Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Spent a lovely evening here celebrating my husband's husbands birthday. All special requests were catered for. The only letdown was breakfast. The serving station was very cramped, and the coffee machines weren't working; the breakfast experience didn't match with the rest. Staff did work hard but it took the shine from what had been a fantastic stay.

The hotel itself was very nice. Clean and very well presented. Lots of very cool and interesting decor and Beatles memorabilia outside and inside, on the walls and ceilings which really set the scene as you arrive in The Beatles quarter. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, however the reception itself was absolutely full of luggage. I would imagine that this is because of the late 3pm check in which is quite late in the day for most visitors here who I would imagine have come for the entire day for sight seeing. We arrived at 2pm but were unable to leave our bags anywhere as they were already guarding too much luggage. Not the fault of reception but just a chaotic system put in to place by the upper management. The room itself was very nice, clean and spacious to walk in to, however again there were some very very poor design choices. To get ready you have the choice of the slightly dimly lit bedroom area which had an adjoining neighbouring room door mirror with no plug sockets close by or the slightly dimly mood lit bathroom with no plug sockets either. You could very clearly hear the person next door talking at a normal level, we could literally hear everything. Oh well, we were here for the location and a nice evening out with live music. To set the tone, I thought I’d put some music on the tv. Upon turning the tv on, the volume is automatically set to 99 (highest setting) which scares the pants of you and you frantically have to turn it down. Once at a comfortable volume level I searched for some music channels but unfortunately there were none, not even a radio channel could be found, oh well, I’ll use my phone. The bed was a little spongy, one of those beds you sit down on and sink backwards although it was actually quite comfortable to sleep on. In the morning we decided to start with a cup of tea. There is a tea tray in the wardrobe which you pull out….but not sure where you are supposed to place as there are no plug sockets reachable to the 6inch cable on the kettle. Eventually balanced it on a chair near a plug socket in the middle of a wall and tucked in to the 3 teabags left to share between the 2 of us. On the whole, it is a really nice hotel with cool decor and the staff were great but the design of the rooms and management decisions in the general running were very much lacking common sense. I would however still recommend this as a good place to stay if you don’t mind the quirks

Staff were wonderful. Location is great. Parking not far away - we used Qpark Liverpool One. We could hear trains all night from our 1st floor rooms though which kept us awake and some facilities issues / cleanliness standards were below what we expected for a 4 star and the price.

The Location is brilliant. We found the Room, we had the classic, to be quite small. The bathroom was standard enough except you have to stand in the bath to take a shower !! Bed was really comfortable. The Breakfast isn't great.

In Liverpool for a Beatles experience and stayed in this amazing hotel. Luxurious and tastefully decorated with the Beatles theme running throughout. Perfect location around the corner from Mathew St (where the Cavern Club is). Got a fantastic deal which included breakfast and were so pleasantly surprised with the high standard of the hotel. Would highly recommend it for travellers on a Beatles experience or otherwise.

The hotel is brilliant for location, it’s very central however there are not enough staff working to ensure each guest has a good experience. Breakfast was shambolic- no clean tables, glassware not cleaned properly. I wouldn’t recommend.

This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Liverpool, from the location, the rooms and the staff! The bar and restaurant have both amazing food and drinks and we were so impressed. In particular Eric was an amazing staff member. He made us laugh and sat with us while we waited on our taxi, asking about our experience and sharing story’s. He also helped us with our luggage and was a great laugh. I can’t wait to visit again soon!
