Detailed Reviews
I love this place, utterly love it. It's what I have been searching for - a "boutique" hotel that really delivers on the promise of a unique, welcoming stay in a beautiful location.
The building itself is gorgeous, a feast of colour, art and excitement all complementing the wonderful old house with its high ceilings and sturdy fixings. The breakfast room feels, because it is, like an exclusive place in which we enjoyed a perfect leisurely breakfast. It was a perfect start to our days in Liverpool.
Our room had a wonderful view across the rooftops over to the Liverpool Cathedral. We slept soundly, in complete silence, on the most comfortable bed.
I could go on - we loved the warm welcome, the art, the gin, the ginger biscuits, languishing in the large wonderful high sided bath ... it was a perfect stay and we have found our new favourite place.

It was like staying with friends in their gorgeous home! Our hosts could not have been kinder or more helpful and did everything they could to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Our bedroom was lovely and spacious and we appreciated the design and the eclectic mix of furniture. Every need was catered for, from the books to the range of teas and coffee to the fluffy white towels and bathrobes and even the gin and tonic.
Breakfast was beautifully served in their classic diningroom and it was all plentiful and delicious.
Altogether we had a wonderful stay and definitely hope to return.

We can only echo others' fulsome praise of a wonderful B&B. Glen and Sarah are the most gracious hosts imaginable -- honestly! Imagine cousins who simply want you to have the best possible time in Liverpool. Cousins with a lovely (quiet, immaculate) townhouse who have everything laid on for your comfort -- who don't want to intrude, but want to make sure you have everything you need, just as you like it. The house itself is worth the visit -- beautiful rooms brimming with interesting art -- while the breakfasts, welcome, local advice, amenities, and furnishings left nothing to desire. It was an easy walk into the city centre (closer still to the university) so we ended up leaving the car there the whole time. Loved it!

What an amazing experience it is staying at the beautiful 2 Blackburn Terrace.
A striking Georgian building that has been stylishly converted into a fabulous boutique hotel. The decor is just superb, everything is so tasteful with every attention to detail. The hosts Glen and Sarah are utterly charming offering the warmest of welcomes and ensuring that your stay is perfect and pleasurable. Comfort is second to none with spacious rooms, generously sized beds, the softest bedding and it is so peaceful, the perfect recipe for a good nights sleep!
Breakfast is an experience in itself, delightfully presented, great atmosphere and so much choice! We will definitely stay here again, it truly is a hidden gem, tucked away on a quiet road but perfectly located in the heart of the city.

We stayed only two nights but it was enough to convince us that we would not stay anywhere else in Liverpool.
When we booked our stay we were attracted by the prospect of living briefly in a beautiful Georgian house and eating the wonderful breakfasts that reviewers have mentioned. All of that was great, but in addition there was the pleasure of seeing the art that is displayed all over the house and of talking to Glenn and Sarah. They made it like staying with friends.

Beautiful house and bedroom, what a setting for a luxurious breakfast, and so much lovely food we didn't need lunch. The hosts were attentive and friendly and made us feel like royalty. Would definitely recommend to family and friends

I usually prefer the anonymity of a hotel but staying at this spectacular B and B has really changed my mind. Owners Glenn and Sarah are truly the consummate hosts. They could not do enough for me during my three night stay. Sarah even took the time to write out several walking tours that I could take around the city. My room was beautiful and the breakfast that they prepared was superb! A truly outstanding experience!

This is a lovely B&B owned by a couple, Glen and Sarah, who are both amazing hosts. The property is beautiful and a bit off the beaten path although an easy walk to Albert Dock and the sights of Liverpool. Sarah makes a wonderful breakfast, worth it just for that. The B&B is filled with art, books and music…very welcoming.

We had a wonderful time in this extraordinary house; we immediately felt welcome. The house is beautiful and interesting. The bedroom was so comfortable, and the breakfast terrific. Sarah and Glenn could not have been more helpful. It is convenient for everywhere in central Liverpool. Looking forward to returning!
