I stayed at Epic Apartment Hotel for 3 days and I had such a pleasant experience I would highly recommend this apartment for anyone else who is looking for something cosy yet not too big, providing a lot of facilities, at a convenient location and just for somewhere to relax that's close to the city.
I had to check in at the Seel St Building on the street next door, it is about a 5-10 minute walk from there to the Epic Apartments on Duke Street. After entering through the big door (images shown below) there are camera's all over the establishment which make me feel very safe to be there, and after entering the room I booked out, it is very roomy and cosy yet quite small.
There are multiple switches for lights in different areas of the apartment and a thermostat system so you can adjust the heating if it's too cold or too hot.
Down the stairs there is a little bit under the stairs to put your shoes if you wanted to just put them away somewhere, next to that there's a switch just above the toilet door (not sure what it does) but i found that quite funny.
The bathroom came with ofcourse a toilet, small sink, and a nice shower. The bathroom is very small but it provides everything a toilet needs to.
Next to the bathroom there's the kitchen with a little table and some seats, a sink, a counter top with a table top stove, a lot of cabinets, a toaster, a kettle, dish washer, an oven and a microwave. It also has a couch and a flat screen tv for you to just enjoy yourself in the dining area.
Up the stairs there's a little desk, a wardrobe to put your coat & other things into if you need to, and a nice bed.
The overall feeling of the apartment i'd give it a 4/5, sometimes the wifi would go off and the toilet paper quality is not the best, the oven gloves also felt old and was crusty on the inside/outside (did not look hygienic at all) but overall I had a very pleasant experience at an affordable price and close to the middle of the town centre.

I stopped at the epic apartments in April. I had such a pleasant stay and was so happy with the room. You couldn’t hear any noise or any of the other guests and found everything you would need in The rooms at a great price too.It was very accommodating to me, my sister and son. The gentlemen who helped us all throughout the stay was amazing. He helped us multiple times and was always happy to do so. I would definitely recommend and will be looking to stop again in the future.

We stayed in apartment 38 in duke at for 2 nights. This apartment has a large roof terrace which you can see John Lewis, the big wheel and the liver birds from. The apartment was nice, it was clean and comfortable.
I had difficulty locating the sheets for the sofa bed but they were in a bedroom drawer. We also hadn’t been provided with shower gel etc but when we phoned reception some was sent up within a few minutes.
The flat wasn’t perfect, it could do with a lick of paint and some maintenance (bulb out in bathroom, broken bathroom door handle, tv in master bed not working) but it was reasonably good value for the amount of space and the location. The roof terrace would be great in sunny weather.
The staff in reception were really nice and helpful with everything. I was shocked when they asked for such a huge deposit (£200!) especially when we saw the flat wasn’t in perfect condition anyway, I haven’t received that money back yet.

We booked a 1 bedroom apartment for three of us to stay 1 night in order to check out the city's university for my son. The suggestion is that these rooms can sleep five people with a double and a single in a bedroom and a sofa-bed in the living area.
I booked an apartment on Seel Street and this was confirmed on two further occasions. The apartment we were given was on Duke Street a short walk away. Not that big a deal but frustrating when you have confirmed the former and Seel Street is still where you have to check in and frustrating when one of your keys doesn't open the door so you have an additional journey.
Either location is very conveniently located to access Liverpool as a city.
At the time of booking, there were covid restrictions in place. On booking, I gave all the full names of my group. I was called before our visit, asked to confirm the party was from one family group and gave full names of the party. Later, I was emailed and asked for full details of the party which I completed and returned. Then at check-in, I was asked to fill out a form with exactly the same information. This was now the fourth time I had been asked to provide the information.
During at least one of the four exchanges, I had made a point of highlighting that I son was grown up so we would need the sofa-bed made up and this was confirmed. On arrival, the sofa bed was not made up. Again, no big deal but frustrating when you have made the point and they have confirmed that it would happen.
To check out, you have to return to Seel Street. At check out, I was asked how my stay was by someone who claimed to be the general manager. I went through the above and he thanked me for the feedback, as highlighted above. Having asked the question and getting some negative feedback, I am not quite sure what I was expecting but, perhaps, a little more than just thanks for the feedback.
Liverpool is a great city, terrific for a weekend break and nightlife. Epic hotels have a bit more to do to justify their title, the repetitive small issues that could easily be addressed slightly diminished an excellent impression of the city as a whole.

Pre-arrival, our bookings manager could not have been more helpful. We got a good rate, she was super accommodating and I had just as high expectations of the weekend once we arrived. (Group of 12)
On arrival, there were a couple of niggly things in the rooms that were a bit annoying for the price.
The air-con didnt work
The sofa beds were AWFUL, hard to get out, bed was on a slant
All the quilts were in covers too small, so all had quilt hanging out the bottom
Despite these we had a great weekend and they did address the aircon issue, but so much so it was constantly on full blast and we couldn't turn it off.
My 2 main issues are;
1. A day before check out all our cards stopped working and I received calls to say we should have checked out. A mistake on the hotels part, but the handling of it was awful! I had to prove the booking and was told because I had booked one room for an extra day I'd confused the whole booking and thats why we'd had the issue. Not even an ounce of an apology for the misunderstanding.
2. Upon checkout we really cleaned the rooms up to make sure there was no risk to our security deposit. My deposits were returned and then a few days later with NO warning at all - no email, no call (against the t&c's) they took £100 from my account. I called to question and it was an incorrect payment. This was almost a month ago and I'm STILL yet to get this £100 back. No one replies to the emails (both to personal and group emails), and I can never get through on the phone. To hold £100 for a month is appalling and its really left a bitter taste for us with staying here again.

I am an EpicHotel, Seel Street Client on a monthly basis. For my recent trip in December I stayed at both The Epic Hotel & The Epic Apart. Duke Street. Therefore Im reviewing the stay at Duke Street...
I organised an evening for six of us to stay at the Epic Apartment & it did not disappoint!
The Apartment was spotless and had all the amneties one needed.
There were two double bedrooms, two spacious bathrooms, a cosy lounge & kitchen & a double sofa bed. Also a terrace with table & chairs.
We even had a beautiful Xmas tree with lights. Both Craig & Kevin the hotel managers really made our stay in there very special!
My guests were delighted too as it was a surprise for them.
We decided to eat at Epic's restaurant 'Masons' were the food was delicious, the staff friendly & welcoming, & well priced too. After dinner we decided not to go out & make the most of our apartment & we certainly did!.
I cant recommend enough, if there is a group of you, who want to be in central Liverpool for the day/night and want to have all at hand, restaurants, bars & of course shopping... Book The Epic Apartments, great rates too :)

Me and my 4 friends visited under the impression the apartment would be lovely as shown in photos! The bedroom couldn’t be faulted, beds were very comfy! The pull out sofa bed on the other hand was not, my friends actually slept in the room with us on the floor as it was comfier than the sofa bed!! Looking at previous reviews we aren’t the only ones who think so! , when we checked in we were told we had to pay a £150 deposit which we wouldn’t get back until about 10 days after we checked out..the breakfast was undercooked and certainly not worth £10 per person...we stayed in apt 30 duke street. There was a sock when we got there over the smoke alarm, and the apartment wasn’t even cleaned properly, and the entire apt block stunk of weed.. and also there was no lift...we had to carry all our suitcases up about 5 flights of stairs. WE WILL NOT BE BACK.

We stayed at the Epic apart hotel on Seel street in apartment 6 and will not be returning again. We travelled up from Cardiff for my graduation and on first glance the apartment was ideal - modern & central. I had to pay a £100 deposit at check in which who knows when I’ll get that back based on other reviews I’ve now read. When arriving in the room, everywhere was sticky (my mum had to clean the tables / work tops / floors herself), the towels had brown stains which we can only assume is tan, the duvet had yellow stains on which we believe to be urine, false eyelashes were stuck to the sofa and the apartment was just generally filthy and not looked after. We were offered clean sheets and towels, however our hand towels never arrived. We reported these issues to the night manager who came to take photos and agreed that this was unacceptable. We queried a refund as we were highly disappointed in the state of the accommodation and so the night manager contacted the day manager who in short said if we wanted a return then we’ll have to leave now. The customer service was disgusting and the management even worse. As well as the room issues, it is extremely noisy as the walls are very thin. We contacted reception early in the morning to make a noise complaint as groups sounded like they were going to come through the ceiling and the building stank of weed but we were ignored the first time and had to contact again later that night. This apartment may be ideal for groups who are not planning on getting any sleep and are just after somewhere to lie down when they come in at 5am. The only positive of the stay was that the air con worked! I didn’t catch his name but the young guy on reception (he was possibly Irish?) was extremely helpful and apologetic at check out which was very kind of him.

Where to start.......as we walked into the mini penthouse on Duke St we were greeted by the balloons for my partners birthday being in the wrong room to which I asked for. Secondly, the cleanliness of the mini penthouse was terrible. Stains on kitchen cupboards, bathroom surfaces, hand prints and smears over the terrace doors, dusty coffee table, broken glass/plastic in the 2 large framed prints, broken door on the freezer compartment of the fridge, seagull poo (not freshly dropped) over the terrace table and chairs and then the most important aspect of all, a broken air con unit. My partner suffers with chiari malformation which is a low lying brain condition which puts pressure on her neck and nervous system at the best of times and doubly worse when the temperature is higher. We checked before leaving that the air con unit was available in the room and we were told yes. On arrival we could not get it to work. There was cool air if you put your hand up to the vents but it was not blowing anything out. I went round to reception and someone came to look and they were unable to get the system working and I was left. We had no sign of anyone coming to repair it during our stay which meant my partners disability became worse but this didn't seem to bother anyone at Epic. I showed the maintenance guy a few of the problems we had spotted and someone on reception called us and offered to move us, a couple with 2 children of 15 and 9, to a 1 bedroom room. Totally inadequate and disrespectful of our needs. We were then offered a 30% refund of the total stay price but for the dirty, no air con room we had we did not feel it justified the inconvenience, upset and disappointment that had been caused. Also, the lift situation was strange at times. We all got in and pressed the floor we needed. As the lift got to our floor, it beeped 4 or 5 times and sent us straight back to the ground floor. This happened on at least 7 or 8 occasions with us all in. I messaged through booking. This was part of my partners 40th birthday celebrations but Epic somehow managed to create the worst memories possible due to their lack of care for their customers. I emailed the general manager, as the receptionist told me on check out, immediately telling him of the disgusting room and poor conditions that myself, my disabled partner and 2 children had to suffer with. All I have received so far is an automated response saying he was unable to reply until the 28th July, Wednesday. Still waiting for the reply and will email again and again with pics and post this review on every possible review site possible. The last 3 days have been a massive let down and Epic do not care about their customers health or welfare during this pandemic and to leave a woman with a disability to struggle through the heat in this so called mini penthouse was a disgrace. We will not be returning to this chain and hope people think twice about booking the mini penthouse here. You can get better at places like Skegness I bet.

We booked the Duke Street apartments and on checking in were told we had been moved to the Seel Street apartments. We had not been notified of the change and were rudely told we could go somewhere else if we weren’t happy! We took the key ( they took the deposit) and went up to the room. It was extremely hot and extremely noisy and there was no way we could stay there. We went back down to reception and asked to speak to the manager. The lady in reception said she was the supervisor and asked what the problem was. We explained that we had booked an apartment with air con and she said she would ‘try’ and switch us back to our original selection . She said that the wi-fi was down at Seel Street so they had switched their international guests and business guests who needed wi-fi to Duke street and switched guests from there to Seel Street. This, we explained, was neither our fault or our problem. We weren’t bothered about wi-fi but we did want air con. Eventually we got a key to Duke Street to a room with air con that was both dark and not so clean that had a kettle but no tea/coffee. When we came back on our second night at 10pm the key didn’t even work and we had to ring Seel Street to get someone to come and let us in. Absolutely appalling service and certainly not luxury apartments! Looks like they have also claimed the £50 holding deposit for the room.

Edinburgh, United Kingdom54 contributions35 helpful votesDo you have baby cots ? Also is a bar/restaurant in the establishment?
You would need to ask reception about a cot. The epic appt we stayed in did not have a bar but there are plenty within walking distance.
Hi There!
We recommend parking at Q-Park (44 Hanover St, Liverpool L1 4AF) , a secure multi-storey car park located approximately 2 minutes walking distance from our main reception.
As a reminder, our reception is located at EPIC Apart Hotel, 25-27 Seel St, Liverpool, L1 4AU.
After you have parked your vehicle here, please advise reception and we will issue you with a discount voucher to use on departure, which will reduce the normal rates by 30%. The cost per vehicle for 24 hours is approximately £10.50.
If we can be of any further assistance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Kindest Regards,
