Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Family room not ready when we arrived. Returned at 4.30 as advised uit now not available at all. Given 2 doubles, not great for a family break. Both rooms were not fit for purpose. Illfitting carpets which were a genuine trip hazard, also bleach stained. Toilet seats loose and didn't fit, bathroom door didn't close properly. Water stains running from the ceiling. Plug sockets didn't work, the 1 which did was loose and dangerous. Sticky and gross hairdryer. THE WORST BIT ... RIDICULOUSLY LOUD BUILDING SITE NEXT YO OUR BEDRROOMS. SO LOUD THE BEDS RATTLED!!!! Offered a late check out but who would want to stay in those rooms longer than needed??? We are far from picky and totally realistic travellers, we never complain - but this was beyond a joke Comfy bed

About 10 minutes walk from Kings Cross. Friendly reception staff, helpful and offered advice. Room was lovely. Clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely bathroom. We had the family room which slept four. Cosy rooms and do the job. Beds super comfy. Would definitely stop again.

Arrived for a day stay on the 28th December. My husband had surgery and it was absolutely trashing down with rain, so walking around London for 8 hours was not an option. Had originally booked a 10-2 stay but on arrival, i asked the gentleman if I could extend, even for an extra half an hour. The two members of staff did their best to accomodate and managed to extend my booking until 3.30. I was so grateful. I then got lost looking for my room (ADHD does not help with stress and instructions) and so the very lovely man at reception walked me to the door and made sure I was in safely. Room was better than expected for the price I paid. Yes, carpet was a little dated and tired, but I wasn't going to be sleeping on the floor. The bed linen was crisp and fresh, mattress comfortable, pillows were really lovely and plumped up. Big walk in shower room, bodywash provided on wall and it smelt devine. Little touches, like providing a hairdyer and the small imprint marked on the toilet roll! Lots of tea and coffee provided as well as multiple mini cartons of milk. All in all, exceeded expectations in every way , but the thing that made all the difference in a day that was already overwhelming, was the polite and caring staff. They didn't know the circumstances of my stay, yet went above and beyond to help me. Thank you so much.

Horrible place. Dirty from the curtains to the toilet to the hairdryer. Stains on the sheets and cracks in the shower. No staff to be seen despite luggage being left around the reception. The rooms are TINY and the toilet door didn’t close despite the toilet being less than a metre from the bed. Awful.

I arrived around midnight after a very tiring day. My worry that there would be no one to let me in proved unfounded and the night desk clerk was efficient and effective (you don’t want a long conversation at that time of the day!). The room was very small but I didn’t need space - I needed a comfortable bed and no noise which I got. The bathroom was to the same scale as the bedroom but, again, all I needed was a hot shower and clean facilities which, again, I got. After a good night’s sleep and having read some of the reviews I assumed that I would go elsewhere for breakfast. Wrong! There was a more than adequate display of cereals and pastries which set me up for another long day. The whole experience was exactly as advertised and everything that I needed. Recommended.

Just wanted a single room for the night near St Pancras and found this hotel to be perfect for me. The room was small but had everything I needed. Tea/Coffee making facilities, very nice shower/WC, comfy bed with TV, a safe and small wardrobe. The staff on reception were helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Staff were absolutely lovely- very friendly, polite and welcoming. pictures of the hotel are a little deceiving and a lot smaller than they seem. Room was okay for a one night stay and is very close to King’s Cross station which is handy. We had a ground floor room which is accessed by going outside across a little patio area. There was some noise from somewhere outside the hotel when we got there around 11:30 but after a busy day we were soon able to shut that out and sleep. Some marks on the bed sheets but overall generally clean.

1 star customer service, they will reply to this, quoting that I booked as a non-refundable rate just so that you are aware, but I have received nothing but hostile responses from their customer service even in extenuating circumstances , happy to take my £187 a month ago and could of booked the room again, as they told me they were fully booked today. I’m annoyed at both the hotel for blaming booking.com and the hotel for their lack of empathy. If they reply I will happily Repost the responses so that you can make you minds up for yourselves. For this kind of money I’d stay more central, with better customer service in a premier inn run this privately run accommodation

My daughter booked this hotel for 2 nights in a quad room as a surprise for my weekend in London based on locality & price. I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived . A few minutes walk with our cases from Kings Cross. The reception staff were very welcoming and we were offered a complimentary breakfast for our stay. Our room was on the top floor and I do have mobility issues but the room was worth the breathlessness. Spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated and a shower to die for .The beds 1 double & 2 singles were very comfortable and bedding of high quality . Continental breakfast served till 10am ideal to start your day. On return to the hotel on day 2 I was amazed to find all towels replaced with new and all out beds made. I don’t have one complaint, our stay was perfect and the hotel and staff lovely. I look forward to staying here again on our next visit.
