Plus is the bed and the fridge in the room and the easy connection to london. Hotel itself is a joke. 0 service, the reception is always closed (except in the afternoon when no persons are in the hotel). We saw 1 person of the hotel once in 3nights and 4 days. Futhermore we couldn't order any breakfast so we...

I have to confess to having had very low expectations of this Guest House. I had booked it as the only place available South of the Thames for the night before the London Marathon 2014. I wasn't impressed from the website, and certainly not for the £350 I paid, in advance. However, on arrival we had a very warm welcome...

Received a text from "owner" explaining she had to leave because of an emergency and had left our keys. We let ourselves in and went up to our room- the "honeymoon suite" ha. What a joke. After popping out to the shops to buy cleaning agents- we decided to get in the bath we came for! The corner jacuzzi bath,...

Very friendly helpful staff. Great quick 24hour bus link to O2 made this trip to see Fleetwood mac very easy. Very good facilities in rooms inc fridge and iPod station in luxury rooms. Much better value than hotels closer toO2.

Excellent place to stay for a quick link to the O2Arena..no need to pile onto the tube as a 24hour bus link sets you back to the door in 15 mins. Bright clean place with friendly and helpful staff, all you need on your doorstep with friendly locals making it feel safe. Even had a beer in the rear garden...

This is a Guest House, not a hotel, and as such the star rating is for the B & B category. Reading the reviews I was a little wary but finding a room at short notice in the desired area was very difficult. When we arrived we found that parking was taken, but were directed round the block to an...

Chose the hotel by the pictures that were put on the website and the distance from the O2 arena! Luckily we were only staying for one night! On our arrival we found that the hotel certainly was not a 4 Star hotel and could possibly be classed as a bed and breakfast (and thats pushing it). The reception area was...

My Fiancee and I stayed here on 12/06/2013 for a gig at the O2 that evening. We had booked via booking.com http://www.booking.com/hotel/gb/greenland-villa.en-gb.html?aid=303948;label=bookings-naam-3jHr6EsDyn1Uq9ttdGmKKwS21593524221%3Apl%3Ata%3Ap1%3Ap2300%2C000%3Aac%3Aap1t1%3Aneg;sid=789aa116a06fe96b0dfe31de42877fed;dcid=1 and after seeing the photos and write up decided that this would be the perfect place for us to stay! However after booking via this third party website, we then realized going through their own webiste it would...

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
