Great hotel. Friendly staff on check in. A really nice room with a huge bathroom and a lovely comfy bed. Good breakfast with a nice selection and all piping hot and tasty. On top of this the location is second to none in the heart of Liverpool Can’t really ask for anymore than that

Stayed here for 3 nights this week for a stay in Liverpool with friends. the location is perfect with the shops , sights, bars all around you. The welcome was very friendly and our room was ready on our arrival around midday , so we were able to begin our adventures early. The room on 3rd floor was large with a nice large comfy bed and a lovely powerful walk in shower. The only critisism of the room was that there was not much lighting in the bedroom, but every thing else made up for it. The breakfast was good.

I stayed in the Aloft on the 10th Dec, for me it was the most upsetting experience as I had a bottle of Alien perfume taken from my suitcase in the locked room. The hotel have ignored all my contacts with them including registered post, twitter posts where they asked for my details and then ignored me. This bottle of perfume had huge sentimental value for me as it was a gift from my son before he died. With hindsight I should have left it at home but I naively thought my belongings were safe there. Along with that the hotel itself can only be described as poor, cocktails that tasted like dishwater were refunded and the breakfast was shockingly poor. So no I will never stay there again and advise others not to either.

Quick 1 nice trip to liverpool from Dublin with work colleagues, we stayed in the Liverpool Aloft Hotel for the night, was a great experience all around!!, location was excellent right in the centre. Rooms were very large and comfortable (5th floor). Breakfast in the morning was excellent with lots of options, plenty of healthy options aswell as your traditional offerings. Staff are excellent!, the girl who checked us in and the ladies that do the breakfast in the morning are fantastic. Genuine friendly. Typical Liverpudlian hospitality!!! Fantastic.

The hotel’s beautiful décor created a welcoming atmosphere as soon as we walked through the door. We were greeted by reception staff who were friendly and accommodative, they showed us to the bar and offered us a complimentary drink whilst we waited for 1 of the rooms to become available. The hotel’s location was perfect, allowing easy access to nearby bars and restaurants. The rooms were spacious and clean, with comfortable beds, and breakfast offered ample choices with the option of cooked extras (loved the poached eggs!). I would highly recommend this hotel for a comfortable stay in the centre of Liverpool.

Returning to Aloft Hotel Liverpool for a second visit was an easy choice, and once again, it did not disappoint. This hotel continues to impress with its unbeatable location in the heart of Liverpool, making it the perfect base to explore the city's attractions and vibrant culture. The blend of historic charm and modern amenities adds a unique touch to the stay, with comfortable, stylish rooms offering magnificent views of the city. The friendly and attentive staff make you feel at home from the moment you arrive, their local insights enhancing the Liverpool experience. Aloft's amenities, from the lively W XYZ bar to the well-equipped Re:charge gym, ensure your stay is enjoyable and convenient. The high-speed WiFi is a bonus, keeping you connected when needed. My second visit to Aloft Liverpool was just as memorable as the first, confirming it as my go-to hotel in Liverpool. Whether it's your first visit or your next, Aloft Liverpool promises a stay that's both delightful and unforgettable.

I will start with the positives on this hotel. The location is great for first time visit to Liverpool. Really close to The Cavern and numerous great bars and restaurants and walking distance to the Albert Docks. The check in was quick and staff very polite and welcoming. The building itself is incredible - high ceilings, original architecture maintained and lovely bar area. The bed in the room was really comfortable but was missing some colour - a throw or bright cushion would help. We were in a king room on the second floor which I first described as quirky. It was quite dark due to the wall and floor colourings. On closer inspection, the paintwork on the deep skirting was very badly marked (same issue noted along the corridors so It's maybe an issue with staff being careless with vacuum cleaners?), there were paint splatters on the floor of the wardrobe and the curtain across the wardrobe was not the cleanest. The wall beside the sink was actually filthy with make up and toothpaste stains from the previous occupants. I think what happened was that the roller door from the toilet was pulled across hiding the wall when the sink area was cleaned but no excuse really. All down the pipework was crusty and not pleasant. The shower door has also not been wiped down properly. The place stank of bleach so there had been some cleaning done but just no attention to detail or final checking done. After a shower, the floor was puddled with water from a leak out the door. The hairdryer was old, tatty and barely functioning. When we pointed out some of the issues, we were quicky offered a move and drinks vouchers. The hairdryer was replaced and fresh towels provided. Just another thought, the towels were not great quality and poorly presented for a hotel in this price bracket. Also, we got no shower gel, only double of mini shampoos with the toiletries. The dirty wall was given a bit of a rub but I had to go over it myself with a wet towel. I had chosen this hotel because of reviews confirming a great breakfast. The breakfast was just ok. Plenty of options but not the best quality. Pastries were small and ran out fairly early. Hot food options were the same on both mornings but quality varied from fresh and well cooked on day one to soggy and lacklustre on day 2. Definite staffing issues in the kitchen here I would guess. Waiting staff were friendly and polite. The best part of the breakfast really. The bar was not busy during our staff at all and there seemed to be no-one eating in the restaurant for dinner but the staff were overwhelmed and inexperienced. Getting served was slow and almost comical in that were heard other guests showing the staff where to find bottles on the shelf. In the round, this hotel is alright. I would not recommend it for a couples visit though as the room was not somewhere you would want to linger in and there was no really atmosphere in the common areas. The seating in the bar area was uncomfortable and very exposed. Also regret going with the breakfast as there were so many options nearby for breakfast/brunch that looked more appetising. The rooms badly need a refresh and staff in the cleaning, kitchen and bar areas need better training or supervision. I would not stay here again and feel it is over-priced and over- hyped in other reviews.

The Aloft Hotel exterior and interior really does have the wow factor when you first walk in and it’s a beautiful building inside and out .The architecture is amazing The reception , bar and restaurant area feels so elegant and the Location is perfect and close to everything . but we did have some issues . So we recently stayed in The Aloft Liverpool for 1 night . I always use Booking dot com and get special rates as a genius member . I had been looking at this hotel and a few others for weeks watching the prices go up and down. So I was delighted when one day the cost for the 4 Aloft King rooms that I required had reduced in price from £820 to £574 with breakfast. we were a family of 4 couples coming for a night out celebrating birthdays so I requested rooms next to each other on a higher floor . The hotel replied back to me to say they had put a note on my booking . So we arrived at the hotel at 1pm ,and I knew that we couldn’t check in until 3pm but we wanted to drop our bags so I went into the reception to ask . The receptionist was lovely and advised only 2 of the 4 rooms had been cleaned and were ready and if we could return at 3pm . she kindly stored our bags for us . We all went to different places for food and drinks and all checked in separately . Myself and husband returned to the hotel to check in at around 5pm I was told the rest of my party were all checked in and paid for . The receptionist said that their rooms were on the lower floors and did I want to be with them ? Or she could offer me the first floor ? Well yes I did want to be near them, I had requested we all be together on the booking . The receptionist said our allocated room 030 which was on the lower floor and she said it was a lovely quiet room . We thanked her , and when we got to the room the door was open ,we walked in and to our dismay it had not even been serviced, the bed was left as the previous occupants had vacated it . So I started un packing and sent my husband to reception to sort it out , while he had gone up to reception in the matter of a minute , two housecleaning staff turned up and was very apologetic . I told them I had been waiting since 1pm for our room to be cleaned yet no one had told them , at this point I hadn’t even gone into the bathroom. My husband came back and said the receptionist had given us a room on the third floor. I told him I didn’t want it , i wanted to be near family .this is what I requested . We were given two complimentary drinks for the inconvenience . So we left the cleaners to get on with the job , and we went to the bar to get a drink . With no exaggeration it took 10 minutes to get served a drink ,really not acceptable for a 4 star hotel . When I returned to the room I noticed that the bathroom was adapted . So I had been allocated a accessible room again when I never requested one, When we met up with the rest of our party later on , I then find out we're not even next door to each other anyway , so perhaps I should have taken the other room in the first place. Because it was a basement room it was very dark, no view ,only a foot of the window looked up on the street where if people looked down they could see into the room so no privacy whatsoever. The room wasn’t that warm and no one had advised us if or how or it we could turn up the heating . The positives were it was very spacious room ,a huge comfy bed and the receptionist was correct even though we were directly on the street , yes it was very quiet and we were not disturbed . The breakfast the following morning was nice and filling and plenty of choice , but it was not hot, they only serve scrambled egg,but on the table is a menu and you can request fried/boiled eggs if that’s your preference . Check out was at 12 which was nice it gave us a couple of hours to do a bit of shopping . The location of this hotel is amazing, and this is why I chose it .its 2 minute walk to the cavern quarter and all the bars , close to the shopping district and a 10 minute walk to the docks. We had a lovely time in Liverpool , but I feel that the hotel need to address the staffing issues in the bar and advertise these rooms as basement rooms so that people are given the option of which room they choose . On the website they advertise the Aloft king or the Aloft Savvy which obviously will affect the price and I understand this . i chose 4 Aloft King Rooms and no where did it say they were basement rooms or else I would have changed them , if I would have been charged the full price of £820 for these 4 rooms I would have asked for a refund and gone else where, because in my opinion of these basement rooms I could have got a better view and the same standard in a premier inn, but I am glad we only had to stay in it for one night. So check when you book . On check out not once were any of us asked if we had enjoyed our stay . I would have given the hotel 5 stars if it were not for the issues I encountered with the room lack of communication and staffing . There were no drinking glasses provided or bottled water and only two milk for the drinks. I would expect these as standard in a 4 star hotel. I would return to this hotel because it’s a lovely hotel but at the end of the day it’s lack of communication which can be easily rectified . .

Room was good size and clean. Only a limited number of channels on the tv. Bar food: thought I would get a burger and chips from the bar as I had been travelling for 5 hours and wanted something quick. Waited an age for the food to arrive. When it did arrive it was barely warm. The staff disappeared after they delivered my food and didn’t come to see if everything was ok. I couldn’t eat the cold chips but managed to eat the burger. When i did mention to the bar staff the issue he just apologised for the service. Not great considering they weren’t overly busy. Even on checkout I wasn’t asked how my stay was. Quite disappointing.
