We recently went here for the afternoon tea. It was nearly £40 for me and my partner. We was given 3 tiny 'finger' sandwiches each, which hardly had any filling and was on hard bread. The scones were rock hard and the cakes were definitely not fresh. We wasn't asked whether we wanted anymore tea after it ran out and...

Great hotel right next to the entrance to Matthew St and the Cavern Quarter. It was our first visit to Liverpool and our first stay here. If you are here for the Fabs sights I can't imagine staying anywhere else. Expense was quite reasonable. We had a 3 night stay. The service was great with special props to the concierge, Kevin...

I was told my bags would...

We stayed for 2 night doing the Spring in the City package for my partners birthday. Despite a couple of blips (which were sorted straight away by the hotel) our stay was amazing. The staff couldn't do enough for you and the hotel manager Gary was such a star. The location of the hotel is brilliant, it's so close to...

We stayed here two nights for our friends wedding. The first night we had no water and when it did eventually come through it was brown, and the second morning we had no hot water so had to have cold showers. Not the quietest of rooms, you could everything going on outside. And unfortunately encountered one of the rudest barmen...

We came to Liverpool to see some music as part of the 50 year celebration. Having stayed at the Hard Days Night twice before and enjoyed the stay, we booed again. At nearly £130/night, we expected a good standard of room and service. Staff were friendly and hotel is clean and tidy. Room overlooked the main road and was very...

We popped in to this lovely old hotel, nice doorman in attendance ,lots of stairs to climb to get to the front desk, staff very friendly and extremely efficient , We ordered roast beef sandwiches and tea, it arrived promptly sadly the sandwiches did not live up to standard of expectations as the bread was stale. Wake up chefs you need...

Another fab stay at this top hotel for my birthday. The staff are lovely , my room was fab and my breakfast in the morning at Blakes restaurant was spot on. The location is perfect as it's only a 2 minute walk to the cavern club and also it's a 2 minute walk to Liverpool one.
