bit off the beaten path although an easy walk to Albert Dock and the sights of Liverpool. Sarah makes a wonderful breakfast, worth it just for that. The B&B is filled with art, books and music…very welcoming.

It was like staying with friends in their gorgeous home! Our hosts could not have been kinder or more helpful and did everything they could to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our bedroom was lovely and spacious and we appreciated the design and the eclectic mix of furniture. Every need was catered for, from the books to the range of teas and coffee to the fluffy white towels and bathrobes and even the gin and tonic. Breakfast was beautifully served in their classic diningroom and it was all plentiful and delicious. Altogether we had a wonderful stay and definitely hope to return.

What an amazing experience it is staying at the beautiful 2 Blackburn Terrace. A striking Georgian building that has been stylishly converted into a fabulous boutique hotel. The decor is just superb, everything is so tasteful with every attention to detail. The hosts Glen and Sarah are utterly charming offering the warmest of welcomes and ensuring that your stay is perfect and pleasurable. Comfort is second to none with spacious rooms, generously sized beds, the softest bedding and it is so peaceful, the perfect recipe for a good nights sleep! Breakfast is an experience in itself, delightfully presented, great atmosphere and so much choice! We will definitely stay here again, it truly is a hidden gem, tucked away on a quiet road but perfectly located in the heart of the city.

I love this place, utterly love it. It's what I have been searching for - a "boutique" hotel that really delivers on the promise of a unique, welcoming stay in a beautiful location. The building itself is gorgeous, a feast of colour, art and excitement all complementing the wonderful old house with its high ceilings and sturdy fixings. The breakfast room feels, because it is, like an exclusive place in which we enjoyed a perfect leisurely breakfast. It was a perfect start to our days in Liverpool. Our room had a wonderful view across the rooftops over to the Liverpool Cathedral. We slept soundly, in complete silence, on the most comfortable bed. I could go on - we loved the warm welcome, the art, the gin, the ginger biscuits, languishing in the large wonderful high sided bath ... it was a perfect stay and we have found our new favourite place.

We stayed only two nights but it was enough to convince us that we would not stay anywhere else in Liverpool. When we booked our stay we were attracted by the prospect of living briefly in a beautiful Georgian house and eating the wonderful breakfasts that reviewers have mentioned. All of that was great, but in addition there was the pleasure of seeing the art that is displayed all over the house and of talking to Glenn and Sarah. They made it like staying with friends.

Stylish, thoughtful, top quality - 2 Blackburn Terrace was everything we could have hoped for, and more. From the outside it's no more than a terraced B&B - but what an interior and what total commitment from the owners. First of all, the decor is gorgeous, everything carefully considered, top quality and beautifully presented. You don't encounter comfort like this in most 5-star posh hotels - the sheets were to die for. Breakfast could easily have been pleasant and predictable - but not at all, there was an abundance of everything, again beautifully prepared and presented. We felt really pampered and privileged - it's a total winner.

My wife and I chose 2 Blackburne Terrace to get a real feel for Liverpool on our first visit. The hosts Sarah and Glenn were the perfect team tome our stay memorable. We had a spacious room with bath and shower, the only such accommodation of the four rooms in the Georgian style home. It is easy to walk all ver Liverpool from this location and is an ideal location close to Symphony Hall.

Response from Sarah W, Owner at 2 Blackburne Terrace
Responded 14 Oct 2019
Dear honoured guest Thank you so much for this review. Now we are in autumn I can't recall the summer stay exactly but thank you for your very kind words. And I'm glad that you can still remember it and think of it as "wonderful". Also I like that you think of He and Me as something of a "top team"!!!!! A gentle bow is due! Life in Liverpool both continues and changes - for one thing the seagulls are now gone, I expect because the fledglings are all now fledged! It's a natural sound but they do go a little crazy around July! The leaves on the trees at the front have also turned the page and are now carpeting the ground in a pretty golden hue. I do love to live in a seasonal part of the world I must say - if only for the gentle rhythms of change that bids us on and on over the years and more ! And the way that by the end of each season you are just about ready to welcome in the next. Winter is good for tucking up inside, staying warm and cosy and for being well fed!!!!! So life here at 2 Blackburne Terrace continues - we have almost completed our renovations and will post some images once the "gallery" is complete - hoping to tempt you this way again. I appreciate that the world is wide and deep and there is much to see and do. Not always possible to make a return visit! But we thank you for making the first visit! We are glad you did. Glad also that me helped make this marvellous city of Liverpool a little more marvellous! With very best wishes SGM
